Pengerusi Sekretariat Perhubungan Media Pemuda UMNO Dato' Sazmi Miah pagi ini memperkenalkan secara rasmi weblog Media Saka Bangsa semasa majlis Luncheon "Sembang Media" di Bilik Johor/Kedah, Aras 2, PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.

Media Saka Bangsa diperkenalkan secara rasminya kepada warga media

Dalam majlis yang dianjurkan khas untuk para media, samada arus perdana maupun alternatif (termasuk bloggers), Sazmi menjelaskan hasrat sekretriat untuk mendapat dan mengumpulkan maklumbalas dan suarahati rakyat, melalui medium berteknologi tinggi terkini.

Dalam ucapan alu aluan, Sazmi selaku Exco Pemuda UMNO mengakui Pemuda UMNO sedar bahawa media memainkan peranan amat besar untuk mempengaruhi cara rakyat berfikir dan pendekatan baru ialah berinteraksi secara positif (positive engagement) dengan semua melalui media. Ini merupakan permulaan perubahan yang akan dilakukan secara berterusan. Pemuda UMNO menyedari semenjak Pilihanraya Umum ke XI 2004, golongan yang selalunya menyokong UMNO/BN seperti kakitangan awam, professional, generasi muda dan ahli akar umbi sendiri telah mengalihkan undi mereka kerana isu isu yang bertimpal timpal. Secara amnya, populariti UMNO menurun dan Pemuda UMNO sedar isu isu yang membelengu fenomena ini perlu ditangani segera.
