IPOH: Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi, a former state executive councillor accused of corruption, did not take any bribes for the purpose of approving a proposed housing development project in Pusat Bandar Seri Iskandar last year, a witness testified yesterday.

In fact, Jamaluddin (now an independent assemblyman after leaving Pakatan Rakyat early this year) had never asked for money at any point regarding the project, said the prosecution's star witness, Mohd Imran Abdullah.

Imran also admitted that the former exco member did not discuss the project with him when he met Jamaluddin at his office in the Perak State Secretariat building.

Imran yesterday admitted in the Sessions Court that the evidence he gave during examination-in-chief last week contradicted the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) report he had lodged detailing his meeting with Jamaluddin.

In his MACC report dated Aug 14 last year, the same day he had met the former exco member, Imran stated that Jamaluddin had discussed the proposed housing development project, had asked for RM5,000 from him, and had taken RM5,000 from him.

During cross-examination by counsel Mohd Roni Abdul Rahman yesterday, Imran admitted that neither his testimony during examination-in-chief nor the video recording of his meeting with Jamaluddin at the latter's office was consistent with his written MACC report.

"I agree that the statements I made in the (MACC) report are not true," he answered calmly when questioned by Roni.

Roni is acting for Jamaluddin and Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu, another former PR exco member- turned-independent.

Jamaluddin and Osman, together with former Perak Tengah district councillors, Usaili Alias and Zul Hassan and contractor Fairul Azrim, are charged with accepting bribes of between RM400 and RM100,000 between Aug 6 and 19 last year, and sexual favours from women arranged by Imran as an incentive to obtain a development project in Pusat Bandar Seri Iskandar, about 45km southwest of here.

Charges against Ruslan Sahat, a technician with the Perak State Development Corporation, were dropped after his death on Aug 3.

Imran, during cross-examination, also said Osman and Ruslan were not with him when he met Jamaluddin, and that only Usaili, Jamaluddin, and MACC's undercover agent Norliza Yusof were with him.

He admitted he had wrongly stated in the report that Osman and Ruslan were present during the meeting in Jamaluddin's office.

When pointed out that he stated in his report that Usaili had asked for money, the 34-year-old car salesman said the statement was inconsistent with his testimony.

Imran said Jamaluddin had never called him either before or after the meeting, adding that the first time he met and spoke to Jamaluddin was on Aug 14.

Hearing continues today.

On Tuesday, Jamaluddin (independent-Behrang) and Mohd Osman (independent-Changkat Jering) applied for a three-day adjournment of the proceedings to enable them to attend the Perak state assembly sitting which begins next Wednesday.

Sessions judge Azhaniz Teh Azman Teh indicated that he may allow the two to attend the assembly sitting.

"I think I have to allow it," he said, short of giving a definite answer to the application.

PROSECUTION STAR WITNESS DOES AN ABOUT-TURN
-----------------------------------------------------
Of course the UMNO regime court system will ask the prosecution witness to make a U-Turn since the froggy Jamaluddin had licked Najib’s balls in supporting the UMNO-BN regime to form the Perak state government!

This star witness Mohd Imran Abdullah, is MACC “anjing” in trapping political opponents by arranging bribes and by putting cameras with pin-hole cameras in hotel rooms to record their sex acts with China dolls. I supposed he does this not only to trap the former PR Aduns (thank God they have left!) which was orchestrated by MACC under the supervision of UMNO but also to fulfill the lust of that child porn addict’s father at MACC. . ., like father like son!

In no time they will throw this case out of the court. You see. . .,how the have abused their power? And those people in the UMNO-BN regime and the good for nothing royalty is wondering why the rakyaat are hating them and wishing them to rot in hell on each passing day. . .!

Wow, now he didn't ask bribe. The witness lodge a false report. The kataks by virtue of winning under PR's tickets enjoyed nice sex, money, betrayed the trust of Perakians, AG saved face by not withdrawing the case, Judge also no need susah susah need to write long judgment. Semuanya ok.

Now it comes. I was wondering when and how they will "arrange" to exonerate the two Aduns because it is clear to all and sundry that if they were really found guilty they would be disqualified and BN would be sitting on a razor thin majority in the Perak State Assembly and could be toppled anytime.

For whatever it is worth, this stooge who did a U turn should be charged for perjury under oath and have the book thrown at him. But his "sentence" would be tempered by a big fat reward sitting in the bank? MACC, don't you think you should look at his bank account just like you checked TBH's bank account?

What a show!

The judge even allow both crook to attend the assembly.

Just get on with the show. First, the secretary 'lost' her notes. Now, the star withness turn against it.

It is funny. Even if the 2 crooks did not ask for money, they still take the money and have sex with the prostitutes. I hope the court is not less stupid than i think it is.

Since UMNO has achieved their goal of taking over Perak with the help of these jokers, this Mohd Imran Abdullah joker will screw up his testimony in order to have the court to impeach him as a witness...Isn't it a crime carrying a jail sentence for giving false testimony in court??? Or let's not forget, this is Bodohland and anything goes in this Land of Bolehwood as long as it serves the need of UMNO..

If not, then Najis team will not have enough ammunition to deal with PKR assemblymen. Moreover, a promotion is very likely with this decision. It's better than cold storage. That's all.

how come all the star witnesses can lie in courts and get away with it? I have not seen or heard anyone being convicted of perjury. our courts are worse than kangaroo courts - they are "buang sampah" courts and Malaysia is a discarded / rejected nation. First Class bullshit - third world mentality. How to be proud of being even an ordinary Malaysian; let alone a menteri? Only a shameless person would still be a PM and continue to perpetrate this "buang sampah" administration. Mana boleh tahan.

The evidence is irrefutable. The two frogs were caught on camera humping china prostitutes. I don't see how they can continue to be assemblymen. The state govt should sack these 2 assemblymen and call for fresh elections. Since BN claimed the indians and chinese are returning to their fold they have nothing to worry about. Comon let's get this over in Perak once and for all.
