UMNO-appointed Menteri Besar Zambry Abdul Kadir had said UMNO/Barisan Nasional would continue the people-friendly policies implemented during Pakatan Rakyat ’s 10-month rule .

He had promised continuity of Pakatan Rakyat's people-friendly policies when he was appointed as MB by the Perak Sultan in February 2009 in the midst of the Perak's constitutional crisis caused primarily by the Perak Sultan who controversially sacked the Pakatan Rakyat's constitutionally-appointed MB Nizar Jamaluddin.

However, this turned out to be a BROKEN promise as about nine people-friendly policies have either been scrapped or put on the back-burner.

Perak State Government has done and excellent job over its short 10 months in power.
They Increased state gov income and recorded a budget surplus of RM97mil in 2008, shame on BN.
Freehold land given to poor farmers rather than big UMNO developers, in fact it was reported that YB Nizar donated his personal money to orang asli.
Now whatever people friendly policies are being negated, this is proof that BN talk about putting aside all political differences for the sake of the peopleis poppycock.
In Peraks case, the un-elected stole the state, now I know why, at the rate Perak govt was doing reforms , BN was so scared that given time they would not be able to wrest back Perak.

I would have thought BN by now should be doing everything possible to win back the hearts of the people but they are doing just the opposite. Zambry and his gang are just digging their political graves deeper. There's no chance BN will win the next election mark my words.

UMNo tradition.Their heart were so rotten.Any policies passed by the oppositions were considered stupid and useless.I remembered Kelantanese govt who started 2 days off weekend didnt go down well with UMNo leaders.

Pity the Perakians for getting such useless MB.I mean forced by the court

He was UMNO-appointed MB. He is beholden to the party..not the PERAKIANS.This is in keeping with the 'ethics 'of the party. What people-friendly policies? What promises??
