(The Star) - Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim claims his plans are still on track and more Barisan Nasional elected representatives would cross over to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).

Saying it would occur on a “bi-weekly basis from next month” onwards, the PKR adviser said people have made up their minds and “it’s only a matter of time.”

Anwar told a crowd at the a Chinese New Year celebration held at the Hokkien Association Hall here that “change was imminent and we will surprise you from time to time.”

“Now the ox has come in, just be patient ... we are working hard just like the ox,” he said at the event that was organised by Selangor information chief Datin Paduka Dr Tan Yee Kew, in reference to it being the Lunar Year of the Ox.

After the Opposition’s strong showing in the general election last march, Anwar had promised that he had more than 30 Barisan MPs ready to cross over to the Pakatan Rakyat alliance by Sept 16.

None did and since failing to meet his own deadline, the former deputy prime minister’s voice had been relatively muted on the crossover issue until the defection of Bota assemblyman Datuk Nasaruddin Hashim on Sunday, who quit Umno to join PKR.

The nation is bleeding and we see politician totally self centered!!!

All the more Pakatan Rakyat needs to stay UNITED and focused on the national harmony. Penang, Perak are showing great effort, Selangor and Kedah please buck Up.

As for Kelantan thanks to Tok Guru we remain in harmony.

Let the OX toil but please do so with intelligence!

High time to leave the Barisan Najis sinking ship, and to dissociate yourselves and distance yourselves from these Plunderers & Lanun ! The message from the Rakyat is Crystal clear and if you don't start leaving Barisan Najis, once the winds of change build up to typhoon level, you will sink with the BN ship. No one can save you then !

All you MPs and State Assemblymen, Hear Ye, Hear Ye, join Pakatan Rakyat Today !

DSAI, please keep to tangible things !!!
Your words on the " bi-weekly from next month onwards " defections can cause you to loose more credibility this time around, if it backfires or not falls through.

My 2 cents worth.

Methinks the adun from Be eNd should resign instead of just jump ship.
There should be by elections. That way the rakyat will get 'ang pow'.
See my logic. Moreover the rakyat then will show whether they are wanted as their
representative.
There should be no defection but resignation. This is what democracy is all about.
THERE SHOULD BE BY ELECTIONS TO SHOW PROOF OF THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE.

Anwar knew this long ago that many wants to defect from umno but it's just that the timing and moreover PR doesn't want crossover.PR wants by-elections, so that umno will throw in more money and the rakyat will benefit more plus more pain will be inflicted on umno. The slow death have thus started and the pain extreme!

PR taking over is inevitable.
It will happen.

What I would like to see now is a shadow cabinet being formed.
This will give PR candidates some practise on their roles before they take over and face reality. Also a chance for the general public to get an idea of the future.

Very important to test the lineup and do any fine tuning now.
