When will Utusan Malaysia stop being a racist newspaper?

When will Utusan Malaysia, which had such a illustrious place in the history of Malaysian journalism, end its descent into the gutter and stop being a racist newspaper of untruths and falsehoods, and honour the journalistic maxim “Comment is free but facts are sacred”?

Utusan Malaysia today carried in its “Sorotan Parlimen” an article entitled “Kit Siang terus ‘panaskan’ Dewan Rakyat”, which among other slants and prejudices, wrote:

when they can make this an apartheid country where UMNO rules and all benefits goes to UMNO leadership and UMNO's immunity is written into the constitution. well maybe...cos i think they will not stop even then. Maybe when they can chase away all the unity loving Malaysians who want the best for the country.

Utusan is the mouthpiece of umno disguised as a newspaper. When PR took over the government issue alternative licenses to independent news organisation. I believe over time when this new news organisation draws away a large part of the utusan readership they will have to start re-examining their paradigm in order to survive.

That would be a good day to look forward to. When this do happen I may even start subscribing to newspaper again.

UTUSAN is devil's mouth piece... so don't be surprise by number of spinster stories that makes up all the space in that paper... But one for sure not many malays are reading that paper ...because of forever spinning stories and all half baked .. i ACKNOWLEDGE they more prefer to read superstitious or sensational gossip (other paper) column rather having utusan in their hands...

Utusan will never stop being a racist toilet roll. The Umno-led government is behind all these write-ups, comments and comics. Why would this government tak any action when they are clearly its cause ?

Only a change in federal government can put a stop to all these crap and flush it down into Indah Water's Zone.

continue boycott reading or buying Utusan Msia is one way.

but it's not enough!

we should also encourage our bosses, our companies and your friends' companies and your friend's advertising agencies and media agencies to stop advertising in that newspapers!

their main source of income was never from the readers, it's from the advertisers.

so hit it where it hurts.

remember when once NST was the top of english paper but the star took over? it was all because the star provided competitive prices to the advertisers and not because the rise of readership.
