PETALING JAYA: The DAP has lodged a police report against Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Khir Toyo for allegedly signing a contract on behalf of the Selangor Government with Puncak Niaga Holdings a day before polling.

Pandamaran assemblyman Ronnie Liu lodged the report at the Selangor police headquarters at about 3.30pm yesterday.

Liu claimed in the report that once the state government had been dissolved, Dr Mohd Khir was not allowed to sign any contract on behalf of the state government. - STAR

The US Government would call what they say a "premptive strike". Toyo would fare better to fight the ongoing war in Iraq to emulate the example. In such mentality, grab while you still can. Desert Storm even before the UN could release their findings on WMD. Similar tactics. Do not expect the Police to find anything conclusive. They are all still very busy trying to nab the culprits who evade national service and unpaid parking summons by going door-to-door.

The RAKYAT demands that all previous corruptions (especially highlighted in MT) be brought to justice.

But could the courts be trusted to carry out the justice?

Did you ppl observe the body language and the smirk on Khir YToyo's face during the press conference announcing his role as opp leader. This guy has no remorse and decency. He promised to make sure the new S'gor govt fulfil all election pledges which include healthcare issues. He also promise to register as many as possible all those who are eligible for the healthcare in an effort to thwart PKR/DAP/PAS every move.

To such a traitor, I've this to say to him: Pls dream TOYOL, you'll remain an opposition figure forever. You just mark my word, IDIOT!!

Puncak Niaga is basically belonged to UMNOPutra Selangor.

This is what NEP is all about, to enrich the UMNOPUTRAs, MCAPutras and MICputras.

Ronnie Liew,

Now that you have formed the state govt, please follow up the police report with the state Police Commissioner, and make sure the investigations are completed in a week. If there are irregularities get the state public prosecutor to file charges immediately. Obtain independent legal advice on the public prosecutors charges and case against toyo, as we don't want a watered down case that is designed to be lost!

Make another announcement within a week or so!

Hah! That's is the kind of leader one can expect with UMNO/BN party. Penyamun sial! Track him down like a dog and show us what justice is. Tan Sri Khalid, being the new MB of Selangor, we would demand that there are no cover ups. Toyo and his cronies should be brought to justice for all to see! Let the signal of a change for the better be sparked - starting with Toyo.

BTW, any one has any news about the PKR candidate vs SIL election case in Rembau on the contentious election results? Any cover ups?

Technically, Ronnie Liu appears to be correct. But if the agreement/contract was dated before the dissolution of the State Assembly, there isn't much anyone can do, even if someone testifies that the contract was actually signed 1 day before the polling date. Its the date of the contract that is important and not the date of signing it. Anyway, the date of the contract is always construed as the date of signing.

(2)
However, even if the ex-MB had signed before the polling date, the matter is really about politics and not about technical legal due process.

(3)
Following point (2) above, the police may have some difficulties in executing their duty. There is too much at stake for the senior police officer and anyone else who has some clout and some say in that deal. The senior police officer and in fact any police officer is not quite free to act according to the law - just not yet. That is the reality.

(4) Ronnie's intention is really therefore to bring the matter to the court of public opinion. Its like this: Doesn't matter if any investigation is carried out, but fire the first salvo before the other fellow fires.

(5) A more important issue for the opposition is whether they can revisit the contract and if it is not legally binding, plus after some negotiation with Puncak Niaga, the Terms of Reference should be studied and a fresh open tender award should be published inviting any and all who are capable to tender.

(6) In addition to point (5) above, the work/services of the said contract must in the first place, be beneficial to the state, and not just for the sake of creating some work. No doubt, we may have to apply some Keynesian economics to keep the propensity of wealth creation going, the contract must at the same time be of some merit or use to the public.

Since this toyol is not authorised to sign the contract as the state government had been disolved, the New selangor state goverment should consider the contract null and void. This will teach the UNMO losers that their cheating games are not going to work.

We don't want Puncak Niaga to have any contract with selangor state government...

Puncak niaga have sack all people who do not join BN... If you work in Puncak Niaga, first thing you have to do is to be a member of BN especially UMNO.

Puncak Niaga robbed the state water and sells it to the rakyat at a very high price...

They change the old water meter and replaced with a new non-calibrated yellow meter which benefits PNSB...

We in Selangor and WPKL demands for a cheaper water supply...

YAB Tan Seri Menteri Besar... please get rid of puncak Niaga... ASAP!!!
