Today is the anniversary of Raja Petra Kamarudin’s second detention under the Internal Security Act, for which he spent 53 days under arrest without trial or charge.

This morning, September 10, 2009, the first episode in a series of interviews conducted recently with Malaysian blogger and social activist Raja Petra Kamarudin was released on Facebook and Twitter at 8:59 AM Malaysia time.

The interview explains the circumstances around a statutory declaration (SD) signed by Raja Petra on 18 June 2008 regarding information he had received about the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu.

The video is viewable here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4yE5vv73DA

Subsequent interviews will be released on a weekly basis covering a variety of topics including Raja Petra’s experience in detention, his views on the Federal Constitution, Islam, the Altantuya case, as well as personal reflections on his role as an activist-blogger in Malaysia.

RPK's fate and sufferings are worse than Teoh Beng Hock's. His contributions to the freedom of Malaysia from BeEnd destructive rule must not be forgotten. He must be made a VVIP with full diplomatic immunity in the PR govt.
