(The Star) PETALING JAYA: Petaling Jaya Utara MCA division adviser Wong Leong will reveal everything about the alleged snoop squad which was set up by the party.

Wong said he would tell all after the first official hearing by the three-man committee which is scheduled to be held tomorrow.

“I have all the evidence about how this team works and when it approached me,” he said at a press conference here yesterday.

A committee chaired by Tan Sri Sak Cheng Lum was set up to probe into allegations that a snoop squad had been formed to spy on the enemies of the party.

The other members of the committee are senior lawyer Roger Tan and party veteran Tan Sri Michael Chen.

Wong also said that he did not understand why he was asked to bring along his lawyer when he was invited to the hearing.

“I just exposed the existence of the spy team and I have done nothing wrong. I am telling the truth and I have nothing to be afraid of,” he said.

Wong also revealed that panel member Tan Sri Michael Chen Wing Sum had suggested to the party’s presidential committee that the hearing to be made into a public inquiry but no decision has been made.

He said he agreed with Chen’s suggestion as it was only fair to him if the public was allowed to hear what he had to say in the hearing.

On another matter, Save MCA campaign founding member Datuk Theng Book said he was organising a dinner in Puchong on Friday for Selangor MCA grassroots members and leaders.

He said the campaign has received good support.
