(The Star) SHAH ALAM: Selangor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali has been summoned to meet Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim to explain his criticism against the Selangor state assembly’s Select Committee for Competency, Accountability and Transparency (Selcat).

All nine district officers, including Bakhtiar Husin (Klang) who had accused Selcat of wrongdoings, have also been asked to attend the meeting at 8.45pm on Monday, after the maghrib prayers.

Khalid said the issue arose due to some “miscommunication” among the seven-member Selcat panel, Dr Hasan and the DOs and it could be solved in a closed-door meeting.

“All parties are allowed to raise their concerns and seek clarifications at the meeting which I will chair.

“We will resolve it in an amicable manner. We hope all parties will work as a team to ensure that the state operates efficiently,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Selangor PAS state liaison committee secretary Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the discussions were expected to be “heated” but he stressed that PAS would remain in Pakatan Rakyat.

“We believe the issue can be resolved in a constructive manner,” he said.

Dr Hasan, who was at his office at the state secretariat building refused to comment on the issue.

“Just let me be for two days, I will make a comment soon,” he said.

Meanwhile, Selcat chairman Teng Chang Khim claimed that the issue was Barisan Nasional’s propaganda against the opposition as the committee was professional in carrying out its investigations.

“We have not hurt the feelings of the civil servants. There could be elements of propaganda in this issue and the rakyat must understand that Selcat follows the Commonwealth procedures,” he said.

Salam all,

Patience everyone. Give peace a chance. Let there be no untowards precedent. Probably at this stage nobody in BA needs to see a psychiatrist or need psychatric treatment yet. But the black sheep needs to cajoled!(?)

Let TS YAB Khalid handle the matter. He's a capable man. And lets await the outcome this Monday.

Happy weekend all.

Basic rule of fairness and justice is not to discuss a third or fourth party without the presence of these third or fourth party. Personal experiences ? people will say anything they want when not challenged.

A wise advice in oldern china is that when you see the king or a high official never do it in secret.

I believe that the chairman of selcat must also be present if justice and fairness are to be served.

ADUN tunggal DAP di Kedah pun pernah buat hal. Dia keluar dari Kerajaan Pakatan Rakyat (selepas beberapa hari masuk semula). Tiada siapa mendesak DAP Pusat mengambl tindakan tatatertib kepadanya.

Di Pulau Pinang, ADUN PKR pun buat hal juga, boikot majlis angkat sumpah sebuah Majlis Perbandaran, tiada siapa mendesak mereka diambil tindakan tatatertib.

Di Selangor, Datuk Hassan buat 'hal', semua penjuru mendesak beliau diambil tindakan tatertib. Berbagai kata nista dihamburkan kepadanya.

Beliau dikecam sebegitu rupa kerana batang tubuhnya bernama 'Hassan Ali' atau kerana beliau hanyalah mewakili sekelompok ADUN minoriti PAS seramai 8 orang?

TS Khalid must not allow him or the state government to be held to hostage by this recalcitrant group.

While it is noble for TS Khalid to offer democracy and freedom of opinion to everyone, the picture is different with these nine DO’s and HA.
It is important for TS Khalid to investigate thoroughly the motives behind this group of insubordinate DO’s and a trouble-maker HA.
What are the DO’s motives in challenging the government of the day? Who is behind their insubordination and audacity?
Hassan Ali is of course another bowl of soup. His actions are disruptive to any team and must absolutely not be tolerated. TS Khalid must be firm and expel this agitator from the state cabinet for his deliberately “red-card” and blatant exploits.
TS Khalid need not lose any sleep as PAS can easily replace HA with a more diligent and honest representative in the state cabinet.
The rakyat demands firm action from PAS and TS Khalid. TS Khalid should also not fear the state government falling, for what is the use of being in power when it is unable to act in the better interest of the rakyat? TS Khalid must not allow him or the state government to be held to hostage by this recalcitrant group.
