Pas Youth Deny Reports About Pas-Umno Cooperation |

(Bernama) -- Pas Youth Wednesday denied reports by several media organisations about cooperation between the movement and Umno Youth.
Pas Youth secretary Kamaruzaman Mohamad in a statement said the reports referred to a handing over of an official invitation letter to Umno Youth to have a discourse on the topic titled "Is it true that Umno's struggle is not against Islam" through the setting up of a secretariat of both movements.
"In that regard, Pas Youth is considering legal action against the media organisations for false reporting on the issue," he said.
He said the secretariat proposed by Umno Youth vice-chief Datuk Razali Ibrahim had already been clarified by Pas Youth chief Nasruddin Hasan Tantawi to being only a technical committee to discuss dates, place, time, membership and discourse format only.
He said the discourse was a continuation of a challenge to debate made by Pas spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Umno going astray in its struggle.
