What is the use of MCA, Gerakan and MIC Ministers remaining in Cabinet if three of the four major Barisan Nasional component parties in Peninsular Malaysia could be overruled on a Royal Commission of Inquiry into Teoh Beng Hock’s mysterious death at MACC?

Lim Kit Siang

MCA President Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat has finally said that the four MCA Ministers support the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the mysterious death of Teoh Beng Hock, 30, the political secretary to Selangor DAP State Exco and State Assemblyman for Seri Kembangan, Ean Yong Han Hwa who went to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Shah Alam to co-operate in its investigations but end up as a corpse at the MACC Hqrs last Thursday 16th July 2009.

Gerakan President Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon has also finally declared yesterday that Gerakan supports the establishment of a RCI into Teoh’s death.

MIC President, Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said yesterday that MIC Minister for Human Resources Dr. S. Subramaniam will support in Cabinet the proposal to set up a RCI.

So far, the only Minister and Barisan Nasional component party to openly declare opposition to the establishment of a RCI into Teoh’s death is Datuk Peter Chin, Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water from SUPP.

There are also UMNO Ministers who are supportive of a RCI into Teoh’s death, like the Minister for Information, Communication and Culture, Datuk Seri Dr. Rais Yatim who said yesterday that the setting up a RCI to investigate Teoh’s death can remove whatever doubt the people may have because the outcome of investigation by the Commission will carry more weight compared to other investigations.

He said the request to form the RCI should be supported by everyone and that as a member of the Cabinet, he would not oppose the suggestion.

With the three major parties of the Barisan Nasional in Peninsular Malaysia – MCA, Gerakan and MIC – declaring public support for a RCI, together with Ministers from Umno (with only the solitary objection from the SUPP Minister), the question that must be asked is:

They are still in the cabinet because all these are power crazy and have brainwashed their followers and the ignorant folks for years. They claim that they can fight for rights within BN, which is bullshit since they are just yes-men/women. They also claim that if they quit or leave BN, they will lose all ministerial posts and the biggest gainers are UMNO with ready replacements. MCA, you can't continue to mislead the chinese. Makes you look stupid. How about this? No RCI and you all quit?? Got balls to fight as you always claim??

Simple answer. These 3 component parties are just for window-dressing. The next funeral is UMNO, and these 3 shall be there just for the attending service.

these bunch of leaders are just pricks. They were very quiet and waited to see how the rakyat reacted. Now they want to talk. what about B.harian and utusan and Nazri. can you guys say something.

Ok if UMNO say no to RCI, please resign.

anyway RCI can tell the whole truth but whether you guys will follow or not is a different issue. Even RCI so call Royal is at the mercy of UMNO. remember RCI for Lingam and Police...those recommendations were never followed thru. so people, RCI is great but what happens next depends on UCI...UMNO Commision of Inquiry. They UMNO are above our King. This is derhaka.

Daulat TuanKu! UMNO respect RCIs.

Lingam Gate did not produce any action from PDRM or MACC, so are we going to expect very much from another RCI, honestly I am not too optimistic. Nevertheless it better to trust the RCI than to trust those monster from PDRM or MACC.

A Royal Commission without the application of hudud law on those evil AMENO / BN warlords who have grossly abused position and power and blatantly aggrandized wealth and now blatantly abusing the legal institutions to hide behind them, is useless as it will only become academic research and library material. Look at the Royal Commission findings on the Ligamgate scandal that has made our judiciary a pariah and a mockery of the whole wide world (on not what not to do or emulate). If only hudud law as espoused by PAS can be implemented, definately all those big time scumbags, slimeballs and culprits implicated on the Lingam Judge and Judicial findings fixing scandal can be brought to face Allah Almighty's true justice.

YB LKS, what 3 main parties? MCA has less Chinese MPs in Parliament than DAP. MIC has less Indian MPs than PKR or DAP. So abang is in no mood to listen to them. It will make a difference if the fixed deposit parties in Sabah and Sarawak started to ask for a RCI. They, of course, will not as they want to use their current strength to squeeze abang's testicles and make all the money they can. They have already started ravaging the forests in Sabah and no one can stop them.

In whichever direction one looks yet the accusing finger keeps on pointing towards UMNO. So much talk so far and things are still the same. Despite the many talks I think the only solution is to work out a big strategy how to corner and drive UMNO out of power. PR have no choice but to sit together and work out a grand plan that will be effective in achieving the sole aim i.e. to send UMNO to the waste bin. Things are not going to change for the better with UMNO around and everyone knows that, even within UMNO itself. UMNO has become cancerous and it needs to be removed immediately.

Umno give no two hoots to Royal Commission of Inquiry. They can even hold the royal to ransom. Just look at Perak. Before HRH's meeting with Nizar to "establish that he lost the confidence of the house" Najib went to see HRH first. So what good is the RCI? Look at Lingam and Police royal commissions. What happened? Nothing. NFA for Lingam and the 5 accomplices and the watered down complaints dept for police.

I've not heard of a condolence message nor supporting the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry from Tan Sri Bernard Dompok(President of UPKO),Datuk Maximus Ongkili(Deputy Prsident PBS),Tan Sri Joseph Kurup(President PBRS)and Datuk VK.Liew(President LDP)all BN component members from Sabah and Cabinet Ministers/Deputy Ministers.

Perhaps these Sabah Ministers/Deputy Ministers should seriously consider resigning from the cabinet or leaving BN.

In the house got things called utilities like broom, vacuum cleaner, fridge etc that are useful but there are also items for decoration only. These component members are just for that cosmetic purpose to show unity but they are just for show and to facilitate whatever plans the dominant part WILLS.

Their EXCESSES have no limits now other than corruption, looks like murder also OK!!! Babi Negara!!!

"Even the Attorney-General, Tan Sri Gani Patail reacted with lightning speed to the allegation of the underworld links of a Pakatan Rakyat state executive councillor, particularly on the use of his office in the state secretariat building as a meeting room for criminals, declaring within 24 hours of the allegation that “he wants the police to look into the matter immediately”. (“A-G calls for immediate probe into allegations” NST 12 July 2009)."

It is important to point out that is was prominent Pakatan PKR political rivals who alerted Gani Patail to the underworld links of DAP Exco members which resulted in the super fast MACC investigation.

Wee Chee Keong and Azmin Ali have to bear indirect responsibility of the death of Teoh because it was this infamous duo who publicly accused the DAP Exco members of having 'underworld' links.

If there is a Royal Commission of Enquiry, Wee Choo Keong and Azmin Ali should be among the 'Star' witnesses.

RCI?Yes, they probably would establish a Royal Commission of Inquiry BUT (with capital letters), it would probably consists of UMNO or UMNO-related individuals who will eventually find MACC innocent of any wrongdoings and ultimately sweep the 'dirt' under the carpet in no time.
