By Dr. Rafick

1. It was a shocked to me to read Malaysian Insider a few minutes ago that Teoh Beng Hock, the political secretary of Seri Kembangan assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah, was found dead in at the MACC Headquarters. To me it is a bloody shocking and unacceptable situation. I wrote this piece immediately after the news broke out pub did not publish it as my mind was really disturbed over the event.

2. It was reported that at a press conference, the MACC director of investigations Datuk Mohd Shukri Abdul said Teoh was questioned from 5pm yesterday to 3.45am and was released soon after. Apparently said he was tired and so he rested on a settee in the lobby. He was seen sleeping on the settee at 6am. It was also reported that at about 1.30pm, the MACC Director said, they heard that a body had been found on the 5th floor of the adjacent building and when one of the MACC officers went to investigate, he realized it was one of their witnesses.

3. His death is not good for the country. I read the statement by Dato Shukri over and over again and I find it perplexing. Why would Teoh be sleeping at the Sofa after being released? Shouldn’t he be calling his family members, friends, his fiancé or political colleagues to inform them that he has been released and need a ride home?

4. The death is a bad omen for the country. It is a bad sign internationally. In the mind of the people, the action of the police and MACC has always been slanted. The death of a politician while he is in the compound of MACC raises a lot of questions. No one that I talk to believes that it is an accident. Speculation is rife that it is murder or an accident while being interrogated. The government can say it views the incident seriously and looking at setting up a royal commission.

5. In reality with the current BN government is perceive of muscling the opposition using the country enforcement agencies. The movement of the Malaysian Non BN political parties has always been monitored. I would not be surprised that there is a dedicated task force that is monitoring the movement, actions and decisions made by the PR MPs, ADUN’s and State Exco’s.

The Chief Cock should take responsibilty for the tragic death of Teoh Beng Hock at the hand of the MACC, by stepping down Instead of showing regret for the loss of a life, he said they have nothing to hide!

The reason Badawi set up MACC is to win back the confidence of the public, soon after the formation it has nothing to show but to generate negative sentiments from the public in that they are investigating corrupt cases selectively.

What the public noticed is that they are going for the oppositions' throat with the slightest excuse, like donating a few cows or cars while the million and billion ringgits cases involving you know who are conveniently ignored.

MACC may prove to be the downfall of B.N. if it continues with the selective investigation and trying to hoodwink the public. Najib, you have been forewarned by the citizens!! PLEASE REPENT NOW AND BRING JUSTICE TO TEOH AND HIS FAMILY.

The MACC should realise that the people do NOT trust what the MACC says as past actions have shown that the MACC seems to be very selective in pursuing investigation. There are blatant cases of corruption the people are so aware of but the MACC does not seem to bother about. They keep going after relatively petty amounts.
The MACC is meant to protect the interests of the nation and the people. However they to act only certain people.
The people 's judgement of the MACC to date ? The answer is obviuous.

We had a giant rally prior to GE last time, why not another round of rally should the Govt refused for setting up Royal Commission, reform MACC (again), and police force.. We should continue the pressure to the govt..

MACC should give Better excuses!

Made a mistake and yet so confident that they would be protected by the power to be. Sheer arrogance and I wanna see if MACC can get away with this incidence.

Witness or suspect? Until 3.45am???????
MACC 5 stars hotel??? ada water bed meh? supply with 18 yrs old china gal? ho ho ho

imagine allowing a job applicant or a stranger sleeping in your lobby>>>> would you allow it? Its a BIG NO from me. Not in my office, not in my house. NO way!

Let TBH be the light to a democratic Malaysian Nation! We have to show who's the boss NOW!
