The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is expected to charge Wong Chuan How, an aide to Selangor executive council member Ronnie Liu, at the Shah Alam Sessions Court today.

Wong’s lawyer Cha Kee Chin, when contacted yesterday, confirmed that Wong had been ordered to appear today at the Shah Alam Sessions Court for mention of the charges against him.

Cha, who is Bukit Kepayang state assemblyman, said Wong is expected to face two charges but is yet to know the specifics of the charges.

The charges against Wong are believed to be related to MACC’s probe into the alleged misappropriation of state allocations for the Sungai Pelek constituency, which was under Wong’s supervision.

Wong had been quizzed over the matter at the MACC’s headquarters in Putrajaya on Aug 20 while Liu was similarly questioned over the case on Oct 23.

Meanwhile, Bernama reported that an MP, who is also a former Selangor assemblyman, was among three people nabbed by the MACC in Selangor yesterday on suspicion of corruption and cheating.

The other two were an assistant of the MP and a former aide of the Selangor menteri besar, MACC said in a statement here.

It said the trio, together with an aide of a Selangor state executive councillor (exco) and a director of a company, would be charged in the Shah Alam Sessions Court this morning for graft and cheating.

According to the statement, the MP had allegedly been involved in furnishing false claims when he served as an assemblyman with the assistant abetting in the matter.

The menteri besar’s aide is alleged to have cheated the head of a government-linked company (GLC) into paying RM50,000 for a function purportedly organised by the state government.

The aide of the exco is alleged to have submitted invoices containing false information to the Sepang district office while the company director allegedly furnished invoices for supply of goods for programmes carried out in the Teratai constituency to the Hulu Langat district office when in fact none were delivered.

I am disappointed that Khir Toyol is not in the list of persons to be charged. His godfathers are still protecting him!

MACC will 'create' a few more arrests just to make things fussy and dilute the public condemn on their murder TBH case.

Expect more sandiwara and drama from MACC BUT we are not convinced till the murderers of TBH sent to the gallows!...The Rakyat are not stupid

With one body count[Beng Hock's], the MACC has to show some results out of its many hours of fishing.
Yes, by all means if Wong has committed any criminal offence, he must face the fuul weight of the law.
As should be the case with one and all with mud on themselves.
But sadly, they are those UMNOPutras who seemed immune to prosecution!

So tired especially when we see these idiots doing all these and there is nothing good rakyat can do to stop it. Want to just throw the towel in because we know rakyat will lose their ability and will to drive for change. Come next PRU 13 we will know if rakyat is ready for change or PRU-12 is a note in Malaysian history.

Even the we know the real motive behind this, if there is a truth in the charges, let him face the consequences of his act even at the cost of PR losing the Selangor State.
The small fish will turn into giant shark if left unchecked.
