I am sure many remember on how former Minister of Information and the Internal Minister made negative remarks about bloggers prior to the recent General Election.

I believe one of them has said that Bloggers are insignificant. The 12th GE results, actually proves how potent bloggers can be and the impact they have on BN.

2. Mahathir statement today attracted my attention when he said that “INTERNET IS USEFUL FOR REVEALING THE TRUTH, SAYS DR. M” and at the same time PBS president Joseph Kurup said , “KURUP SLAMS BLOGGERS WHO SOW ANTI-GOVERNMENT SENTIMENTS”. This is coming from two prominent people who had diverging views about the internet. Personally, I have said many times before that the Internet is a potent tool for the people to use and provide the necessary check and balance within the system.

3. The internet is no different from the newspaper. Writing a blog is no different from writing on a piece of paper or writing in a personal diary. The difference lies in the medium and the target audience. I bought a book for my daughter recently and she said, “Papa you should have save some money by not buying the book as you can read it free on the Internet”
