As a non Muslim, I am still waiting for more Muslim to show me the beauty of their religion; the love and justice for their fellowmen and a vehement outrage over the high incidence of corruption in this 'supposededly Islamic country'

That's why all Islam authorities and teachers insist that Quran cannot be translated into other languages. Many Malaysians and Indonesians chant the quran but don't understand when they chant. So they blindly believe the racist and devils in disguise who act religiously like Muslims.

The more confused Muslims are the better. Why do Muslims accept that they should not understand their prophet, but call themselves Muslims? Funny religion.

Just back from Friday prayer. I seldom make myself available in commenting about religions, mine or others. I hold dear to my belief in Chapter 112 of the Al-Quran: Al-Ikhlas or The Purity of Faith that reads:

Say: He is God, the One and Only.
God, the Eternal, Absolute.
He begets not, nor is He begotten.
And there is none like unto Him.

Never mind, if you are disagreeable in that; and am pleased to quote Chapter 109: Al-Kafirun or Those Who Reject Faith that reads:

Say, O you that reject Faith.
I worship not that which you worship.
Nor will you worship that which I worship.
And I will not worship that which you have been wont to worship.
Nor will you worship that which I worship.
To you be your Way, and to me mine.

Any religion to me for that matter is just like sweet, bitter chocolate. If you like it take it otherwise, just let it be, leave it on the shelf for other takers.

It's rather sad that Malaysia does not produce enough intelligent scholars such as this beautiful learnered individual but tons of idiots who speaks of religion extremity, ethnic and cultural biasm.

It is indeed sad where Malaysia is heading to.

In Islam, the one that deserved Allah blessing is the most devoted ( taqwa) not the arab, not the jewish or any other race. Even if the man is of the blackest skin colour, it doesn't matter.

Who is the most devoted? Those who follow His path and His true teaching as prescribed in the Quran and Hadits.

yes, race should not be the issue for religion, you said it right, but do those UMNOputras understand what you said?? If you really understand, then, why Malay can not be freed from the issue of religion? Who decided that the MALAY = Muslim only?

So sad to note that this educated Malay lass picked up nothing from her stay in the UK.

Unless she lived in a Malay coccoon in the West, there is no way she would not have realised as a University student that racism and racial privilege is deeply despised by the vast majority of ordinary Europeans. Europeans do not need to refer to the Bible or Torah in order to realise that racism is wrong. There is such a thing as basic humanity and common decency. This girl seems to imply that Malay culture is dysfunctional and racist and needs Wahabi Islam to 'civilise' it. She could not be more wrong.

Traditional Malay culture is sophisticated, inclusivist, pragmatic and gentle. Her problem is that she has been brainwashed by UMNO and Islamic chauvinism which is a curse on this nation. Islamic chauvinism started to spread like wildfire after the Iranian Revolution. It has morphed into a many headed hydra and is wreaking havoc throught the Muslim world and Malaysia has not been spared. Our brand of 'Islamic State' as declared by UMNO is racist, corrupt, intolerant and divisive.

Malays must learn to reclaim their history and culture. They have pawned their identity for Arabism with its inherent insecurity, chauvinism and racism. This coupled with the culture of UMNO which is evil beyond measure which uses Islamic rhetoric to the hilt has confused the Malays and made them so easily manipulable.

LET HER PROVE HER SINCERITY BY NOT VOTING FOR THE REGIME UMNO AND ANY OTHER RELIGIOUS POLITICAL PARTY WHO ARE LIKE THE TALIBANS WHO ARE IN MALAYSIA.

would be nice if she starts her own organisation fully independent from the other existing and corrupted organisation

one more thing, If SUE joined the govt service, the first thing to happen is to sent her to the BTN where she will be brainwashed with all the UMNO bullshit, including the clarion call, 'MALAYSIA ADALAH NEGARA ISLAM" where all the others non moslems are second class citizens

And should she continue to hold her existing vies at the BTN, she will be failed and will not get confirmed in the govt post. Either she will have to resign or resit and allows herself to be brainwashed.

I don't mean anything bad, but I don't see what the big deal is. Most of my Malay friends think and speak like her. She is far from being the ONLY intelligent Malay on the planet. The rest keep voting for UMNO.

This is kinda sad la.. I see so many ppl showering praises on her, when she didn't even say anything my little kid sister doesn't already know n my kid sister is in standard 3!

Or have the ppl commenting in here never come across a Malay who is pretty AND can speak fluent English AND has the right ideas! If thats so, I feel so sorry for them!

Tho it might be interesting to note that she was interviewed by the reporter, cos she was the only one who had those ideas! They may have gone thru several other individuals who would probably lop off the head of the next non-muslim they come across if given the go ahead by their religious leader (read UMNO members).
