Utusan Malaysia is very mischievous and we should not allow them to get away with this. We should go out and buy some copies of Utusan Malaysia and burn them. Can we organise a ‘Burn Utusan Malaysia Day’? Then we should ask all the newspaper vendors and shops to boycott Utusan Malaysia.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Read the following piece published in Utusan Malaysia yesterday (http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/info.asp?y=2009&dt=0415&pub=Utusan_Malaysia&sec=Muka_Hadapan&pg=mh_01.htm). If this is not considered seditious then I really don’t know what is. Opposition supporters, me included, have been made to face the court on sedition charges for lesser than what Utusan Malaysia wrote below.

The article starts by asking the Malays to rise up and unite in facing the ‘extreme demands’ of the ‘other races’. ‘They’ must be aware and remorseful about the current political situation that is witnessing all sorts of demands by the non-Malays that can result in Malay political power being jeopardised. Malays are asked to not bow to these extreme demands but on the other hand must rise up and unite to defend their rights and interests.

The article goes on to say that there are enough ‘Malay’ seats in Parliament for the Malays to form the government with just Malay seats. In other words, the Malays do not need the non-Malays to form the government. Therefore, the government must fulfil whatever demands of the Malays because the Malays are the majority and there should be no compromise with the non-Malays.

Umno will become strong if it looks after the interest of the Malays. So Ummo needs to focus on the Malays and not fear the non-Malays, as the non-Malays will automatically support Barisan Nasional if Umno is strong like in the past.

And the article goes on to say that the government must only worry about the Malays and not be too concerned about the non-Malays and that Umno must do whatever is necessary in the interest of the Malays.

That is not what I am saying. That is what Utusan Malaysia said. And Utusan Malaysia is owned by the political party in power and speaks on behalf of the political party in power. And what Utusan Malaysia is saying is a repetition of what Ali Rustam said at the PPP Melaka convention in 2007 -- that the Malays have ruled this country for 50 years without the help and support of the non-Malays and can continue doing so for another 50 years.

Utusan Malaysia is talking crap. In the 2008 general election, Barisan Nasional garnered 4,082,411 or 50.27% of the popular votes to win 140 seats in Parliament. That is slightly over half the eight million votes cast. With the loss of Kuala Terengganu in the recent by-election, it is now down to 139 seats.

Three million Malaysians who are registered voters did not bother to vote and another four to five million did not register as voters. That means, while eight million Malaysians voted, another seven to eight million did not. And that also means Barisan Nasional formed the government with votes from just 25% of the eligible voters or votes from 15% of the entire Malaysian population.

That is not really so great is it? How does Utusan Malaysia figure out that Umno or Barisan Nasional commands the support of the majority of Malaysians, in particular Malay Malaysians?

Umno won only 79 out of 222 parliament seats in the 2008 general election. That includes Kuala Terengganu, which they have now lost, and 13 more seats in Sabah. That means Umno has only 65 parliament seats in Peninsular Malaysia. That is less than 30% of the seats, not really enough to form a government without the non-Malay seats.

Maybe Utusan Malaysia was looking at the 20 ‘Malay’ seats from PKR and the 23 (now 24 with Kuala Terengganu) from PAS. If the 44 ‘Malay’ seats from Pakatan Rakyat were merged with Umno’s 78 (assuming the 13 seats in Sabah remain with Umno), the Malays would now control 122 seats in parliament, a majority of only 11 seats considering 50% of 222 is 111. Nevertheless, it will still just be a simple majority and worse than what Barisan Nasional has now, 139 seats.

How does Utusan Malaysia figure that the Malays can run this country with just Malay seats? They can form a federal government no doubt but it will be a government with a simple majority and with lesser seats that what it has now. Anyway, this is a purely academic discussion because, in the first place, the 44 Pakatan Rakyat ‘Malay’ seats will not swing to Umno -- expect for maybe two and we know whom those two are.

In the 2008 general election, Umno garnered only 2,381,725 or 29% of the votes. But not all these votes came from Malays. Umno actually won these seats because many non-Malays voted for it. If based just on Malay votes, Umno would have been demolished just like the other component members of Barisan Nasional. The next time around, Umno is not going to get these non-Malay votes as the four by-elections since 8 March 2008 have proven (unless the Chinese, Indians and ‘others’ are still bodoh macam lembu).

PKR, on the other hand, garnered 1,509,080 or 19% of the votes while PAS garnered 1,140,676 or 14%. This means, while Umno won 79 seats and PKR-PAS a total of only 54 seats on 8 March 2008, PKR and PAS combined garnered more than 2.6 million or 33% of the popular votes. That is more than what Umno got.

Figures don’t lie. And the figures show that Umno did not really do as great as they pretend they did. And there would be no way Umno can form the government with just ‘Malay’ seats even if PKR and PAS agreed to merge with them because UMNO, PKR and PAS all won their seats with non-Malay votes as well and not purely on Malay votes. And, in the first place, why should PKR and PAS want to merge with Umno when Umno’s ideology is Malay Supremacy or Ketuanan Melayu and PKR and PAS are both opposed to this?

And that, fellow Malaysians, is the real issue. Umno knows what we know. They are not stupid. In fact, they have plenty of money and can afford to buy the best brains to work for them. And they have been told that their days are numbered unless they can get the Malays to abandon the opposition cause and come and ‘unite’ under Umno.

Yes, that’s right. Umno wants the Malays to unite. But it must be to unite under Umno. If the Malays unite under the opposition -- or the Malays unite with the Chinese, Indians and ‘others’ -- then that is not considered uniting. That is considered berpecah.

And if any shop continues to sell Utusan Malaysia then we should boycott that shop. And those shops must be told that we are boycotting them and why we are boycotting them so that they know and will stop selling Utusan Malaysia if they want us to end the boycott of their shops.

Malays should start this campaign. This will be a message to Utusan Malaysia and Umno that Malays too do not subscribe to racism and dangerous rabble rousing with racial overtones. Malays must demonstrate to their non-Malay brothers and sisters that the Utusan Malaysia and Umno agenda is not the agenda of the majority of the Malays.

Yes, I know, this article is going to now get me into trouble, again, and the police will soon be raiding my house to confiscate my computer, and I will be called in for interrogation and charged in court, yet again, for sedition. That is my problem. In the meantime, can we show our displeasure at the attempt to make Malays and non-Malays fight by making a bonfire out of Utusan Malaysia?

Bangkitlah Melayu
Utusan Malaysia

“Biar wujud situasi menang-menang.

First deploy your army and station them strategically. Then instigate a riot. This UTUSAN MELAYU had started the 1st step.

If we go to the streets, we fall into their trap.

If we let this go unpunished, we will see more rubbish being churned out. Then it will be the UMNO Malays coming out in the street.

This UTUSAN article must not go unpunished. PR must represent us to shut down this newspaper & put the editor and writers to jail. Only then, the others will think twice before such incident happen again.

Opposition parties that the Rakyat elected must braced themselves together even stronger and more united for Rakyat Malaysia in every states they now governed.

Collective complaints and more police reports should be lodged against Ibrahim Ali and Utusan Malaysia for such irresponsible acts of racism, (the divide and rule) which is seditious, and pressure them for lawful action to be taken for these zealots.

Now Moo-He-Damned, are umno grateful? now if this is not seditious, then what is?

Ini hanya membuktikan betapa Ameno tidak lagi mendapat sokongan orang Melayu dan terpaksa menggunakan taktik murahan ini.

I remember seeing a PR banner on boycotting this paper but it does not look like it was sustained. PR should also lodge a polis report to charge Utusan Malaysia. Maybe Haris and Zorro will be willing to post the pics as well.

UMNO can't even use development as a way to get votes now, because it is quite obvious as the younger generations get better education and access to the internet, the more they do not want to vote for a party that reduces our productivity and shames our country's image in the eyes of the world.

So how now UMNO, will you stop letting young Malays get better access to the internet and education since that seems to be speeding up your demise?

Utusan is not mischevious. Utusan is desparate. Najis is desparate.

Najis has no freaking idea how to solve Malaysia's woes. Crooked bridge is the solution? Ha, ha. No idea. Today many Malaysian businessmen are out of Malaysia looking for contracts, employing Vietnamese, Chinese, Indonesians.

Malays and Islam are not the ones feeding Malaysians.

The agenda has already been put in place and action started. Muhydin said chinese are ungrateful. Nazri and Zahid too blamed the chinese for the loss and said Nizar is DAP and chinese puppet. Utusan cries for Malay unity and rise to challenge the non-malays. These are all seditious acts that are systematically played to create unrest. We must be careful not to fall into their trap. the monkeys up there have everything to gain by calling for martial law.

It'll will only help to advertise that paper and help it increase its sale! I would rather send the money saved to help RPK in his fight against corruption, oppression and injustice. I will also try to work harder to expose to more people the undesirable agenda of the racialist party and keep the fire burning to the next GE, or any by-election. It's more effective to kick them out through the ballot boxes.

The biggest shock for UMNO in 2008/9 must be that non-Malays are voting PAS !

If more than 75% of non-Malays vote PAS/PKR Malay candidates in every constituency, there is no way BN can run the country at the federal level come 2013.

Good bye UMNO.

Honestly, I don't even want to spend that few ringgits patronising them. I would get it from some old paper dealers and get them burnt.

I have read that article too. I just shrugged off this kind of syok sendiri/kuih bangkit war calls. I have already get numb over this kind of cat calls. Good that you highlight it again, RPK.

I make it clear that if they think they call control the nation with their votes, then don't call this country a democratic country. Democracy has no colour as far as race, religion and opinion is concerned. We don't need to fake democracy while we are still living in caves and doing shifting cultivation.

The world is going flat, if they think they can give every citizen a good living by controlling everything, so be it. There are other booming world economies hungry to look for well qualified professionals to propel their economic standing. Hopefully, their control over everything will bear fruit. My blessing to this "beguiled" nation.

If the truth be told, in the worst case scenario, the malays have more to fear than the non malays in the longer term.

It is not meant as a warning, but in every aspect of life, it works both ways. Debt have to be paid. The smart are aware of the silliness of the call by people like Ibrahim Ali and Utusan.

Perhaps it will happen in the next general election and perhaps it is not such a bad thing afterall, instead of continuous argument about race, let it be settled once and for all.

Non malays will hv to make a once in a lifetime decision to stay or leave the country. The old will evetually die off and the young will find a new home away from Malaysia.

In Jibby's (or is it Rosy & Mahathir's) "1Malaysia", where he takes care of himself, everyone else should rally around him.
Altantuya's ghost is most welcome - thank you.

The fact has been, is and will be (make no mistake about that) that -
It is actually a confession that there are indeed many Malaysias.
One each for "orang kuat" Melayu Umno,
the royalty/aristocrats, non-Umno Melayu,
then for the Balas, Lingams, Vincent Tans, Eric Chias, Tajudins, Halim Saads, Nasimudins, and "anak orang kuats",
then we have one for the "bumiputra",
then the "saudara baru" and the "lain-lains".....
then for the "kafirs" who are further subdivided depending on the color of their skin, religion, political affiliation, social standing and bank balance.
The only difference is, in this "pyramid scheme" of things, this idea actually is meant to articulate the need for the many Malaysias, which in turn will fight for the one Malaysia as defined by Umno.
It is actually meant to perpetuate the status quo. That's all.

On the hind side UMNO would still want to control the component parties like before. So read the Utusan as how you would want to read what UMNO is saying.
I hope RPK can give us a statistic of the reach of conventional media (like the newspaper, free to air TV channels) vs the alternative like blog, paid TV etc. If I am not wrong it should be 80% to newspaper media and free to air versus 20% on the net and paid TV. I think Utusan is already having financial problems, so they are dying on their own. Please don't delay their demise by buying some more papers even to burn. Just boycott them.

It is very clear to everyone :
Even though the power-crazy want to consolidate their power by using racial distinction, the fact remains the Malays are divided because of differing ideologies.

One group is good. One is bad.
One is just. One is corrupt.

The bad guys always try to sabotage the good ones, so how can the good ones be tricked to join them? In fact the good ones are ashamed of many evil acts of the bad ones.

The non malays they just join whoever treat them fairly, that's all.

I am among a few malays who had close my mind totally to any UMNo suggestions.YOU see they were never sincere with their suggestions. They were nothing but snakes with forked tongues..Two malay proverbs describe them as:-

Telunjuk lurus,kelingking berkait

Gunting dalam lipatan..

WHAT IS PERJUANGAN UMNO ANYWAY???

One Malaysia... meaning only one race reign supreme... the UMNO Malays descendants of Induns and Mamaks... only them can be PM and governemnt so they can SAPU all the projects and fattened themselves from the sweat of the rest of the races, all non malauUMNO becomes the slaves and workers paying taxes to feed these previleged race.

2. they use religion to make themselves supreme by monopolising ALLAH for themselves for sentimental votes...

3. to pass on powers to their sons and daughters as in a DYNASTY

Najib advocate One Malaysia.

Utusan Malaysia advocate the reverse.

SO it is Bajib versus Chief Editor Utusan Malaysia.

Well, one way is for you to use ISA on Chief Editor and the reporter. But that would be unfair as we Malaysians are against using of ISA and therefore we should not even dealing with such racists. So the government should act against the Chief Editor and the Paper. Suspend the paper and sack the Chief Editor. If you do not then you come and tell us you are walking the talk

Utusan is obviously losing its head. It is now totally discredited. By rallying uneducated, unthinking, emotional Malays the like of a few UMNO ultras to amok, Utusan has turned into a paper for the terrorists.

The writers and the editors of the newspaper are fanning extreme racial hatred in the hope of causing racial riots using parangs and kris and whatever weapons to destroy public peace and order.

Utusan's argument is that when these ultra Malays are angry, furious and feel threatened, no one deserves to live in peace in Malaysia. The end result is to quicken the flight of capital and the outflow of top brains. Foreigners will think that Malaysia is a lawless country with imminent outbreak of racial riots. So much for helping the economy to recover.

Pet,

Another great & TIMELY article you have penned....Least we ALL Forget!!!

With the “Haprak” UMNO/BN Leaders “Bankrupt of Intelligent, Legal, Constitutional, Political, etc SOLUTIONS”....

They will always be in Denial & therefore will resort to “Alternative Tactics” which can only be found in their Gutter Politics & Law of the Jungle “Holy Book”!

Well, the dreaded "Ops Lallang 2" will definitely come in strong in due course as they get more "Desperate"....

Party promotions based on “patronisation, money politics, etc” without “Meritocracy and Proven Track Records” leads to “Leaders” that UMNO is inheriting - “Elite, Ketuanan UMNO BEGGARS”....

Through “Devine” intervention, UMNO, its Leaders & their Mercenaries are now “Outdoing & Destroying” each other with their “Power, Greed & Henious Crimes”.

Remember....One must always be MAGNANIMOUS in VICTORY....

Also TWO WRONGS DO NOT MAKE ONE RIGHT....

Every new day will be another “New Revelation” to reveal another “Truth” in its Self Destruct motion towards its “Demise”.

Just give them enough rope to “Hang” themselves at every turn in their “Final” chapter.

Hello, apa macam mahu jadi “Pemimpin” cawangan dan negara kalau ta’mau dengar, tengok & belajar....

Asik2 mau pukul semua Anak Bangsa Malaysia, Melayu, Cina, India & SENDIRI PUNYA PARTY MEMBER pun mau cari Gaduh (MB Ahmad Said!)!!!!

Pemimpin Ketuanan Muslim Hadhari UMNO dari atas sampai bawah semua GOBLOK!

Everyone of them UMNO Leaders are “Squeezing” each other by the “Orbs/Jugulars”.

After what Agong had done for Incoming PM & DPM last week....

Now the “Anointed Adviser” have them both in his “Trap” with one son as Dy Minister of MITI & another Businessman son soon will be appointed as a “Senator” in due course (Semua APs bisa Di-ator!)....

He now has to complete his “Dream Team” with “Idris Jusoh” & his 40 thieves....

Creating another State Constitutional Crisis in Trengganu, to continue the Oil Royalty plunder Kau, Kau Pt 2!

Looks like it will spread to Kedah & Perlis also....

Next we have the revisit of the JB/Singapore Crooked Bridge issue bubbling up when this nation does not need & can ill afford to build it at this point in time....

The next will be the "Slotting In" of our ex FM Daim to complete our "Adviser's Dream Tag Team Twin"....

ALL together with his 2 sons he is now the “Taiko Adviser” to continue from where he left the last time....

Fat Mama’s 1st reprimand to Najib....

Bodoh....remove MB Mohd Nizar but forgot to remove Speaker Sivakumar!

Now 2nd reprimand....

Goblok....Listen to Mahyuddin to invite Mahathir to rejoin UMNO!

Now....even Mama cannot help you, Stupido!

There will definitely be “Fireworks”, so let us sit back & watch the Greatest show in Bolehland....

You go figure out....

Remember “What goes round, will come round to these Desperate UMNO Ketetuanan Beggars” - Past, Present & Future.

The “Opressors” will “FAIL” & God Almighty will ensure “Justice” will be done.

Do keep up your "Prayers" to God Almighty in your own way for "Sanity, Human Rights, Justice, Freedom, Equality & Peace to "Prevail" over "EVIL"

Devine Intervention works Wonders.

No need bonfire, to have a bonfire means we have to buy the papers first, but we don't want to give them the luxury of our hard earned money.
Boycott buying, and then boycott any advertising in it. All private corporations, small companies, big companies, govt agencies in the PR govt, don't give them any advertising, that'll hurt Utusan where it counts, their hip pockets.

They sound stupid, isn't it? They will never make it. Sabah and Sarawak are not all Malays. They are only apporximately 30%. If they don't stop this kind of talk both Sabah & Sarawak will become ripe and lucrative for the PR at the 13th GE. Good Najib why not introduce another BM Newspaper to play up all such racial issues so that you will beat AAB and become the PM who had reigned the shortest.

Let Utusan stir the race issue, MCA, Gerakan come out
and bash Utusan, then UMNO shouted back, then finally
Najib come out the say 'semua diam diam la'

and he become the hero that save the world at the end
of the day.

Same script, different actors only~ why bother?

Don't burn the newspaper. You'll have to buy them before you can burn them. That's will help them boosting their sales and they'll turn around and say that the Rakyat is supporting what they say. Instead, don't buy the UM and let them burn the newspapers themselves.

another not related article of mine..relating to my last sunday outburst..on married men.

i said what i said because, i HAVE NOT comment anything bad/negative on these married women at all. Gua tak ada cakap apa yang tak baik when comes to these married women..about their husbands, their children or even how they run their household. why?? because it is none of my bloody business you know.

what hurt me most was how these selected married women judged me like i don't deserve to be loved by a man. only them deserved it. who are they to judge me?? over and over keep saying discouraging remarks to me. i have my mother and my father still around..belum lagi mampus tau. i have not disturb you or say anything bad or negative about you, your husband, your children etc..why must you say such things to me?? ya, because you did the greatest favour to the men..give them children make status mu terangkat lah. my value and worth has to be endorsed and validated by men. if that the case, you men carry these responsibilities of valuing and validating women. then, if anything goes wrong always the men get the blame.

Happy Mothers Day.

As long as UMNO allows the BTN and Utusan Malaysia to run wild with their racist, apartheid, and ketuanan hype, let's not believe any of the wild lies, including those of the PM's 1Malaysia, or any unity talks. So, Ah Khoon(Koh Tsu Khoon), you are given charge of a meaningless ministry. If I were you, I'd quit, or refuse to take up that post. But you love the limelight and being a minister too much. After all, you are UMNO's favourite lackey.

I would believe in Najib's 1Malaysia if he immediately suspends Utusan Malaysia. But it will never happen.

And as for calls to boycott the paper, the non-Malays don't buy the paper anyway. It's only the Malays who support it.

50 years they have been ruling, the Malays and non-malays have supported Barisan Najis

What have we got?

Is the Malay better off? Only the selected few

Is the non-Malay better off? only the selected few

Just ask yourself this question.

For the $500 million submarine commission deal. Who should get the $500 million?

1 Barisan Najis president get $500 million or 10,000 family.

Let say we give 8000 of them Malay and 2000 non-malay family. Each family get $50,000

Which one is better? If you think Barisan Najis is fighting for Malay rights then why is the $500 million not given to 8000 Malay families to send one kid to university? or give 8000 Malay families $50,000 each? Can buy car, can put deposit for house??

They want to con all of us to vote for them so that they can continue to swindle the rakyat money.

We have to make sure we tell everyone to compare.

50 years, $500 million submarine deal, billions in toll deal, how many rakyat actually get those billions??? why should rural village be happy to just receive few hundred ringgit when these barisan najis get hundreds of millions ringgit each??
