Here are five ways to get around the block on Malaysia Today via anonymous proxy server. Bookmark and use in case of difficulty as the authorities seemed to have put blocks in place. These links worked after 18:00MYT Sunday, some worked only intermittently at best before 6pm. You might have better luck, depending on your ISP.

The first line is a “live” short link to each anonymous proxy, the second line is the full URL

I am sure the government bodies are pulling their hair out when you have a clever MT Admin who is capable of circumventing the blocks set up by the BN govt.

They must be calculating their next move over satay and ketupat. They will never be successful in blocking info out from the people. Foreigners like us can always email the article back to the people for dissemination.

Through their actions...even reported in the local news....they are creating curiosity and publicity for Malaysia Today. More traffic trying to gain access, thus the slowness.

The authorities are not very clever, are they?

Why do I have to read MT via proxy? I want to read MT in its original form. Blocking MT is not the right thing to do.
On Friday Sept 18, MT was blocked for sometime.

I am in San Francisco and I had difficulty the last two days, too. Can anyone explain why I had difficulty accessing when the server is not in Malaysia?

Those of us who care, will have to read MT via proxy when the UMNOputras blocked access to it from Ms'ia.
I'm no IT man but I sure appreciate the oft stated phrase that it is impossible to police the Internet.
TQ for the info-I've safe the links to be used if the need arises.

Wah! We will have to put more PDRM/MACC/AG to guard all the proxies, all the computers, all the phone lines, all the wireless, all the..... whatever it takes, the Secrets must be kept secrets, even after being exposed. This time will will stand guard with fixed bayonets. So semua-nya OK!

M-T was hacked. If you checked the error message it came from their squid which is a proxy server.
