Section 19 New Members PDF Print
Monday, 05 May 2008 22:13

I was at a function this morning where Section 19 and other Petaling Jaya residents submitted some 300 membership forms to join the Democratic Action Party (DAP), as well as forming 5 new branches.

It's certainly refreshing to find so many interested in joining DAP, as I believe that the "change" which occurred in the last general elections has given the people greater belief that "more" change is possible, and the "fear" of repercussions from a lobsided Barisan Nasional government receded.

The members of Section 19 are also looking to set up a mini-service centre at the Bistari low-cost flats to help resolve the problems of the residents in the area as well. In essence, we hope that these new branches will all be active in organising activities to strengthen neighbourly as well as inter-racial ties of the residents.

People should have an open mind when it comes to changes .
While we from PR are open to new members to joins in , please do be aware we dont want any members who are racist .
New memberships must be vetted , especially those who left bn .
It might be a simple membership , but we want people with quality and to uphold the party and PR fighting for , and not for the sake of blind support .
Bravos to those who have visions , especially those older members.
i am one of those who joined PKR when PKR was considered as "written off" when PKR held a single seat in parliament.
I am proud to be Malaysian now and as well proud of PKR and PR.

From 1351 to 1871,

Interestingly, pic from Tony's post illustrates 13(two partial ) faces and in the background, vaguely 10 hands not inclusive of the 13 faces.

The 13 faces comprise 6 of Indian/Indian Muslim descent, 1 Makcik with tudung with husband to her left, 3 Chinaman clearly visible and two other undistinct faces partially hidden. It is not possible to hazard a guess as to the make up from the show of hands though.

This very unscientific analysis would show a very merry multi-racial composition unlike the insinuation you make. Besides, DAP's charter is one that is inclusive unlike BN components(minus Gerakan) that are exclusive.

Recent GE results would show, the public know the way forward and members of Pakatan Rakyat definitely have a role to play that will propel the nation to greater heights unlike UMNO led BN, with their 50 years of destruction.

Have a good day.

Today my accountant friend told me many professionals have submitted to join a new Klang DAP branch. To me I'll support with time and money not only to DAP but PKR and PAS. I just want to get rid of BN! for the future of our children! See after 50 years our country's saving is zero!!! how to go on with this kind of government??? How can we carry on relying on bankrupt minds to make our country more bankrupt???

Are you guys not concerned that non-Malays mainly join DAP and Malays join PAS and PKR. I thought it is only sensible that more non-Malays will join PKR (PAS also can, if PAS allows non-Muslims) and more Malays will join DAP to ensure that the PR component parties will not be identified as DAP for Chineses, PAS and PKR for the Malays like the BN. If not careful, we who voted for the PR might also be responsible in creating another BN in the future.
