Just when you thought Dr. Asri's arrest was just a Selangor JAIS foul-up, guess who wades in as well!

This makes it interesting doesn't it, since JAKIM is a Federal Government institution???

Is this a case of all sorts of resentment and hatred all spilling out?

Jakim: Asri palsukan kelulusan Syariah

KUALA LUMPUR 2 Nov. - Bekas Mufti Perlis, Dr. Mohd. Asri Zainul Abidin didakwa memalsukan kelayakannya dalam bidang syariah di peringkat ijazah Sarjana Muda (Kepujian) Bahasa Arab/Syariah dari Universiti Jordan.

Penolong Pengarah Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia (ILIM), Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (Jakim), Zamihan Mat Zain AlGhari mendedahkan, berdasarkan pemeriksaannya, bidang pengkhususan Asri hanya melibatkan Bahasa Arab dan Sastera.

"Universiti Jordan tidak menawarkan dua pengkhususan dalam satu ijazah. Sekiranya seseorang itu berkelulusan syariah, minor pengajian biasanya melibatkan bidang berkaitan seperti 'fiqh wa usul'."

"Pengajian Bahasa Arab dibenarkan untuk mengambil minor Syariah tetapi hanya sebagai subjek elektif. Sekiranya ia diambil sebagai elektif, maka ia tidak dikira sebagai pelajar syariah," katanya ketika dihubungi Utusan Malaysia di sini hari ini.

Hello Lebai Zamihan,

If you think the "fahaman Wahabi" is extreme and deviant, than when you are in Makkah, please don't pray in the Masjidil Haram where some if not most of the Saudis are Wahabis. Better still, please don't go to Makkah to perform your Haj or Umrah because you will be praying with a deviant cult!

This stupid asses from the higer offices in the Religous department is trying to create animosity against fellow Muslims (not to mentioned, from time to time, also creating animosity agaist other faith too).

Bigots.. .Idiots!

Aku hairan betul... Kalau orang sebarkan fahaman Wahabi di Malaysia kena tangkap. Habis tu yang korang berpusu-pusu nak tunaikan Umrah dan Haji kat Mekah dan Madinah tu buat apa????

Bukan kalau korang sembahyang kat Masjidil Haram dan Masjid Nabawi tu imam dia fahaman Wahabi ke? Kenapa kalau kat sana boleh pulak. Kalau haram sangat Wahabi mengikut fahaman JAIS tu, semua sembahyang yang berimamkan Iman yang fahaman wahabi tidak sah!

So dari tahun depan, Tabung Haji tak payah hantar orang buat Umrah dah haji ke Saudi. Hantar ke negara yang mengamalkan mazhab Shafie. Sebab macam mana nak sah solat kita kat sana kalau semua iman dia fahaman wahabi kan?

bila tok arab termasuk keturunan raja datang ke malaysia dari saudi arab,bukan main hebat sambutan diberi termasuk karpet merah. Yang najib pi sana mintak perlaburan dari saudi buat apa?

Well, well, Marina what talking you? To sue JAKIM in civil court? I am sure the Civil court will said this is under Syariah lah!

When they want to nail you down, they will use all kind of weapons that suit them, in this case they will just push it to Syariah.

I am not a Muslim and thus not qualified to talk about Islam, but I am just wondering why the Muslims always fight among themselves with trivial matter such as who is the greatest protectors of Islam and who is more qualified to protect the religion.

I heard that a former SPB Yang DiPertuan Agong is a Wahabbi. He is the head of religion in his small state.

Saudi Arabia, the cradle of Islam, has the rulers and religion heads from Wahabbi Sect. The rulers are decendants of their main prophet.

So, what is the fuss all about?

May be the Official religion of this country should be Jainism. No sects and no cowheads dragged around.

I've been writing all along, "Don't Play God" as the results are disastrous to humankind, and civilization.

Here we have Islamic Government authorities slugging it out on Islam, not to mention the various Islamic countries having their different laws on syariah. Isn't this all a tragedy!

This again shows that there is no love and peace in Islam. When there is love, there is freedom. Freedom to preach and to listen to whatever we want to hear. Unless it is a universal view of wrongs, like imorality and drugs that leads to destruction of society, everyone should have the rights to preach and to read or listen.
When a group takes away this freedom, it is because they think they are right and good. Is it the duty of a person to impose his view and beliefs on others? If one thinks that this is wrong, out of love ,he should gives advices and encouragement, but not try to take over by force. What if one is bound for hell, then would it not be a great injustice that one had dragged another with him?

The greatest love a person could exhibit is to set others free, Free to choose his way of living, his belief and faith and free to share his views and ideas, and to hear what he wants to hear.All with an honest good intention. This is a universal truth or views, that is agreed by all civilised cultures. The Truth that will set everyone free.

I am not saying that other beliefs shows love or brings peace. Its just that right now there are too much publicity about Islam. Even the BN government's religious department are ramping up the Islamic doctrines and cultures. And not to mention the daily trajic suicide and murder committed by so called 'deviant' Muslims. And the 'weird' and cruel unfair treatment of Muslim women, aroud the globe. And the riots and disorder in many Islamic nations.
Our question today is ,'' How can Islam claimed to be the right religion, or the best, or good, or fair ,or peace, when all that were before us, shows otherwise ?''.

Hello Steven Ong, To answer your question, I think the religion is hijacked by the selfish peoples in order to propel themselves to power, they knew that there will be millions of Muslims who believe in them.

The next question will be, why millions of Muslims believe in them? Some Mat-Sallehs called it Clash of Civilization, may be there are some truth in it.

Don't assume if Saudis do it, it is Islamic!!! In Saudi, women cannot drive! So many other things , Saudi culture is backward Arab culture! And Malay culture is very open and considerate. Don't equate Islam and Wahabbi practices as one and same! We can still be muslims and be Malay as well. We don't have wear Jubbah to be a muslim!!!
