Kasihan pakcik melihat gelagat mereka. Seorang cikgu, mengajar matapelajaran Sains, sampai tercungap-cungap cuba membuat sebutan Bahasa Malaysia sebaik mungkin.

“Segi tiga sudut menentang segi lurus darjah tak sama.”

Maka kita pelajar sekalian pun tercengang-cengang.

its a direct translation from english to malay is the cause of the problem. It should have been thought/constructed in malay in mind to explain the nature rather than translating it from english. eg: - “Bilah inertia habis dalam angin jatuhkan jasad kepada bawah.”
why not explain this way?

why not explain this way? "graviti menarik epal ke bumi".

as for this “Segi tiga sudut menentang segi lurus darjah tak sama.” i need to see the diagram. Maybe the description above is flawed.

Below is something to ponder.

Samy Velu in his usual malay indian tone reported as saying: "Setelah angkasawan kita 10 hari meninggal dunia, kini dia dikebumi".

So, whose fault is it, us or the language?

Students in China, the Arab Gulf States and India are learning intensive English for science and mathematics as the saw that English will be the "global language". Yet, in Malaysia, the UMNO's Ministry of Education is still obssesed with the "Ketuanan" thing!

anwar unfit to be PM. He should allow a decent guy from sabah or sarawak to lead the nation. This blogger guy has similar opinion as me concerning anwar. And I think there are many other with similar thoughts.

"Setelah angkasawan kita 10 hari meninggal dunia, kini dia selamat dikebumi".

Its our own fault that causes the confusion... not the language. By all means, learn english or/and any other language/s of your choice as a second or more language/s. Nobody is stopping us.

Teaching science and mathematics in mother-tounge will make the young children understand the nature better. That is the foundation of it all, understanding the nature and its phenomena. Best described in mother-tounge.

terima kasih pak cik.

The policy decision was made arbitrary, partly they didn’t think objectively for the good of the country, which meant for the good of everyone. What was seen all this while was meant to score political mileage because they knew the subject could raise the tempreature of the less able thinking people? They are not able to put the massage across, they can’t communicate because they are scared to face the reality of their competency, dia orang takut malu because they have been the boss with power and privileged. They may not even believe what they said.

Competition now taking place between UMNO–BN and Pakatan may be policy decision in time to come would be worse as they are both selfish.

Its painful to tell the truth but so long as these behave the way the were and are, we’re not heading any way but within our own cocoon.

I have something to say about our studying system, we use Roman letters in Bahasa Malaysia and also in English, so student tent to get confuse to defer the spelling, For example(English - Inglish) Both has same sound but deferent in language. In my case, I still get confuse very often in spelling after so many years of learning both Bahasa Malaysia and English. For me Bahasa Malaysia is not a problem but often confuse with English because of the Roman letters that we use for both. Its OK as long working as a government servant but life get tough with private company. Malaysians private company seldom use English as they're communications what more with foreign companies?

There will be no problem to countries like Japan, Taiwan and other developed country, because they never use Roman for they're language. This will make them master in English language very easily without any confuse. So only solution to our studying system is to concentrate in one language system instead of two. I am not saying we should not studying more then one language but we must concentrate on language that have value most. For example Singapore, In Singapore English is they're first language but its a compulsory for every race to study they're own mother languages. From this every identity and language of all race have been preserved.
