UMNO New Lineup - Does It Matter? PDF Print

It does not matter if it is Muhyiddin or Muhammad Taib, Khairy or Khir Toyo, Zahid Hamidi or someone else. The thing which must change is the mindset of UMNO's leadership.

Of course, Najib did emphasize on change. Mukhriz made 'change' his election platform.

But the 'change' they called for is not a change which is sorely needed by the nation. We need a change in the way this nation is governed. Not a change which will only seek to deepen and strengthen ethno-religious politics. Not the kind of change which will make UMNO more hegemonic, make the police force or any public institutions the tools of politicians or alter the democratic system of this country which may curtail individual rights.

If the change UMNO seeks is to seek more control over government apparatus, more positions in the government linked companies and full access of public resources, then the party will transform fully into an autocratic regime.

Yes, I agree totally.
The new line-up has no significance in the grand scheme of ruling our nation.
The point is that he who's destined to lead is poised to take over.
With such a sullied reputation and one who's not afraid to use underhand and unscrupulous methods, with all the apparatus of the state under his thumb , he can do as he pleases.
God save Malaysia!

"Change" that is promised by the newly elected members of UMNO regime is likened to wornout and out-dated gifts being wrapped up ceremoniously with Christmas wrapping papers!!!

SHAHRIZAT FOR PM, yes a FEMALE PM , WHY NOT? .........IF SHE IS CLEAN

To get rid of much of Barisan obscenities- corruption, torture, killings by starting on new leadership quickly, there is another option.
Either Shahrizat or Khairy table a MOTION OF NO-CONFIDENCE in Najib. Many Barisan MPs would support the motion and together with the PKR, Najib will be kicked out.
Then vote in Shahrizat as PM and Khairy as DPM. I am sure the majority of women in Malaysia will give Shahrizat the support. And men too.
Another option: A UNITY GOVERNMENT HEADED BY SHAHRIZAT, ANWAR , KHAIRY-
SHAHRIZAT AS PM AND 2 MALE DEPUTIES.

Otherwise the path led by murderous and swindling Najib and Muhyiddin is going to be torturous and fatal for rakyat.

change means going to something new or different, it means leaving behind a previous mindset.

the change we see so far is silencing critics, disengaging opponents. Perhaps this is the kind of change umno is embracing?
