Malaysia is number one in the world again for the highest number of deaths in police custody PDF Print

I am not sure if there exists any record in the world for death in police custody for a person who is considered innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt except of course if it happens and takes place in a 3rd world nation that has no regard for human liberty.

By R. Shan (Human Being)

In America, Orleans Parish jail holds the record and probably the world record for deaths in jail being 52 deaths from 2000- 2008. Mind you, these are convicted and sentenced prisoners.

America, who currently holds the record for the most imprisoned citizens in the world does not record any death while awaiting a charge or offence while in custody of the police in the lock up because there is none.

In Malaysia, all this is possible in our democratic country, because according to Suaram there were 85 deaths in police custody between 2003 and 2007 (of course minus our own Kugan, the Kedah six and the latest addition of A.Gnanapragasam’s in 2009). I know I am missing 2008 - must a good omen year for the Malaysian Indian.

Oops!!! Too much talk about a Malaysian Indian and I'll be labelled another racist bugger.

There is no doubt and is a well-recognized fact that Malaysian Indians are marginalized and discriminated. But why is this so? Do you ever wonder that this is the same society that paved for the development of the nation through civil service, plantation ie rubber and palm oil, railworks, roadworks for the growth of the nation at least until the 80’s. Today, they are only recognized for vice elements, that it just happens to be an Indian who dies in police custody and nobody actually cares because he must have committed a crime anyway.

Who created the vice elements? Is it the system, or us? Let’s all do our part for what Malaysia can really achieve for Malaysians - whether it be for a Malay, Chinese, Indian or a lain-lain. We can only fight this battle if we are united above everything else if humanity is what we seek. It can be an emotional roller coaster and a materially costly affair, but what the hell; we only live once, we should live it well. Are you ready?

In the current capitalistic world almost everything needs money. Even to commit crime and make it big in the criminal world ..you need money. Just read the declaration by Ah Han of his brotel business in Johore.

So why certain group of them dont get to meet in Perdana V6 but instead get fatal infection and die....

Its all because they cant afford to pay the price to be a good criminal.

Aha! The Malaysia Boleh syndrome strikes again. It is really a crying shame and a great embarrassment that these unfortunate deaths occur in our police lockups. Why only Indians happen to suddenly drop dead in police custody? Some kind of super anti-indian bug going around in the police lockups that infects only Indians? Smelly fishy if you ask me. Dey, Samy Vellu you prick! Why so quiet? Lost your toupee? This death in custody thing has gone too far. It is time and high time that the police are held accountable for all the deaths that have occured in their lock ups. Enough is enough. Where is the IPCMC? Is Taxi Nazri still drafting it at snaill's pace? The latest death in police custody that of Gnanapragasam cannot be take lightly anymore. The medical report may try to say otherwise but the deceased did complain to the magistrate about the abuse he was undergoing, and what did the Magistrate do? NOTHING! This also brings into light the apathy of the courts. They behave like police courts. The Magistrate should also be held accountable. Kugan's death or shall I say murder in the police lock up too has not been solved till to date but when one sai-fool says he was buggered the police moved at lightning speed to initiate investigations and charge the accused in court. Somehow the police, courts and the prosecutors value one person's ass-hole more than the loss of innocent lives. What an ass PDRM is.

1 Malaysia ada makna. Got #1 in many things, you know-lah. PM bunuh pompuan, PM main kayu yiga, siteri PM main puaka, ex-PM tak boleh senyap, banyak kepuasan lagi. Polis bunuh banduan, you say, they got it. 1 Malaysia, destinasi #1 untuk nafsu anda.

Very true, but what you didn't mention is that Kugan is the "wrong skin colour and of the wrong faith", where pissing de rakyat malaysia is concerned. We'll have to endure this kind of treatment until after GE13. What a crock!

After seeing all the videos about how our police do the interrogation to the suspect with so much torture and annihilation......I am beginning to wonder that .......Is it possible that all the death that ever happened in the Police Cell could be avoided......should they (The Police) use different method to interrogate the suspect......Imagine that almost all the suspect is not yet proven guilty by the court....and yet even if they are guilty......that doesn’t meant that all of them (the dead suspects) to be put to death by hanging by the rope......At least not all of them (the dead suspects)......But let me put it this way.....If the Police Department are so efficient then why are they scared to arrest or pick the real bad hats and the nastiest of them all at where they always hang or do their business.....like nightclub, karaoke, massage parlours and so on......Even though my cousins, my brother in-laws....are policemen and police women......(once, I even have attended the police training myself while working as an enforcement officer)....but my conscience and my religions prohibit me to ever try to torture or hurting other people who is not been found guilty by the court (civil or syariah).....I even manage to have the army training for a short while (I know how to use various guns, baton, shield etc)but for whatever reason or from any directives (like using C4 to the poor M*******n lady) I won’t do it.......I repeat.......I won’t do it.......unless the court judge it that way.......So......What makes Them (the police) do like what we have seen in the video to the most of the suspects they manage......(I say ‘manage’ because they can’t catch the big brother or the boss whose has lots and lots of money and higher authority to escape the arrest)........to catch or able to catch from time to time........Who is responsible for their doing???..........IGP......or ......KDN.......or????

We are a disgraceful nation of pariahs
Worst in human trafficking
Worst in number of prison deaths
and I don't know what else?
Corruption?
Most number of sham, kangaroo court decisions
Most number of sodomy cases?
Royal sadistic abuses? kidnapping, Pedophilia?
Abuse of human rights and contempt of basic law
Most insecure place to live in the world
A PM and his wife who's involvement in a brutal murder has yet to be properly adjudicated.
The list grows...

There are not many countries in the world where the police can get away with the nonsense they do in Bodohland, without there being a Royal Commission or sometype of investigation, followed by resignations or convictions. But here due to their symbiotic relationship with corrupt UMNO politicians, no problem. Thats why the VIP scum walk around with their noses in the sky ... they know they are above the law.
