That one disputed Speaker could call in the police to assist the Sergeant-at-arms to remove the other Speaker who was indeed removed forcibly did not speak well of the calibre of these State representatives.

On March 4, I appealed to His Royal Highness the Sultan of Perak to dissolve the State Legislative Assembly to avoid the crisis there leading to anarchy. Indeed what happened in the State Legislative Assembly yesterday was anarchy. I have never seen or heard of such chaos in any legislature in the world. That such commotion could occur in a State where the Ruler was once the Lord President of the Supreme Court is beyond belief. As I said previously He could have averted all these if He had dissolved the Legislative Assembly on Feb 5, and left it to the Rakyat to elect a new government in accordance with the fundamentals of democracy. Rulers must not only be above politics but must be seen to be so.

Lawyers will continue debating the validity of appointments and removals of the Mentri Besar and the Speaker and the crude manner in which V Sivakumar was removed. They will continue to debate on the validity of motions adopted yesterday and at the previous meeting under the tree. Each will have an interpretation of the applicable provisions of the constitution and bye laws. As I said on March 4, this is not the time to look into the technicalities and strict interpretation of the law, constitution and bye laws.

That one disputed Speaker could call in the police to assist the Sergeant-at-arms to remove the other Speaker who was indeed removed forcibly did not speak well of the calibre of these State representatives. Procedural fairness was thrown overboard in the Assembly yesterday. The Perak Regent Raja Nazrin Shah's presence there and His delivery of the Royal Address may not be seen as the Ruler not being above politics.

What is most disconcerting is all these happened when there was pending before the High Court an application to determine who is the rightful Mentri Besar! Why the unholy haste to summon the Legislative Assembly? The State Consitution does not expressly provide that if the Assembly is not convened within six months since the last session the Assembly is automatically dissolved. What happens if on Monday the High Court declares that the rightful Mentri Besar is Mohd Nizar?  On the other hand if the Court finds that Zambry's appointment was valid the public perception would be that the events of yesterday pre-empted the decision of the Court. The independence and impartiality of the Court would be called into question.

The ugly events of yesterday clearly show that there can never be an orderly and stable government in Perak unless the Legislative Assembly is dissolved and fresh elections held. I therefore urge Sultan Azlan Shah to exercise his discretionary power under Article 36(2) of the State Constitution and dissolve the Legislative Assembly. More than anybody else He should know better the finer principles of democracy and its values for a State under a just rule of law.

Siva had not committed any criminal offense in the Assembly. So under what bloody authority the police forcefully entered the august house to physically removed the Speaker/assemblyman?

This must be the work of Shafee Abdullah, the mamak lawyer.

Anything happened in the Assembly at its sitting is none of police bloody business, so long as it’s not criminal in nature. Here, the police have committee a criminal offence and someone should be charged.

Does this mean that any any ruler can sack a MB without going through the motion in the State Assembly for a vote of no confidence? Then all they need to do is to have the police standing by to carry out their evil act. After that, just release some ISA detainees to make the BN look so faid and kindhearted. Only trouble is people don't forget! They go to Penanti now and they are dead .

Who pays salary to those in the high court? Who control the promotion opportunities to those in the high court? All of us already knew who will be the rightful Mentri Besar of Perak come this Monday!

Thats why there is so much hatred and dislike for the BN Gomen.

I blame this totally to PM Najib because of his action.

1) It is fine that he can woo away some opposition members to his party as it is legally possible.

2) After that, he should ask for a sitting to vote no confidence to oust Nizar before rushing to do all nonsense.

3) He should have use police force and their time all these while to block this block that which is not legal.

4) This again had shown how he willing to ban the rule of law for his personal interest.

5) How can we have such a PM who don't obey and respect the law?

We will vote you out as your action was wrong despite intention is good for your party.

for more than 28 years or more, our PM is always above the rule of law and show no respect or be accountable for their wrongdoings.

this has to stop now.

Looking at the recent court case judgements/decisions, the judges are merely giving UMNO the judgements they required to enhance their unholy grab for power in Perak.

How else would anyone explain the illogical and stupid judgements that had been given regarding these recent events?

My bet is that the Court will once again finds in favour of UMNO's choice of Menteri Besar for Perak and try to give legitimacy to UMNO's MB because BN had gone too far into the farce to be able to make an about turn.

The people will not be so easily fooled because so far, the judicial system had proven to be not independent, not above politics nor above intimidations by those who wields power because if they dare to decide otherwise, they will find themselves being transferred to lesser prestigeous positions or even cold storaged or put out to pasture.

Don't believe? .....just wait and see!
