Dr. Mahathir renewed criticism against PM ‘Flip-Flop’ PDF Print
Wednesday, 30 January 2008 10:53

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad said he will continue criticizing his successor, the Prime Minister ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

{mosgoogle right} During an interview with the media, on his latest book of selected letters sent to world leaders, compiled by Tan Sri Abdullah Ahmad, when asked about his relationship with his successor, he lashed fresh attacks against the PM ‘Flip-Flop’ and said will continue to do so.

He said that there are too many deadwoods in the Government and they need to go. The former UMNO President and BN Chairman also said there should be differentiation on the support the rakyat gave to the party against personalities and some of them should not feel the strong support the rakyat gave them as an endorsement of able to do anything and everything, at their whims and fancies.

He also reminded that the Prime Minister should stop the ‘lavish spending’ using funds meant for the rakyat. He meant the acquisition of A319 CJ VIP transport, the lavish elitist “Soiree” party in Seri Perdana last September dan probably the wasteful ‘Moonsoon Cup’ held annually in Terengganu.

He also stressed that since PM ‘Flip-Flop’ took over, Malaysia have been playing into the tune of Singapore and he was vehemently against this. Decisions made such as the abrupt cancellation of the ‘Scenic Bridge’ in March 2006 and Iskandar Development Region launched in November the same year, shown clearly what the former Prime Minister meant.

Why does Mahathir hate Singapore so much? Is it because the little red dot has done better than him in adminstrating a country despite a lack of natural resources?

Well, one thing that the rakyat can agree with Dr. M on is that there is a lot of deadwood in the government. Who put them there is another issue. But if more comments from Dr. M can help get rid of that deadwood, so be it.

Those deadwoods use to be part of Mahathir's cabinet why is he complaining?
This election will show how strong AAB has become and whether he will downsize his XXL cabinet.
Most people will hope those tainted by corrupsi and abuse of power like Pandamaram King, AP Queen, M2 will not be nominated again.

Don't listen to this 'old fart'. During the Royal Commissions, he was so arrogant and can't remember anything but all of a sudden he can remember the acquisition of A319 CJ VIP transport, the lavish elitist “Soiree” party in Seri Perdana last September. Get real you old man, you are the cause of what is happening in Malaysia today. Don't try to be naive and get sympathy from the rakyat. We know your tactics too well to be cheated again.

It's time for you to go to Mekkah and bertaubat.

Mahathir hates Singapore because its a constant reminder of how he has failed the Malaysian people.

Yeah... those sycophants are the same sycophants he gathered around him when he was leader. Anyone with potential was soon "removed" by the Great Dictator

TDM calls AAB lavish with rakyat's money. He was no different - Pot is calling the kettle black.Guess he loves to hear his own voice - this is what happens when a man is left too long in power. To me TDM means Tanam Dalam Malaysia. The whole rotten BN should go.

"He said that there are too many deadwoods in the Government and they need to go."

----

The deadwoods today started 20 years ago as dead-saplings planted by the same fella that tells us there are deadwoods around.

We were just told that he and only he selects people for all key government posts for the 22 years preceding the last 5.

So any deadwood today must have been planted by this fella and all those key deadwood people he self-selected in the past quarter century.

Now he blames everything on one of those deadwoods he self-selected less than 5 years ago.

What a deadwood hypocrite...

I get very worked up when mahatir makes statements. Mahatir shold direct his complaints standing in front of the mirror.

Yes, Pak Lah is not great, or perhaps not even good as a PM, but it is still early days. The old man's legacy is bad, very bad and deep rooted and it is so stuborn to get rid off and it will be awhile before the old woods are cleared, perhaps after the coming election.

The crooked bridge was a nonsense and the iskandar project is overly ambitious, other than that what's wrong if Johore can be another Singapore or Shenzhen, what has the malays got tol ose, besides pride?

What about including the Iskandar project in the BN manifesto?

Mahatir, reserve your comment and complaints and see your own mistakes. Perhaps when you come back in your next life, u can correct them or perhaps do not repeat them. You are alive and looking good, don't assume that GOD wants you to check on the present govt, but to see and learn about your grave mistake but does NOT include appointing the wrong person as PM.

The more you guys hate him, the more Badawi will WIN. Don't forget, he's the reason why Badawi win so handsomely. Everyone was so happy that he's stepping down and that's how we got cheated.

So the more you hate Mahathir, the more the votes will go to BN.

EXCERPT:
Asked if Abdullah should quit, he replied: “It is up to him to decide. It’s also up to the people to decide. If the people want him to move on, if they think his administration is not benefiting them, they should make a decision.”

COMMENT:
I have made a decision. Pak Lah, it is time to go. Please don't look back.

It is so easy to brand the PM as a "Flip-Flop".

But just 2 items to show that major mistakes were made just before he retired that caused a major FLIP.
The first was the Crooked Bridge that still shows no sign of completion after so many years.
The second was the "Back to English" bombshell that still upset many teachers - even the kids who were in Primary 1 are still using a concoction of BM-English for the subjects as many pupils cannot cope in English.

Guess who made those overnight decisions? Now if he had simply abolished the NEP a year before retiring, Malaysia would be one step closer to real progress.

I don't think Mahathir has the political will to do away with the NEP. In fact nobody could.
The beneficiaries of the NEP are too many, about 70% of the population. There will be a political upheaval to do away with NEP. It has to run its natural course and will die off slowly when our oil reserves runs out and the non bumiputras squeezed dry or chased out whichever comes first.

There he goes again.....the whole world can see thru the ice that his hatred for singapore is a clear reflection of his envy and hatred for LKY. He could not take it when world leaders fly round the globe, had tea with LKY, chat chat then flew off again without even popping by to say hello to him.

In a shrinking world where a strong divide is zipping across East and West, its time to come together, talk away differences, (and childish envy), and formulate plans to face future wolrd trends. But...
