Why is it that I, as a Malay, show much disrespect to Najib? Why are there so many Hang Jebats as oppose to Hang Tuahs in this time of ours – ready to do verbal battle with our leaders? Menderhaka they say. Sometimes after I have written my piece I read them and I am appalled at the venom of what I write. While we are Hang Jebats we do what we do because of what Hang Tuah had said  “Takkan Melayu Hilang di Dunia”. If we do not care for our survival as a viable partner to the other races in our country then who will?

We want to tell the Malays and the people of our country that there is an alternative to the excesses of the past fifty years when UMNO were in power and got totally carried away. You not only systematically steal from our national treasuries but also take from other Malays what as taken years to acquire. How else do you explain the use of the EPF and Petronas funds to bail out your failures?

If you ask how can DAP, Keadilan and PAS work together towards a common goal when their fundamental beliefs are so divisive? I say this….how about principled politics?

Politics with ethical and moral sense. A sense of what is right and what is wrong. It is wrong to govern our country as you do now. Money Politics, Corruption, Nepotism, no accountability, no taking of responsibility, putting away of your own citizens for their political beliefs, you every day deeds and actions totally focused on self preservation. It is right for Pakatan Rakyat to want transparency and accountability in the system of Government. Politics without principal as you now practice is without a soul. Empty and void of any decency and righteousness.

Our Nation’s hope for tomorrow lies with the young. One of them, Teoh Beng Hock is no longer with us. It lies with the young within our midst who believes that it is imperative to insist on principled politics if we are to survive as a Nation.

It also lies with the young who even now have no qualms about accepting bribes if they have the power and the opportunity. It also lies with the young who are with Pemuda UMNO - the same Pemuda UMNO headed by KJ – of whom many have said of his victory as Ketua Pemuda “KJ menang. UMNO kalah”.

It lies with Nurrul Izzah Anwar – the same Nurul who won over Sharizat despite Shrizat being a Wanita UMNO who can work and contribute positively to the Nation.

So our Nation hopes lies with the young but while some of them will lead there are many that needs to be led. Our work to make them ready must begin now.

Principled politics ? UMNO/BN cannot even spell the word let alone understand its meaning. As far as they are concerned, it is about winning at all cost - the end justifies the means - something like that, which is spewed by all crooks whenever they are asked to explain their unethical actions !! smilies/grin.gif

Principle, well even if there is expedience coming from UMNO/BN I would graciously accept. The fact is-nothing good comes from them except that they are a constant reminder as to where we all are at the moment in history and why we cannot continue this way. Their evil corrupt and wicked ways have become fair-seeming to them.

Principled politics? It's alien to racist UMNO! That's why they are now embarking on a strong political offensive using the combined threats of law, race and religion to hammer the opposition through the UMNO-controlled MSM and blogs! UMNO has acquired literally 100% of Mahathir's teaching that "to attack is better than to defend" philosophy with the backing of that old bugger challenging them to retake Selangor and other PR states! UMNO has never intended to change for the better! Malaysians have to persevere and deflect the current UMNO political onslaught on their rights to fight for a bettter Malaysia for Malaysians and decisively vote them out during the next elections or earlier!

It is impossible for UMNO to revert to principled politics as the very foundation that UMNO is built on is flawed. It is and will always be based on buying support through money politics. Even UMNO admits this openly.

As a Malay, I have seen the UMNO politics slide down the slope of abuse, corruption and misuse of the Countrie's resources such as the police, the courts and just about every Government agency in town. REMEMBER that UMNO does not solely represent the Malays. It is just one of many political parties that exist. So their implication that any malay that does not support UMNO is a trator is at best moronic and shallow.

UMNO has also openly declared that unjust laws such as the ISA will never be repealed under them. Their intent is clear and that is to continue abusing the act for their benefit and not that of the country.

All the above and more, clearly show that UMNO does not and do not ever intend to practice principled politics. By association, the MIC, MCA and Gerakan too will not be able to do the same.

The Rakyat will have to make the ultimate choice as to who represents them in the House. The choice for me is clear and it will not be the Barisan Nasional lead by UMNO.

I am a Malay and UMNO does not represent me.

Shalom

The problem that you can never see is that the unprincipled politicians come from a society of unprincipled people. Nobody chose them specifically because they were unprincipled. They were chosen simply because they were typical Malaysians

In Malaysia, principles and ethics are always someone else's business. That's why there is a need to teach such topics at school, when they should be learnt by example in the home.

So our Nation hopes lies with the young but while some of them will lead there are many that needs to be led. Our work to make them ready must begin now.

Its nice that someone else has finally recognised that the future of Malaysia lies with its young people. As far as I can determine there is a full blown program in this country to suppress youth until their enthusiasm dries up and they become unimaginative clones like their middle-aged (failed?)peers.

And the truly appalling line in the above quote is the recognition that "there are many that needs to be lead"

That supports what I have always said about this country, as Malaysians you are so busy repressing your fellow men that you dont have the time ( and probably the ability) to think about progress.

Is it significant that even the author refers to his people as "many THAT need to be lead" rather than "many WHO need to be lead" Do you all think of your fellow men as chattels to be manipulated to fulfill your own desires... or do you think of them as exciting innovative individuals who not only care for themselves but care for each other and the nation they call home?

The future belongs to the young and the young must take cognizance of all the ills in our midst.

Go get yourself registered so that you can make a real difference. until and unless you registered your right to vote, nothing is going to change.

Much barrier built by Mahatir have to be dismantled. The administration will have to be de-UMNOised. The civil swervants will need to undergo debriefing. Separation of powers must be made clear and well understood by allm especially the civil servant.

CAT must be fed and allow to grow up. Yes, it is credibility, accountability and transparency.
