Former CM should 'behave like an elder statesman' PDF Print

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang DAP yesterday told former chief minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon to not meddle in state government matters and to behave in an "ethical" manner.

Bukit Bendera member of parliament Liew Chin Tong, policy adviser to Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, also insinuated that Koh may be trying to sabotage the Pakatan Rakyat state government.

In a stinging attack, he accused Koh of going against the interests of Penangites and called on the latter to "behave like an elder statesman".

Liew said Koh had repeatedly announced outdated information about pending investment plans of multinational companies to prove his point that his Barisan Nasional state government had been responsible for courting investments.

"In doing so is he trying to prove a point or is he simply trying to sabotage the current state government?" he said.

Liew went on to question Koh on why he was going against the interests of Penangites by sabotaging potential investment plans by multinationals.

He said it was unethical for Koh to preempt potential investment announcements as it was against international best practices.

"It is the right of an investing multinational company to decide how to announce their investments in a foreign country.

"Much as we like to leave Koh alone and accord him the respect befitting an elder statesman who has 'retired', his actions so far have fallen short of such a stature," Liew said yesterday.

He added that it went without saying that many investment plans were proposed during Koh's tenure and that people were aware that the former chief minister had sat on many proposals.

"It is, therefore, inconsequential whether it is Koh or Lim who received an investment proposal.

"It is the closure of the deal that matters," he said, adding that investors everywhere looked for visionary, dynamic leadership and decisiveness in decision-making before pumping resources into a foreign land.

Liew said it was these qualities in the new chief minister which endeared him to investors and resulted in the quick conclusion of several investment deals.

It is because he didn't know how to look after the RAKYAT of Penang's interest, that is why he is THE former Chief Minister ... so of course he does not know how to behave !!

Waste of time talking to IRRELEVANT has-beens like him and Maha-Shithead !!

Of course the Barisan Najis is up to their usual NAJIS tricks to sabotage all the good that the Pakatan RAKYAT state Govts. are trying to do for the RAKYAT !

Look at the Selangor water issue, and all the village head issues in Perak etc etc. This PARIAH Barisan Najis Govt. is bent on staying in power and plundering Malaysia while making the RAKYAT pay to fill their personal coffers.

We should learn from the Romans and chuck these Pariahs to the lions in the circus and that way they do at least one good deed in their lives - fill the lions' bellies !!

What stature are we talking about here, YB Liew ?

They lost it when the Rakyat booted them out, Lock, Stock and Barrel. They are desperately trying to show that they are still very much relevant.

So, the Acting President has to do some acting. Looks more like all those rascals are trying to carry their basket while all of them are in it.

When KTK was the CM of Penang, he prefers to please his UMNO boss. Almost everyone in Penang knows that KTK was only a proxy CM for UMNO then. Now that he is no more in power, he tries to bring up issues that he should have hoping to make a come back. We will give PR government more than a term to prove themselves as after 50 years, we have learned to have patience.

Goodbye forever KTK. You will not be missed. smilies/grin.gif smilies/grin.gif

It is said when a man dies only his name remains be it good or bad. Look at how people remember Ghandi compared to Hitler. Looks like this fool is dragging his own name thru' the shit by behaving like an expired arsehole. If he wants to be remembered as a UMNO fearing coward and licker of the Khinzir Jahanam's shoes and prime arsehole, let him be. By behaving like this he is only making himself a vulgar joke that people will tell at mamak stores. Afterall gerakan is already a joke and he is the head after Lim Yak Yak who incidently is also a vulgar joke.

Gerakan used to con kampung chinese in Kelantan, give each person RM100. Take them to Penang with paid accomodation. Go eat cha ktiau, rojak, asam laksa nasi kandar. On the way back still left RM30 to spent anak bini in Kelantan Kampung.

BTW, how much the budget for such project? Your Division guy ada makan separuh ka? RM100 to win minority vote in Ktan? NAH!!!!!Next time give more hehehe.

Sesetengah pihak is a 'lembu punya susu sapi dapat name' kind of guy... first claim credit for Chong Eu's work, then now claiming credit for Kah Choon and Guan Eng's work. Tak malu.

adei koh,
you and gerakan and mca had failed penang miserably. don't claim any credit for new investments. the investors are afrasid of your face. no back bones and surrounded by parasites.
so many years you have been cm and yet you did not free those leaseholds to free holds. lim guan eng did it within 3 months in office. similarly for new villages, you did not have the guts to give them permanent grant. you are damn fool and penang DO NOT NEED YOU AND GERAKAN.

KTK is far below par to be graded a Statesman, particularly from his behavior and outlook feature, he at the best is still qualified to be an eunuch of AAB! He is still ever flip-flop in rhetorics and like a women in her menopause! He is still dreaming and in his fallacy that he can still regain power as State Government without knowing that God will not permit him such opportunity! Neither the peoples of Penang admire him and want him anymore!..................

Shut up KTK and the new CM LGE should take him to tasks for his past sins and mal-practices ever been committed! Let Penangites be the judge!.........
