Move to undermine Perak government launched PDF Print
Wednesday, 19 March 2008 19:00
(NEW STRAITS TIMES) - Pas has denied that it will stop the sale of liquor, abolish entertainment and gaming centres and introduce Hudud laws in Perak. Leaflets saying this would be done as soon as the political situation stabilises have surfaced in the state.

The leaflets, bearing the party's name, also label those against the formation of the Pas state government as infidels, and state that with the executive power of the menteri besar given by the DAP, which won the bigger number of state seats, the party would be able to implement all the stated agenda.

Pas information chief Misbahul Munir said yesterday his party discovered the distribution of such leaflets by unknown quarters last Sunday.

He said the leaflets, found mainly in the city, were not from his party, and that a report had been lodged.

UMNO's dirty tricks department at work. No need to panic. Just a short statement to say this is not true is enough. The coming days will prove who is telling the truth.

Take a page from CSI -

Get hold of those leaflets, do a trace - both the trace of human contacts (who left the leaflets, etc.) and evidence trace (what type of paper, who printed the leaflets, etc.) - and pretty soon you'd find who's behind this.

Since they have used the PAS logo without official consent from PAS, they have also violated the COPYRIGHT LAWS. Sue those who are behind these inflaming leaflets under sedition law, copyright law, OSA law, and whatever law that you can throw the book at. Catch them and throw them into Kamunting (hey, it's in Perak, so very easy lah!!), let them eat nasi kari everyday. In time, some of them will start to crack, and they will tell you who pay them or who instructed them. With that evidence, go after the honchos. Repeat the sue/catch/kamunting/nasi kari loop until you get to the very top. When you reach there, get Sdr. DSAI, he'd know what to do with those guys. smilies/smiley.gif

No need to deny (ini kerja bodoh). We are now in year 2008. It could be the work of UMNO or even Pas extremists themselves. Just go on, guided by good governance and everything will be ok.

Truth prevails.

Perak state government needs to come out clean with the policies and procedures for all to see. This will stop all the possible sabotage.

The one who wrote it also must be stupid. PAS did not hold the most number ofseats. PKR and DAP combined would have outvoted PAS. Anyway, UMNO is a sore loser.
I pray that Perak, PP, Kedah and Selangor would perform well and free from corruption , cronysism and nepotism for this period. If they can do thism by the next GE, NS, Malacca and Pahang would be snapped up by the PR. By then BN, UMNO, MCA and MIC would be history.
Show them that BR is a clean government and victory definitely come your way next GE.

Shallow acts from shallow UMNO/BN folks. I hope God will make them realise that they should direct all their resources and brainspace (what little they have) to taking care of their own backyard.

@ultraman
As soon as more transparency is introduced to the government, state or federal, it will be hell a lot easier to weed out corruption. Short-term wise we really can't rely on the mainstream media to expose corruptions etc, so the Internet whistleblowers will have a big role to play in this. And if we can force public inquiry into these things then our government will be a lot healthier, regardless of which party is in power. I think that is what Barisan Rakyat will look forward to too!

It is to be expected that with only a 2 seat buffer , Perak's state government will be subjected to many pressures. The rakyat have spoken even if it is not unequivocal. Let whichever party thet causes the breakup of the coalition know that when the time comes, we the rakyat will know where the vote should go this time

It's gonna tough for PAS in Perak but it's not impossible to convince the majority that they are not the extremist that people claim them to be. There will be a handful PAS extremists who will cause problems, so these people have to be carefully watched over. There will definitely be unhappy members of other political parties to try sabotage PAS' efforts in Perak.

Remain calm, work together to eradicate this problem.

No logic @ all. PAS need 148 seats to form an Islamic state. In order to form an Islamic state, they need to get non-muslim support. smilies/smiley.gif

The 4th storey boys again ? Before the GE, they'd distributed leaflets that potray DSAI & Wolfowitz having a conversation, smear DSAI good name by claiming that DSAI had an allience with US to be spy and "memperkudakan PAS".

How desperate those 4th storey boys are protecting their masters with this kind of tactics. Barua Nasionals... nothing much to say...

The person who initiated this kind of activity is mentally un-sound, desperate, un-civilised, with a very bad culture, and definitely has a poor up-bringing, bad family back-ground with limited education and proper discipline...All the "rempits", gansters, trouble-makers, including a few cabinet ministers fall under this category....Truth really hurts.
