Lim Kit Siang

With every passing day, public confidence in the credibility, integrity and legitimacy of the Prime Minister has worsened, as illustrated by the two following indicators:

  • In an opinion poll conducted by opinion research firm Merdeka Centre in his second month as Prime Minister from May 6-15 on 1,067 registered voters, Najib could only secure 45% popularity.
  • In poll on the blog of the MCA President, Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, 78% of those polled wanted MCA to get out of Barisan Nasional.

Now Malaysians have even more reasons why they have no confidence, the credibility integrity and legitimacy of Najib as Prime Minister – the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal; galloping crime in the country with Malaysians, tourists and investors losing their fundamental rights to be free from crime and the fear of crime; worsening of the crisis of confidence in independence of the judiciary.

Because there is no need for him to do so!
Also for all the reasons Kit Siang has stated.
The point is he controls all the instruments of the state now.
And until the next general elections, that fact can't be changed.
I suggest it is more important that PR leaders ask how they can work towards winning that elections rather than knocking their heads against a solid wakk!!
It is not too early to start if one is to see the disarray in the PR ranks in recentweeks!

Why has Najib shied away from seeking a confidence motion in the House?

Elementary Matson,
He already has as much confidence and motions as taxpayers' money can buy!
He has also enough motions syit-ted on him to stink up the world's pigsty.
So it is business as usual, rasuah sayang eh!
He is in control, so he is semua-nya OK!

Dollar akbar!

B'cos he don't have confident in himself! How do you expect him to have confidence in his BN members? Also I fully agree with educationist don't knock your head on a brick wall. Try to strengthen your PKR and PAS partners for next general elections. It is easy now to attract members from Gerakan, MIC and PPP as they are all having internal troubles.

First of all, why didn't any MP [especially LKS]move for a vote of no confidence in Parliament?
Secondly this shows that reform is needed in the way we elect our PM and DPM. Being elected by the ruling party and not directly by the people is unacceptable. And thirdly I think to even qualify to be a candidate, that person need to pass certain standards of ethics and morality.

Instead we have another stupid idiot candidate whom knew nothing takes over and surely to come up with another foolish slogan again.... see what i mean...look back at each new PM and exam their slogan!

It's really incredible and boggles the mind that the BN politicians openly and unashamedly practiced corruption and abused their powers without a care in the world because they know nothing will happen to them. Same goes for the underworld gangsters and criminals who openly run their illegal business, sometimes right under the noses of the various authorities. As for the law enforcement agencies doing their jobs and fighting crime/corruption etc, the rakyat is puzzled why the above 2 are still running their business as usual. So, we asked, is there a secret pact between these three parties? It's a no-brainer, folks. smilies/grin.gif

What is the point of this exercise? Does YB Lim believe that any non-UMNO BN MP will dare to vote against the motion if one is sought? They are all spineless and gutless! And I thhink we do have a few words to say against the Pakatan MPs. You missed a golden opportunity to defeat a government bill for the first time. It is unforgiveable. I sure that all had known that bill was going to be put to a vote at that sitting.

Mr Lim, in due respect forget about the idea. It is a complete waste of time to do that. It is because the MP in BN voted not based on what their constituencies but what their boss want them to do. So basically it is a no brainer.

In spite of that, it is not that I do not agree with you that Najib did not win the right to be Prime Minister. Mr Lim focus on building DAP and Pakatan for the next general election. Make sure you do not have anymore disgrace Miss Hee in your lineup or even as DAP's members. The same apply to PKR. The party have too many UMNO type of members in there. These people have to change or get rid of them. Let UMNO recruit them. As for PAS, you have to get rid of pushing your religion as primary focus in your politic.

Work together, be sincere and honest and be ready to govern the country after next general election.

Why has Najib shied away from seeking a confidence motion in the House?

The main reason why Najib avoid the above was he is SCARED of experiencing Heart Attack while waiting for the result.

B'cos he knows he is not a good PM and also with a lot of baggage to boot. If he lose the vote of confidence that means no more PMship for him. He may not be clever but he's not thhat stupid.
