Ansari blamed for Sabah PKR's losses PDF Print

Tenom: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice youth chief Rudy Sulaiman blamed the State PKR liaison leadership headed by Ansari Abdullah for the poor results achieved by the party in Sabah in the recent General Elections.

He said he has no intention of singling out anyone for the losses, except the refusal of the state party leadership to listen to the wishes of the divisions on the suitable candidates.

"It was most unfortunate that Ansari did not consider the candidates that were chosen based on the support from the grassroots and instead made his own decision resulting in disputes that angered the supporters of PKR," he said, Monday.

Rudy said the matter would be discussed in the post mortem meeting scheduled soon and that Ansari should take all the responsibility on what had happened to Sabah PKR.

"For example, Ansari made a big mistake when he took out Joe Jimmy's name who had been working hard with his supporters from the beginning in the Tenom Parliamentary constituency and replaced with Aderis Taripin, who has never been on the ground as the candidate," he said.

Meanwhile, Rudy in congratulating Melalap Assemblyman Datuk Radin Malleh for being re-appointed Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister hoped promises like bringing the Sabah Development Corridor to the interior especially in Melalap sub-district would be realised as soon as possible.

At the same time, he urged Radin to use his position well and see to it that projects like the Binai Bridge as well as the bridge crossing Pegalan river would materialise. - DAILY EXPRESS

I just want to say this to Rudy Sulaiman:

No use pointing fingers. What the Sabah Keadilan should do now is to get their acts together with Sabah DAP. That was actually the main cause of the opposition's failure here. Cukup sudah pulitik kampung bah Rudy.

Indulging in self denial just won't work my friend. The simple reason for the opositions failure in Sabah was that they failed to work together as a team.

PKR in Sabah did not get to win any seats at all in the recent general election not by accident but by its own choice.Consider two glaring generalities:
•Where it was involved in a one to one fight with BN, PKR own candidates gave way to BN’s win either thru the tactics of getting disqualified during nomination day, or cooling completely off during the cooling period.
•In the few areas where DAP contested and was known to have asked to contest one to one against BN, PKR fought tooth and claw to field PKR own candidates in all DAP contested seats to ensure votes are further split.

In short, PKR did not hedge the odds.

Winning and losing in Politics has all the attributes of hedging; PKR failing to do so indeed draw suspicion to the strategies it deployed.

In Sabah, PKR failed by design; part of a design to incur maximum collateral loss in the so called opposition front.Believe it.

PKR Sabah failed to work with DAP Sabah.
What went sour , we dont know.
was it pure greed over there, was it lack of guidance for them or was there a leadership problem for Sabah.
DSAI , LIM KS must really work harder and dont forget working with PAS.

frazaliegh :

I think this idea is worth considering. PBS IS a multi-racial party and still have a very strong grass root support here in Sabah. What say you Pairin? Kasi tinggal lah bah itu BN tu... Kau lupa sudah kah apamacam UMNO kasi main semua orang pasal Ku Li pakai Siga? You were spot on from the very beginning... "multi-racialism" IS the way forward.
