The trouble with UMNO's criteria in appointing its Ministers are not what these Ministers know, but WHO they know in the corridors of power that has the fiat to pull the string and make the final decision.

A case in point was this ex-Minister, JJ. A holder in electrical engineering degree does not indicate anything other than that he is academically qualified.

Has the government done a background check on his character, his morals, his integrity? Look at what damage he had done when he was the Chairman of the GLCs? For all his crimes, put him behind bars and everything, but do not forget he was elected legally by the good people of Rompin, which in every way has the legal right to appoint him as "their voice".
