Najib heralds the coming of a New Dark Age PDF Print

Parliament has just passed the RM60 billion Second Economic Stimulus Package in the form of a mini-budget, but there has been nothing “stimulating” on the economy.

Instead, the effect had been the opposite as illustrated by the unchecked fall in the Kuala Lumpur stockmarket index in the past six days since the announcement of the RM60 billion package, with the KLSE registering a fall from 858.22 points on March 10 to 841 points at the close of the market today.

Far from being able to stimulate the economy, the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak is the main cause for the crisis of confidence gripping the country, even undermining the RM60 billion second economic stimulus package announced by him last week.

In fact, more and more Malaysians and international observers are asking whether, from recent events, Najib’s impending ascension as the next Prime Minister in the next two weeks herald the coming of a new Dark Age in Malaysia for freedom, democracy and the rule of law in the country.

Only yesterday, DAP MP for Puchong, Gobind Singh Deo was suspended as MP for one year without pay and privileges in a high-handed parliamentary proceeding no different from a kangaroo court, without even giving him a chance to defend himself, on a matter which concerned the Deputy Prime Minister.

This morning, together with other Pakatan Rakyat MPs, I was at the Jalan Duta Sessions Court where DAP National Chairman and MP for Bukit Gelugor, Karpal Singh, was charged under the Sedition Act for expounding a simple legal proposition in the country – that the royalty can be brought to court in their official and even personal capacities.

Najis is so pre-occupied with rearing devils, cultivate them and then send them out to haunt his nemesis (Anwar) and opponents that he just has no time to administer treatment for the country's recession. When the DPM is more concerned about eliminating the opposition with dubious and unconstitutional means, naturally he will bring a cloud of darkness to blanket Malaysia. For that he doesn't deserve to the PM.

The ordinary Malaysians have seen these negative sides of Najib even before he ascends to the throne:-

1. bribes being so blatantly brandished about with a care of right or wrong or an ounce of guilt;
2. lives of oppositions and their families being threatened;
3. politicians being abducted in broad day light and herded for the press to see;
4. people disappearing in the darkness of the night;
5. people being murdered and silenced and the police, judiciary, the attorney general and the related departments covering up for the powers that be;
6. usurping the democratic process of the common man as seen in Perak;
7. playing racist tactics to divide the peace loving Malaysians

What we see in Najib pales in comparison to Mahathir. Mahathir was dictatorial but he was never implicated in murder in a way seen in the gruesome manner witnessed in the Altantuya case and he never abducts or threatens the lives of politicians on the opposite divide.

If he can do all these in broad day light what he will not do at night under cover?

We have already seen the detrimental consequences for bloggers, peaceful dissidents and opposition politicians as played out recently. If lives are so easily disappeared and C4ed, would popular oppositions and dissidents face the same fate from this power crazy, unprincipled and unscrupulous leader once he ascends to the throne?

What Najib did only showed the playing out of the last stage of a dying UMNO. With the voters deserting the party Najib has now resorted to buying over politicians and using the Sultans, MACC, Police, the Public Service and all sorts of trickery and draconian acts to stay in power.

What is more appalling is that this corrupt regime is using the taxpayers' money - your money and my money - to buy over the politicians and to feed the voracious appetite of UMNO members and their cronies. This money could be put to good use by helping so many poor rakyat but it chose to squander our money on the very politicans we voted to office and cronies!

THIS CROOK PLAN IS JUST A WASTE OF MONEY AND WILL FURTHER DRAIN OUT OUR RESERVE FASTER THAN YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT. BULK OF THIS PACKAGE WILL BE FOR BAIL-OUT AND PLUNDERING OF OUR NATIONAL WEALTH FOR PERSONEL BENEFIT.

All these monies should have been used to reduce the burden of the rakyat at time of uncertainty, not creating more profit for the mega companies.

Stop robbing the rakyat of their monies.

Have absolutely no respect for UMNo politicians. They are in politic to serve their own interest only.

I dare say that they are all a bunch of Corrupted Beroks who never weight the consequence of having Najib for a PM....all they care about are the billions of rinngits in kick back they will recieve.

Okay, so Najib becomes the Prime Minister of Malaysia, so what!! Imagine this scenario here.....

Najib go on an official visit to any one country in Europe, someone lodge a Police Report on his involvement in the Altantuya case.

He can claim diplomatic immunity...cut short his trip to come back to Malaysia!! Then what's he going to do next??!! He can't just hide all the time, you know!!! Asthe Prime Minister of Malaysia, he can probably go around in Asean Countries which are famous for tramping upon human rights or some corrupted Afican Countries like Zimbabwe or lawless countries like Somalia or maybe Russia where they can sell him more outdated weaponry at jack up price.

Trades need to be negotiated and deals need to be signed. So, how effective can he be as a PM when he's fated to play hide and seek??? Hmmmm???!!

Remember the case on Chilean Dictator, Pinochet?? He was practically under house arrest in England near the end of his life. Was only release on humanitarian ground to go home to Chile to die....

Know why Ariel Sharon of Isreal never pay any visit to Europe at the later stage of his political career? Did not dare to, as he was wanted in Europe for his role in the massacre of palestinians in Jenin.

French newspaper reported najib's involvement in the Altantuya case but he never sue them. Such serious accusation but he never make a sound, do you think the Police in Europe are like those in Malaysia??? Or the courts in Europe can be influence by UMNO??? Hahaha....

And Rosmah, yes Rosmah....your days of shopping spree in Europe are over....I dare you to pay a visit to Europe.
