Najib confirms himself as the sole candidate for Umno presidency PDF Print

(The Malaysian Insider) - Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Najib Razak today confirmed his candidacy for the post of Umno president in the party election next month.

Najib’s candidacy forms were submitted by his political secretary, Datuk Shafei Abdullah, to Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor at about 4.20 pm at the Umno headquarters at the Putra World Trade Centre, here.

Also present was the Senior Private Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Abdul Aziz Kasim.

Candidates eligible to contest for posts in the Umno Supreme Council (MT) and excos in the various Umno wings have up to midnight tonight to hand over their confirmation or rejection letters after the letters and forms were distributed on Jan 29. “Although Datuk Seri Najib has no challenger (for the post of president), under the Umno constitution, Datuk Seri Najib must fill up the forms as proof that he is willing to accept the nominations from the divisions,” said Tengku Adnan.

In addition, Tengku Adnan said, candidates who were eligible to contest the posts of deputy president and vice-presidents had also submitted their acceptance forms.

So far, about 70 per cent of the candidacy forms that were given to the eligible candidates had been returned.

For the post of deputy president, it will be a three-cornered contest between International Trade and Industry Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin, Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam, and Rural and Regional Development Minister Tan Sri Muhammad Muhd Taib.

The three vice-presidents’ posts are being contested by Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar, former Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Tan Sri Isa Abd Samad, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim, former Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Seri Jamaludin Jarjis, and former Melaka Chief Minister Tan Sri Rahim Tamby Chik.

Go ahead Najib!! Soon or later, the rakyat wajib to throw you out! you have so many unclear habits! Malaysian PM with so many unclear cases! Asian is always Asian. Rumors are important than the facts! Rumors put you terrible down among pure Malaysians.

I fail to understand why the UMNO Malays are not using their brains and elect Najib as the next UMNO President and eventually the PM of Malaysia. Why can't they see the light, why can't they know having Najib, so tainted in everty field, will bring disaster to the country.

I think, the Malays of UMNO have to stop this progression.

dalam masa yang sama juga ... Malaysia bersama rakyatnya juga akan bebas daripada jajahan kezaliman umno ..

Surprise...surprise....Najis begins to ascension into his throne without any competitiion...What better way for his closest rival, Tengku Razaleigh, to trounce Najis at this point of time by resigning from UMNO and joining the ranks of Zaid Ibrahim....Kuli, what are you waiting for? Now is your chance to serve your people and exact revenge at the same time....

I dissociate myself from this leader.
Yes, in a democracy , we who had supported the PR platform had fallen short on 080308 this leader of ill repute is thrust on the rakyat by the UMNOputras.
I refuse to acknowledge him as the country's lawfully elected PM

Obviously there is only 1 candidate for the role of Mafia Boss in the UMNO because everyone is aware that there is Bau Najis prervading the whole pathetic set-up.
Siapa berani bertanding most probably will end up missing or maybe even be given the C4 treatment by the person feared by PDRM, Judiciary, MACC, EC etc.
Nobody dares to challenge him but I am sure if there is sufficient evidence available to enable him to hang from the end of a rope together with Fat Mama, all his so-called loyal supporters will immediately denounce him. That pack of vultures are loyal only because he is currently wielding all the power because Sleepy prefers to go down in history as the pM who promised the most but did the least. But most importantly he will be remembered for abandoning the rakyat in their darkest hour when the country is degenerating into the rule of satan.

The recent "coup" is a major personal victory for Najib but not in the eyes of the rakyat. His victory may endear to his band of pirates and thieves as it showed he is meanest, shrewdest and unscrupulous amongst them. But to ordinary Malaysians it just showed the negative side of him.

The ordinary Malaysians have seen these negative sides of Najib:-

1. politicians being bought over with bribes being so blatantly brandished about with a care of right or wrong or an ounce of guilt;
2. lives of oppositions and their families being threatened;
3. politicians being abducted in broad day light and herded for the press to see;
4. people disappearing in the darkness of the night;
5. people being murdered and silenced and the police, judiciary, the attorney general and the related departments covering up for the powers that be;
6. spreading of nude photos and invasion of privacy into the personal lives of opposition politicians.

What we see in Najib is the precursor and beginning of dark clouds that he is bringing to blanket over Malaysia. We will enter into a dark age and see an era of iron hand rule which will pale in comparison to Mahathir. Mahathir was dictatorial but he never kills anybody in the gruesome manner witnessed in the Altantuya case and he never abducts or threatens the lives or circulate nude photos of politicians on the opposite divide.

If he can attempt to do all these in broad day light what he will not do at night under cover?

We can expect to see in the near future worst consequences for bloggers (especially Raja Petra), peaceful dissidents and opposition politicians. If lives are so easily disappeared and C4ed, would popular oppositions and dissidents face the same fate from this power crazy, unprincipled and unscrupulous leader once he ascends to the throne?

Each day passes and Barisan, judiciary and police are getting more unworkable due to increasing constitutional crisis, increasing mountains of police reports, allegations, crime of every sort and a paralysed and near dead judiciary. In one word- ‘MESS.’

Because of Barisan policies in obscene corruption to hundreds of billions, murders, tortures, election scams, Najib refusing to face court for murder charge, ISA detaining rakyat for crying out for justice. Hidden and secret properties, land, companies, schools are registered in the names of 95-100 % of all Barisan and officials, away from the eyes and ears of rakyat. As one blogger said, the money stolen is worth hundreds of thousands of low cost houses. Most of them should be in jail and their assets taken back.
All departments are rotten in corruption and rakyat is deprived of many things in life.
Judiciary is paralysed, in coma. The police are swindlers, the murderers and torturers for Barisan. Barisan and officials live like kings and queens from their crooked means while rakyat live miserable lives and die 20 years younger than them.

Barisan government is a FREAK SHOW-------- FULL OF SWINDLERS,MURDERERS, KIDNAPPERS,TORTURERS AND CHEATS.
BARISAN has also stolen hundreds of millions of Malaysia money to lure Legislators and voters- all illegal, to hang on to power at whatever cost to the country so that they can continue to plunder. The stolen money is supposed to help the poor and the sick. They have stolen palaces full of Malaysian ringgit for themselves alone.
Malaysian fabric of government and society is getting more and more confused and crumbling fast.
I predict that in the coming days, Malaysia will be ungovernable as there is no honest leadership because the whole governments will just be a BIG TOTAL MESS.
There will be violence in the streets and do not be surprised there may be assassinations on PKR leadership who are fighting for justice. The live bullets sent to Karpal Singh may be the start.
Najib is fighting for his life to get away from the MURDER CHARGE. He is cornered and will do anything to stay in as PM- fcuk everybody else. Najib must be arrested or sacked.

I call on the KING to DECLARE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND DISMISS BARISAN GOVERNMENT, INSTALL A CARETAKER PM AND CALL A GENERAL ELECTION because Barisan, Umno obscenities have totally gone beyond repair.

Tired and sober... nothing will stop this DPM Najip to be our next PM cause he has started his setting on becoming one. IF ONLY ALL MALAYS FOR THE SAKE OF MALAY RACE, have the power to the stop Najip becoming PM, Malays should be ashamed of Najip for ALL HIS ILL CONDUCTS.Do we really deserve this MAN to be our PM!

Yes, I truly miss our beloved Tunku. Sad he spent his last few years fighting Dr M for our democratic rights and freedom. Now, we know who started the rot in the 80's and continued to this day. Very sad indeed that one man could do so much damage to our country's democratic system, to the point of no return.

If the PM in waiting were to take over, the plunder and pillage would continue and our beloved Malaysia would continue the downward spiral to become a backward and bankrupt nation.

Can we stop the slide? Can we reverse the trend? Can we make Malaysia a great nation again? Do I hear a resounding “Yes, we can!”?
