Sarawak DAP to deal 'only with Anwar' PDF Print

(NST) KUCHING: Sarawak DAP on Sunday laid down one of the ground rules on how it would conduct talks with Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) on the allocation of seats among the two opposition parties in the next state election.

The party made it clear that it would only talk to PKR's de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"We will not talk to any state PKR leaders," DAP chairman and Bukit Assek assemblyman Wong Ho Leng said after a meeting with Anwar here.

The condition was seen as a move to avoid the bad blood that developed between state PKR and DAP leaders after the allocation of seats in last year's parliamentary election. The two parties fought bitterly over how Chinese-majority seats should be allocated.

Wong was one of three DAP leaders who met Anwar at a hotel here. The others were Kidurong assemblyman Chiew Chiu Sing and Sarawak DAP founder Chong Siew Chang.

Wong said one consensus reached with Anwar was that there should be a one-against-one contest in all constituencies.

A confirmation that without DSAI, Pakatan won't move. That said, there is need for DAP and PKR leaders in Sarawak to forget the past, learn from their mistakes and move on just like Lim Kit Siang and Utaz Hadi Awang have done. Otherwise Tahip Mahnuk (Taib) will relish your infighting. Sarawak belongs to you, so don't wait for DSAI and other PR leaders. Start showing unity in this Batang Ai by-election and hand Tahip Mahnuk an ignominious defeat.

This is BN's and Najib's worst nightmare. Another by election and another defeat. Pakatan Rakyat in Sarawak must be united to send Taib Mahmud and BN/Umno to the sewers...More http://*********.********.com

Good move to ensure there is no DAP-PKR contesting among one another. However, please do not rely too much on Anwar. He has alot to handle being the opposition leader as well. Also please get some good PAS leaders to develop the PAS candidates there. They are being trounced there currently and not making headways.

The problem is all with Dominic. A simple invitation to DAP for a function with DSAI in Kuching can go missing. You are the Kuching ADUN becos you are in the opposition and DAP did not field anyone. I'll bet you lose your deposit if DAP fielded any one, even an orangutan.

We are now catching the wind of change. Don't throw in any spanna b4 we reach the shore. When PR takes over, you will not be forgotten. Cooperate.

Mr. Wong Hoe Leng, the best time to show unity is to let by gone be by gone. DAP, PKR got to work hand in hand so that their common enemy UMNO regime could be crushed and pinned under with ease.

We want a change of government, for East Malaysia as well as West Malaysia cos' we both have suffered too much and too long under the present regime. It is time we work together towards a common goal, to get rid of the rascals, to banish the corrupt, and the immorals from our coutry we called Malaysia!!!!

God bless Malaysia!!!!!

Don't repeat the same mistake you made in Sabah in the March 8 general election last year. If DAP and PKR could work together, they would have captured at least half a dozen seats instead of one in the Sabah state legislature.
