(Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim Sunday again held a meeting with Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at the Prime Minister's Office here, believed to be regarding the appointment of the Menteri Besar of Perlis.

However, he declined to be interviewed by waiting reporters and when a group of them tried to approach his car as it was making its way to the entrance of the office at 11am to get his comments, his driver accelerated away.

Shahidan who as sitted at the back with his wife, also crouched down when photographers tried to take pictures of him.

His black BMW car with registration number RG12 only came out 2.40pm together with four other vehicles.

It is believed he had met Abdullah at 12.40pm.

The appointment of the new menteri besar of Perlis in the aftermath of the March 8 election, became embroiled in controversy when the Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail consented to Bintong assemblyman Datuk Dr Md Isa Sabu being appointed to the post in place of Shahidan, who had been recommended for it by the Prime Minister.

Following the election Shahidan, who was the incumbent, had met Abdullah to get his approval to be re-appointed as the Menteri Besar of Perlis

Yesterday, Abdullah had assured that he would resolve the matter.

The Prime Minister gave the assurance to 10 Perlis Barisan Nasional (BN) assemblymen he had called to meet him at his office, yesterday.

The BN won 14 of 15 state seats at stake in Perlis in the election. Shahidan won the Tambun Tulang seat while the seat that was lost went to PAS.

10 dari 15 ADUN dah tak terima hang, Raja Prelih pun dah tak suka hang, maknanya ramai yang tak suka hang lagi,

Hang nak buat apa lagi, tak malu ka jika jadi MB balik majoriti tak sokong hang,

Hang nak minta tolong Pak Lah pun dia pun tenggelam timbui, kedudukan dia pun ada masalah,

Dia pun penin semacam, nak bentuk Kabinet yg berwiwaba - bukan senang o, kena pressure sana sini suruh turun.... tak kesian ka kat dia... sepatuiknya hang tolong bantu dia tapi hang bagi masealah lagi kat dia,

be a gentleman lahh

at least si derih usop tu gentleman juga,

hang tak malu ke shidan.... ih ih ih ihhhh
