The Perak Menteri Besar is currently in an audience with the Sultan of Perak to brief Tuanku on the current political crisis in Perak. Will the MB seek Tuanku’s consent to dissolve the Perak State Assembly so that fresh state elections can be held? I hope so.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

He's making a list
He’s checking it twice
He’s gonna find out who's naughty and nice
Santa Claus is coming to town

He knows when you are sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake

Yes, Santa Claus is in town. And he goes by the name of Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin.

Hamzah is the Chairman of FELCRA. In case you have never heard that name before, he is the man who abandoned his wife to marry a ‘trophy wife’. The Syariah Court made him pay his abandoned wife RM10 million in ‘damages’, a small portion of what he actually owns. How a mere Chairman of FELCRA can have so much money is beyond me. According to his wife, Hamzah is worth at least RM30 million from what she knows. And she says he has more stashed away somewhere, which unfortunately she is not able to track down.

Hamzah, who has been working for Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak since 1987 (when Najib first became the Umno Youth Leader), came into the limelight back in 1998 when he alleged that Anwar Ibrahim was trying to seduce his ‘trophy wife’. What happened was that Hamzah instructed his wife to phone Anwar to lobby for some government contracts. Eventually, Anwar told his office to bar all the calls because she started to become a nuisance. This riled up Hamzah who made that allegation against Anwar when it was actually the other way around -- she was trying to seduce Anwar. Clearly, Hamzah’s ‘trophy wife’ was meant as ‘bait’ with financial rewards in mind.

And Hamzah is now the man going around the country and entrusted by Najib with the task of buying up Pakatan Rakyat Wakil Rakyat at RM10 million apiece. They are in fact prepared to up the price to RM15 million if necessary. And he is not only going around Perak. The offer is also being made to Selangor and Kedah Wakil Rakyat from Pakatan Rakyat. Get ready for another political crisis soon in Kedah. After all, RM10 million is a lot of money. RM15 million is even nicer.

Today, one Perak Wakil Rakyat from Pakatan Rakyat signed a Statutory Declaration to say that they offered him RM50 million to cross over to Barisan Nasional (See: SURAT AKUAN FAUZI MUDA). Later today he is going to lodge an official report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). If, later, I get a copy of it, I will upload it below this article. (Also see: Kenyataan Akhbar YB Arumugam, ADUN Bkt Selambau).

The Perak Menteri Besar is currently in an audience with the Sultan of Perak to brief Tuanku on the current political crisis in Perak. Will the MB seek Tuanku’s consent to dissolve the Perak State Assembly so that fresh state elections can be held? I hope so. I think that fresh state elections should be held instead of just two by-elections in Behrang and Changkat Jering. Then, once and for all, Pakatan Rakyat can embark on a ‘house-cleaning’ exercise. All those unstable and suspect Wakil Rakyat can be dropped and replaced with more qualified candidates. As is stands now, some of the Pakatan Rakyat Wakil Rakyat sucks and I would not even trust them to walk my dog.

We will know later today whether we are going to see fresh state elections or two by-elections in Perak. I hope for the former. But it is going to be very expensive. There are 59 state seats involved and Barisan Nasional will spend at least RM30 million per seat. This will come to about RM900 million or almost RM1 billion, a big boost to the Perak economy -- at the expense of the taxpayers of course. Pakatan Rakyat would have to spend at least RM500,000 per seat. This will total about RM30 million for the 59 seats.

What is Pakatan Rakyat’s RM30 million against Barisan Nasional’s RM900 million? In Ijok, Barisan Nasional spent RM96 million. In Permatang Pauh more than RM100 million. And in Kuala Terengganu more than RM500 million if you include the RM400 million ‘special investment fund’ that Najib launched during the by-election campaign. In spite of all this money, Barisan Nasional still lost the Permatang Pauh and Kuala Terengganu by-elections, although it did win Ijok (but this was before the Tsunami hit Malaysia or else they would have lost Ijok as well).

Yes, Santa Claus is in town. So Pakatan Rakyat had better lock up all their Wakil Rakyat. How many can resist RM10 million or RM15 million? It is not easy to say no to that amount of money. Some Pakatan Rakyat Wakil Rakyat come from humble beginnings and have never seen RM1 million in their entire life, let alone RM10 million or RM15 million. Money can cloud your thinking and make you do things you would never dream of doing before. And this is what Barisan Nasional is hoping for.

Dear MB Perak, dissolve the Perak State Assembly and hold fresh state elections. Then, once and for all, embark on a house-cleaning exercise and get rid of the riff-raff. After that you can settle down and concentrate on running the state instead of constantly looking over your shoulders, wondering who is going to next cross over to Barisan Nasional. Sure, you need a lot of money to do this. But trust the Rakyat. The Rakyat will come forward to help you with the required finances. I will start the ball rolling by personally pledging RM30,000.

No doubt RM30,000 is far short of RM30 million. But it is a start. More will come in once you dissolve the Perak State Assembly and call for fresh state elections. The Rakyat will help pay for the cost of burying Barisan Nasional once and for all.

Over to you Boss. May you decide on the right thing for Perak.

Should Pakatan Rakyat dissolve the Perak State Assembly and call for fresh state elections?

GO HERE TO VOTE

Yes!! that is the way to go to solve the current problem once and for all, have a fresh state general election and with the current trend, Pakatan Rakyat should have no problem of getting a much better majority than last March election.

The big problem is -- will the Sultan of Perak agree to the dissolution of the State Assembly?

Some of the Pakatan Rakyat Wakil Rakyats are not really on high moral ground, don't forget especially those from Keadilan are actually ex-UMNO, unless they have already changed their mind set, otherwise we will see the same only in different names only.

Good afternoon, Raja Petra, thank you very much for the swift update. once again we are back onto the battle field, this time it is located in Perak state. As though the politicians have nothing else to do but to continue fighting among each other, They have totally forgotten the country is in turbulent waters, and they don't care!!

Well, we still have the time and energy to contribute for a good course: to wipe off UMNO goons for the third round!!

Thank you once again for your ever passionate spirit, Raja!!!!

We all love you dearly! Salam to your family..

How can the PR continue governing Perak when images of RM10 million to RM15 million cash are swirling in the minds of the PR assemblymen? Furthermore, BeEnd assemblymen also can't function properly due to jealousy.

If Nizar seeks the Sultan's consent to dissolve the state assembly, let us pray that the ruler will make a wise decision.

Great, let's have a fresh election for Perak. We are ready to contribute - it's a price that a lot of peace loving Malaysians are willing to pay! If BN loses again, then, we can expect the disintegration of BN (UMNO in particular) and we will finally see the end of MONEY POLITICS and the disgraceful behaviour of Malaysia's "police thugs"!

I am quite sure the Aduns currently with BN are damn envious of their counterpart in Perak. RM15 million is a dream come true and they will definitely threaten to cross over to PR if they do not get similar offers to remain in BN. Just imagine the number of Aduns BN will have to deal with. They will either deplete their war-chest or their party will remain in constant turmoil in years to come.

As for the PR representatives, just remind them that PR will act on and report all corruption cases to the authorities and will see to it that justice is done. This will ensure that all PR representatives will not be tempted by the corrupt practices of BN and remains loyal to the people who elected them to their positions.

I say let the 2 PKR defectors join UMNO; they will be living in their own natural habitat. Only thieves, robbers and the corruptible will be joining UMNO. Let the world see that by joining UMNO, their corruption charges can be voided!

PR will have to be realistic and let the 2 running dogs go to join UMNO. The legal precedence and the bias of the judiciary will favour the powers that be which is UMNO. Their resignation letters will be of no use to stop them from defecting and vacating their state seats.

Instead of stopping them, PR should start an education campaign to show the rakyat that only the corrupt and thieves would be attracted to UMNO. It is far better to treat the 2 defectors as tainted viruses and let them to be injected into UMNO to infect and inflict terminal illness to UMNO. PR will be in a better position to win any future elections this way rather than to fight them in court which PR will surely lose!

The wise Sultan of Perak should allow the dissolution of the state assembly and a fresh election to be held. If not, the razor thin majority will disrupt Perak again and again in the future. This will not going to be the last of the disruptions; you can be sure of that! If a decisive fresh election is not held soon, a lot of time and money will be wasted by the Perak Government in future due to disruptions and upheavals caused by UMNO which the citizens of Perak can ill afford in this trying time of financial crises!

If UMNO offers RM10~15 million to PR kataks, they also must offer the same to those state assemblymen in PR states like Perak/Kedah now that the cat is out of the bag with RPK's revelation.

Otherwise we may find a reverse crossover of disgruntled UMNO state assemblymen to PKR.

SOS CALL number 3

TO AGONG, SULTAN MIZAN ZAINAL ABIDIN
DECLARE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND DISMISS BARISAN GOVERNMENT, INSTALL A CARETAKER PM AND CALL A GENERAL ELECTION

Because of Barisan policies in obscene corruption to hundreds of billions, murders, tortures, election scams, Najib refusing to face court for murder charge, ISA detaining rakyat for crying out for justice. Hidden and secret properties, land, companies, schools are registered in the names of 95-100 % of all Barisan and officials, away from the eyes and ears of rakyat. As one blogger said, the money stolen is worth hundreds of thousands of low cost houses. Most of them should be in jail and their assets taken back.
All departments are rotten in corruption and rakyat is deprived of many things in life.
Judiciary is paralysed, in coma. The police are swindlers, the murderers and torturers for Barisan. Barisan and officials live like kings and queens from their crooked means while rakyat live miserable lives and die 20 years younger than them.
I am not surprised to read that that cooks and waiters spit on the food for the Barisan VIPs and officials. Not surprised if their food are also flavoured with wee and shit too.

Barisan government is a FREAK SHOW-------- FULL OF SWINDLERS,MURDERERS, KIDNAPPERS,TORTURERS AND CHEATS.
BARISAN has also stolen hundreds of millions of Malaysia money to lure Legislators and voters- all illegal. The stolen money is supposed to help the poor and the sick. They have stolen palaces full of Malaysian ringgit for themselves alone.
Malaysian fabric of government and society is getting more and more confused and crumbling fast.

If Agong does not install justice, I call on men and women of Malays, HINDRAF, BERSIH and other races to hold large demonstrations and fights which will, within days, topple Barisan like the domino.

In 1986, PBS was forced to hold a re-State Election following BN's attempt to topple the new PBS govt. The Party won a two-third majority that silenced the BN. In 1994, PBS tried the same action when BN went on a shopping spree to buy PBS a-men after it lost yet another State Elecction.

Butthis time, knowing they will lose, BN rushed to Istana Negeri to convince the Head of State that it had a majority in the State Assembly following defection of PBS a-men to BN.

The TYT, a pro Umno, consented.

MB Nizar, get a new mandate from the Perak rakyat and bury BN once and for all.

All the millions spent by BN on the elections are our tax money. Hai, Pak Bibir Ros Najib..kamu ni makin lama makin menggila...nampak saja bersahaja tapi hati kamu amatlah gamat dan hitam sekali.

Ini lah cara UMNO..kalau bukan bagi rasuah bagi mati. And best of all, you do it openly, shamelessly, brazenly because you believe you are above the law. Yalah, Najib, you are above the law BUT there is One who is above you..Allah Maha Agung. Tell me, Najib adakah kamu lebih berkuasa dari Allah. Kamu cuma di bumi Allah di atas. You care?? No lah.

I am simply amazed and astounded by the sheer arrogrance, ego, shameless, brazen attitudes of man when comes to god. These man/woman who professes their faith/religions and wag their fingers at the god above to demand this and that. Worst of all, if things don't get their wants, they will whine and sulk like little children. You have to Fear for your gods and certainly no respect at all for the Al-mighty. I dunno..i don't believe in any of your faiths/religions. You sungguh berani sekali.

The expected outcome of new state-elections, if any, will most likely hasten the early downfall of UMNO and the PM-in-waiting. As the possibility of losing bad for them is very high, they are expected to play it real rough, not excluding creating choatic social scenarios in the state as well as in the country during or after the event. Their recent glaring 'monetary-and-kidnapping' maneuvoures are indications of their current power hungry and desperate political positions. They cannot afford to lose but they WILL certainly lose. Hence, all concerned citizens should be on high alert from day one to counter and overcome such ugly possibilities from potentially bad UMNO losers should the state assembly be dissolved. Whatever it is, DOWN WITH CORRUPTED AND EVIL UMNO!

Santa Claus is coming to Perak. But this bald headed mustacho is no Santa but Claws.

Looking at the way Tajol resign as the Perak chief, to make way for this PM-to-be to buy up the weak assemblymen, we should have already known that he is desperately consolidating his power.

Counting his days to throne, he will pay whatever it costs to make sure nothing untoward will happen to his succession to throne. 50 millions is nothing, the rakyat will have to pay for whatever he forked out.

I would prefer no by-election, for it has burdened us badly. However, if situation is such inevitable that a fresh mandate is imperative, go all out to show him the people's power just before or after his succession to premiership.

Hi RPK,

How are you? Hope you n family are fine. This is my 1st post since I have been fan of this website for more than a year.

IM NOT agree with you regarding calling for by-election. I do understand that rakyat really want to kick BN, want to show them way out. I would much more agree if Pak Lah is the one that dissolve the parliament, so that rakyat can have a new government and for sure it wont be BN government.

Back to the topic, not agree because as I knew, RPK knew and others knew that we are having an economy issue. Im not the one that telling you, but I always heard people taking about it at kedai kopi. Maybe some of you are talking about it and Im pasang telinga heard about it and maybe vice versa.

We as rakyat, we really need money to survive and to get money, you need to have a job, thats why a thief wont be call as job. So, I wanna make it short, by-election will use alot of money, not by 1 side but both sides and at the same and by spending alot of money the fight who're government or not, Im sure now is not the right time.

Anyway, I will always do support all of you until BN government is history.

It has been one hell of a week in Perak. One hell of an interesting week. I am still observing the developments. My take on this (Disclaimer: Conspiracy theory abound and is personal speculation. Read with utmost caution.) is:

1. PKR has a mole in UMNO/Najib's side.
2. PKR has sleepers in UMNO.
3. PKR knows of the coming defection by their 2 ADUNs which were in the closing stages.
4. PKR took pre-emptive move in getting the Bota ADUN to cross over (a PKR sleeper?). PKR could not take chances any more.
5. This nullifies the use of getting the 2 PKR ADUN to cross over. Practically threw a big spanner into UMNO's plans.
6. UMNO/Najib caught off guard. They took a longer time to decide what to do. Notice gap of a few days before the 2 ADUNs reappear.
7. The delay in the reappearance forced PKR's hands to submit the signed resignation letters before the ADUNs declare changing parties. Note that the ADUNs did not deny signing such letters.
8. If the letters only appear after the ADUNs change parties, it may be too late to 'save' the PKR seats and will take longer to get a by-election. Pre-emptive action saved them time and thwarted UMNO's plans.
9. UMNO/Najib now slowly backing off as there is nothing to gain now. Note that the status of the 2 ADUNs are still not clarified. It isn't a difficult issue to clarify position if acting as independent individuals. The DAP ADUN did it.
10. The 2 PRK ADUNs did not turn up for own press conference and I suspect there reasons for their disappearance would not stand up against scrutiny. A no comment stand or inconsistent replies would risk a public relations disaster. Thus the use of a representative so that nobody can ask incriminating questions.

Now we wait for more developments.

What this episode shows me is that PKR under the guidance of DSAI is crafty. Good or bad? I can't say. There must exist a mole working for PKR or even perhaps supplied by enemies of Najib in UMNO. Whatever it is, DSAI knows UMNO's tactics better than most. After all, he was the person who got things done for UMNO when he was the deputy. DSAI was the person who went to the ground and worked with all levels. If there be one person who can play against UMNO at their own games, it's him.

I also suspect there are more PKR sleepers in UMNO who could change parties at will. It is better for them to remain in UMNO for now. They cause confusion within the party and you can't tell them apart.

A by-election may favour either PR or BN. The voters are sick of manipulative politicking. However one thing for sure is that even if they had the 2 by-elections, PR would still be in power as things stand.

A state-wide 're'-election would be the bigger gamble. If the PR wins more seats it may hasten the fall of UMNO's big shots. In fact, opponents of Najib within and without UMNO may wish to see this happen. It would be a big no-confidence vote against Najib. I suspect RPK would like to see this happen too.

The downside for PKR is that they are forced to show their cards. Now everyone knows that PKR ADUNs and MP have signed undated resignation letters. What other aces PKR has up it's sleeves, I can't even begin to speculate. The greatest upside for PKR is that UMNO is now confused as to what would be their next move. They would likely buy time to reassure their members while trying to find the mole(s). Expect more covert witch hunts within UMNO and more UMNO reps 'denying rumours'. The effect of this is that the UMNO members would drift away from UMNO as they get disenchanted as after all this, what does UMNO truly stand for?

Hi clusco, I understand how you and everyone feel that the economy should be first priority. Unfortunately, with or without the by-election, taxpayers money will be drained by UMNO, i.e. in terms of corruption, and other mishandled projects. It is futile worrying because we are already in a deep recession. To be fair to PR, they are in the process of tackling the recession, especially Lim Guan Eng (Penang is hit quite badly at the moment).

Do you really think that without the by-election, the BN government is going to help us all out when they themselves are in self-denial and looking after their own pockets? That should be your greatest worry.

Yes, people are fed up, so once and for all if there is a by-election in Perak, it will be the people to stand together and come up with voluntary funds. UMNO, of course, will use taxpayers's money - if not for a by-election, it will be for other unnecessary expenditures. Either way, we lose.

IF BN ever accepts the crossover of the two PKR assemblymen who are charged for corruption it clearly shows one thing. That BN was behind this all along. For what use would this two men be to BN if they were convicted for corruption? Their sentence would disqualify them. Unless BN knows something all of us don't and that is they were deliberately framed by BN to put pressure them on them to jump over and BN can manipulate their trial to ensure they are acquitted so that they can be of use to BN. If that happens it puts paid to Pak Lah's loud trumpeting of reforms to the judiciary. It is business as usual for BN to manipulate and control the judiciary for their own dirty ends. Pakatan must make sure this point is driven home in the next GE or any byelection. BN may win the battle for Perak by employing dirty tactics but PR must make sure these dirty tactics are revealed to the public so that the public can understand that if BN could resort to such under handed tactics, what chance would an ordinary citizen have if they have to go up against a BN Govt. for any reason whatsoever.
