Nazri: No-confidence vote cannot be tabled on Monday PDF Print

(The Star) - The vote of no confidence against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi cannot be tabled on Monday as this has to be done in accordance with the Standing Orders of the Dewan Rakyat, said Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz.

The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department who is in charge of Parliament said that under Standing Orders rule 27, a notice for any motion had to be given in writing 14 days in advance.

"So far, no such motion has been given as yet," he said when contacted.

Alternatively, Nazri said the vote of no confidence could be tabled through an emergency motion under Standing Orders rule 18(1).

He said this however had to fulfil three criteria -- it has to be a definite matter, urgent and of public interest.

In such a case, he said, it required only a day's notice.

"It would be up to the Speaker to decide whether to allow it or not. The Speaker wields a lot of power," he said.

What Bollocks!....the speaker can only decide if firstly 'AMNO' allows him too and secondly he can only decide if the head of AMNO has the capability to decide too...wonder this can be acheived when one is sleeping most of his time and the other is barking to no avail!

Dear Nazri, You are a good guy for you still feel strongly about UMNO. Unfortunately, a tidal wave appears to be moving in the direction of the BN Ship. In all probability it will be a major disaster. Don't stay and sink with the ship. You should quietly pack your bags and leave. ESCAAAAAPE!!!

" He said this however had to fulfil three criteria -- it has to be a definite matter, urgent and of public interest."

3 Criterias ???

1) Definate matter - of course it is the utmost definate matter due to Bodowi's incompetency and incapability to lead the nation into disaster.

2) Urgent - of course its extremely URGENT that Bodowi Steps down before causing anymore damages to the rakyat and the nation.

3) Of public Interest - of course the public/rakyat is no longer interested in the useless sleeping Bodowi who can't do the job right as a PM.Who only knows how to make matters worst.

So why wait ???...Please get this incompetent idiot out ASAP before its too late !!!! smilies/angry.gif

No confidence motion is already shown when 5 states falled under PR. Nazri, are u blind(clown) , deaf(th) , stupid(g) or what??

No confidence is not a static-onedot motion. It is a continuous form. It will be hauntingly Pak Lah. Pak Lah is in denial state . and keep on repeating this mantra "Rakyat want me to be PM until 2012"

Pak Lah.. pls wake up lahhhhh..... since when rakyat choose u to be PM???
50% votes went to PR.... Those UMNO division heads chose u....
And cannnot simply equate UMNO division heads choice is 20 Million Rakyat choice...

Emmmm, definite, urgent and of public interest!
Does it not fulfill all these criterias!
Can the Speaker say NO? Yes , if UMNO says NO!
If UMNO says NO and Speaker says NO will there be NO motion?
Let it be, table it as per requirement and say NO to this disgrace of a PM!
Let there be time for the domino effect to proceed.
Let there be time for DSAI to return to Parliament.
Let there be time for Malaysians to prepare themselves to welcome the New Dawn!
God bless all true Malaysians!

History in the MAKING ..
________________________

Actually, SAPP has made history as the first ever BN component party to declare in public their intention to table a 'No Confidence Vote'. Other BN components are just puzzled at where their own balls are since they haven't used them. smilies/wink.gif

Sounds just like applying for a police permit to hold a gathering. Must give so many days notice, etc., then also, the authority will decide that it is not in the interest of the rakyat, so no can do.

The other component parties in BN will not voice out against Abdullah. You can take that to the bank. They will only speak out against him when he is no longer in power, a la Mahathir. But they ALL don't get it! March 8th is a lesson to be learnt, but obviously, none in the BN seems to have learned anything.

"The Speaker wields a lot of power,"
WHAT??????? The speaker cannot even get the MP to sit down. BN MP who behave like monkeys totally ignored him. " YB sila duduk...yang berhormat sila duduk....minta tolong, YB sila duduk". Nobody care about him.Nobody respect him Arguement continue despite the speaker's instruction to sit down. Funny..... and the Taxi king said "The speaker wields a lot of power".
Come monday the prediction is, the motion wont be allowed.
