BN failed to realise that they had breached the “Social Contract” a very long time ago.

To them (some of their arrogant ministers have used this term in the past, albeit without knowing its true meaning), they actually thought that the electorate in the past had given them a carte blanche to do anything they wished to the detriment of all Malaysians save for a select few. We did have ministers who arrogantly would say “The People elected us”. They were drunk of this fact. Not surprisingly, whilst in their politically drunken stupor, they failed to realise that the same “People” could send them to policitical oblivion as well.

They had breached the Social Contract and knowing that they could get away with it after the last few decades, they went on to demean, mock and scorn this concept. But the Social Contract is a true and living concept. It is there. Its terms are real and the consequences of its breach will be seen eventually. The contract can be taken away when it has been breached by any government as was seen last Saturday.

We gave up some of our rights to be governed by the government of the day, otherwise all of us would be no different from the law of the The Wild Wild West. Giving up these rights doesn’t mean it is given up forever, because pursuant to the concept of the Social Contract, it can be taken back. It was the electorate’s rights to self-govern that were traded in exchange for these MPs to form the government to govern. Breach the contract to govern effectively and properly, then the contract is breached and the electorate takes back these rights to be given to others.

I did not even register as a voter until December 2007. What made me drag myself to the nearest post office to register? It’s because I felt that the Social Contract has been breached (especially when I read and heard more and more of the antics of one non-elected relation of the PM and the squandering of tax payers’ monies). I always believed in this concept right from the time I read about it during my 1st year reading law. Looking at the results now, I am extremely delighted that I played a part in it by voting for the very first time in my life! I suppose now that there were thousands who felt the same way as I did.

To our new heroes in the four states of Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor. I wish you the very very best and I am confident that you will do a great job as the new State Government. But I must caution you of this: “Power tends to corrupt, absolute power corrupts absolutely”. The BN had their own customized concept of “All power tends to corrupt, absolute power is even more exciting!”, and eventually had their faces dragged through mud for this.

To our own Nelson Mandelas and Martin Luther Kings at Kamunting now, I salute you for the sheer guts and nerves you displayed in walking up and testing the racist BN.

So to the Barisan Alternatif, do remember the concept of the “Social Contract”. Entrench this firmly into your actions and goals and I dare say that you will be on your way towards forming the next Federal Government, perhaps in 2012/13.

Best Regards,

PJ708

Looking at the situation now, majority of the advance states are being ruled by the opposition parties of the Federal government. This could be a problem in running the parliament as the BN do not have 2/3 majority. Let both do not have 2/3 majority but lets work a way to topple BN to be the opposition in the federal government too.

The opposition in the parliament need about 30 seats to rule this country... This is a small number. I think DSAI can play a bigger and greater role now in negotiating "the best, clean and good candidates" in the BN and independent parties to cross over to DAP,PKR or PAS... Lets change Malaysia to be a better country... Let Johore, Pahang,NS, perlis and Malacca be under BN. For Sabah and Sarawak, let them think wise..

Lets show to the Rakyat, to the BN and to the world at large that this Barisan Alternative or Barisan Rakyat is a better, fair, and efficient government of this century.

I am happy to hear that the new MB of Kedah said that the state government will not close KEMAS, an UMNO tadika institution, but to let it go on and even they are willing to help to make it better. When UMNO was in control, they tried to close down PASTI, PAS tadika. Show the rakyat that BA/BR is a better government.

Lets show fairness to all, doesn't matter if the states are ruled by BN. Lets take ove the country. Lets make what DSAI said to make PakLah as the "ketua Pembangkang" di parliament. Najab to be trial in court. Revamp the judges, revamp the BPR, revamp the PDRM, Revamp the SPR, Revamp RTM Revamp what need to be Revamp...

Lets show to the rakyat and the BN (as the new opposition)and the world at large that the concept of a welfare state of free education, free water, and free medical can be materialized.

Lets make Malaysia a unique nation of multi ethics with 100% guided freedom of rights and speech, freedom of faith of choice, freedom of mass media infomations...

Let put our Raja Raja Melayu to a position where they have a function for the people rather than just giving awards and ceremonial duties...

DEAR DSAI, YB HAJI HADI, YAB MR LIM... IF YOU READ THIS, I SINCERELY HOPE YOU START LOBBYING THE RIGHT PEOPLE WHO WON THE LAST GE TO CROSS OVER TO BA... OF COURSE NO BUYING, IF MONEY IS INVOLVED, THEN WE DONT NEED THEM..ONLY CLEAN AND GOOD ACADEMIC BACKGROUND POLITICIAN PLEASE... WE DONT WANT PEOPLE LIKE ZAKARIA OF KLANG...

I BELIEVE BA CAN DO IT AND I BELIEVE THERE ARE 30 BN PEOPLE IN WEST MALAYSIA, SWAK AND SABAH ... NO NEED TO HOLD 2/3 MAJORITY BECAUSE I FEEL WE NEED A STRONG OPPOSITION... 55/45 IS GOOD...

CAN WE DO THIS?

Let this be a lesson.....break the social contract....pay the price.....Jabatan Pendaftaran run by balless civil servant was dishing out MyKads to Indonesians and Pakistanis and treating Indians and Chinese who fought for independance as third class citizens.....UMNO obviously thought they can and still hijack this country.....8 more states to go.....

The best Malaysian Government would be a multi-racial government.

The British did well as a colonial government. During their rule, the government is filled with Malaysian of all races. The British did take away our wealth to their country but they did it with class. BN was more greedy than the British, they take away everything but the malay remain poor.

The PKR led government should have a proper plan and strategies to government and address all the issues and promises made during the campagning period. The rakyat remember every word you said.

No revenge please. Malaysia Berjaya.......
