Govt Urged To Withdraw Permission On Use Of "Allah" PDF Print

(MySinchew) - KEPALA BATAS: The Malaysian Islamic Da'wah Foundation (Yadim) today called on the government to withdraw the permission for the conditional use of the word "Allah" in Christian publications.

Its chairman Datuk Mohd Nakhaie Ahmad said the government had not acted wisely in allowing the use of the word in Christian publications, which he said could anger Muslims not only in the country but also throughout the world.

He said the government should have left the matter for the court to decide.

"To me, it's a mistake," he told reporters after opening a halal carnival here today.

A government gazette dated Feb 16 has stated that documents and publications relating to Christianity containing the world "Allah" are prohibited unless the words "FOR CHRISTIANITY" are written on their front covers.

The condition was contained under the Internal Security (Prohibition on Use of Specific Words on Document and Publication) Order 2009.

Paragraph 2 (1) of the order reads: The printing, publication, sale, issue, circulation and possession of any document and publication relating to Christianity containing the words Allah, Kaabah, Baitullah and solat are prohibited unless on the front cover of the document and publication are written with the words "FOR CHRISTIANITY."

As bad as some of these Muslims throughout the world may be, none of them are as mentally stunted as the Malay-Muslim UMNO mules. But then again, all this is your own doing collectively, after all the guy who released the gazette is a Yemeni pendatang masquerading as a Malay. This is why you Malays will keep paying the price when you allow fake-o Malays like the Albars, Mahathirs, Zambrys, Ahmad Ismails, etc. run the show on your behalf.

But then again, seeing that this statement is coming out from Kepala Batas, this guy is very likely yet another fake-o Malay bellowing the loudest about Malay rights.

Allah is used throughout the world even before the Muslims used it...you arse! The govt. is giving the conditional approval because they know an unbiased judge would judge in the church's favour as their ban on using the word is ridiculous and laughable. How stupid can these guys be in the face of irrefutable evidence that the word Allah is and never was exclusive to Muslims.

Just imagine if the government of India bars non-Indians to use any words of Sanskrit origin.

Wake up to yourself fools. No one has exclusive rights to any words in the world.

I am disappointed that these ignorant fools never understood the Arab language. Neither have they read the Koran and understood the contents.

Nakal and members of Yadim.
Don't you fear God or don't you read the Quran?
Here, read this:

"Dia (Allah) menurunkan kepada kamu Al Kitab (Quran)yang benar, dan yang mengesahkan apa yang diturunkan sebelumnya. Dan Dia juga menurunkan Taurat dan Injil sebelumnya sebagai petunjuk bagi manusia. Dan Dia menurunkan Furqan. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang tidak percaya kepada ayat-ayat Allah, bagi mereka azab yang keras. (3:3-4).

translation:
"He is the One who revealed to you this scripture (Quran) with truth to verify what He has revealed before. And He revealed the Torah and Bible previously to serve as a guidance for mankind. And He also revealed the Furqan (Statute).
Verily those who disbelieved in His revelations, for them awaits a terrrible retribution.( Surah Ali Imran:3-4)"

These verses prove beyond a doubt that both the Torah and Bible are Allah's revelations. Since He revealed them, why can't His name (Allah) be used in them?

Who are you to dispute? Or are you disputing with God?

I don't know about the rest, but as far as I know Muslim & Christian Arabs use the same word (since "the word" is very sensitive, I'd better not mention it) referring to the Creator and nobody gets offended by it! So, where did this guy get the "throughout the world" nonsense from exactly?

Hi, Mohd Nakhaie Ahmad, as far as I am concerned , you can have the sole and exclusive right to use this word "Allah" if it pleases and give you lots of satisfaction.! I have got no problem !

Suggest you also check with the "PATENT" office if you could claim to be the only person or persons in Malaysia to be allowed to use this word and no one else in the world be able to do so.

Stupid!! Malaysian Islamic Da'wah Foundation (Yadim) groups people, I think you should go out from Malaysia and live in Arab countries at least one month to know how funny you are in the eyes of international community.

what is the different between Allah and allah? Sure you know the answer! do you feel insulted if I call allah/illah look like an elephant in Hindu temple? Sure not! So, what the different? Because I am using small letter for (a)allah not capital letter A for Allah. Hmm...but the sound is similar, isn't it? Don't you understand that you will never able to stop people using those sound/writing that similar to Allah? How you define and prevent people from using this word?

Tired enough for this stupidity. Am sorry for this statement but...I don't want people laugh at me everyday. I love Malaysia and will do anything for Malaysia to prevent international community from insulting me as Malaysian in abroad.

my Allah is stronger than you Allah?

Allah (Arabic: الله‎, Allāh, is the standard Arabic word for 'God.' it is used by Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, in reference to "God". The term was also used by pagan Meccans as a reference to the creator-god, possibly the supreme deity in pre-Islamic Arabia.

Please understand the term before you go around trying to copyright them.

what anger people than a bunch of hypocrites who thought that the word 'Allah' cant be used in any languages even by other religions. Please bear in mind that others religions's prophets were often used in Bahasa Malaysia/Arab. Koran was made and spread across in many languages of the world. Do other religions complain on this? NO, because they believe religion is an individual's choice. So what is your YAADIM's problem?

In a lightning response to Yadim chairman, Syed Albar immediately rescinded the gazette on the word 'Allah' by admitting mistake has been done. You believe this reasoning?

RPK's and Tawfik Hamid's articles are extremely good guidance.

"Tangkap cacing masuk dubur". Where there was no problem before, UMNO created the problem for the country. We are looking at the classic UMNO racist culture imprinted on the minds of these malays.

The outcome of it all is the shame the malay community has to face because somehow this group is so vocal in their insanity and bigottedness that they begin to represent themselves as the face of the malay community to the world. The general impression given of the minds of malays somewhat akin to "natives in loin-cloth and neckties" who control the parliment.

Shame shame. What a shame. Damned UMNO destructive policies

Hmm,.. no reasons why only that the courts should decide.
can't he give a solid , valid reason as a man of god why other religions cannot use the term Allah?
It's not that the other religions borrowed the term, their holy books used Allah as well.

It is ironical to think that a gazetted ruling 10 days ago can be ungazetted due to a mistake.

The new war on terror has many people asking, "Who is this Allah?" The pope says that Allah and Jehovah are the same god. President Bush and Ophra Winfrey call Islam a peace-loving religion. This confusion is made worse by Bible translators who have translated the English word "God" as "Allah" in Arabic Bibles.

The Bible says that those who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. So what name shall we use? We had better get it right if our eternal destiny depends on it.

If the pope is right and Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship the same God, only under different names, then Jesus was wrong in John 14:6 when He said that "no man cometh to the Father, but by me."

Peter was also wrong on the day of Pentecost when he told the curious crowd that the Jesus they had crucified was the one they were to call on for salvation. He repeated the same declaration a few days later in front of the Sanhedrin that there was "...none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (See Acts 2 through 4.)

Throughout the Old Testament, the idea of God's name being special, holy, not to be profaned, is continually emphasized by the prophets. God was jealous when the people worshipped or served any of the other pagan deities. He didn't say, "Its okay to worship, Molech, Tammus, or Baal. That's just Me by another name."

The Allah of the Koran is not the God of the Bible. They are two very different personalities. The modes of worship and rules of life are opposite and contradictory.

The God of the Bible appears to care very much who we call upon for salvation. So should we.

A page in an 1894 copy of a prayer book in Malaysia before any of us were born is having the word Allah in it with reference to God. Won't it cause more confusion among the Christians in east Malaysia by telling them it was 'wrong'?

Incidently, the Jews, Muslims and Christians all follow the same God of Abraham whether he is called Allah or whatever. And as all this predates Islam, why should Islam have a monopoly over a word? Are the Muslims in Malaysia so shallow in their beliefs that they get all confused and convert to Christianity. Please give more credit and have faith in your people!
