Got calls from two sources a little before 5pm today to say that the family of A Kugan have just been given permission by the relevant authorities for a second post-mortem to be performed.

Nanda headed out to the University Hospital where it was understood the second autopsy was to be carried out.

Got one call from Nanda around 6pm. Informed that YB Gobind Singh, YB Sivarasa, YB Manikavasagam and lawyer  Surendran  together with family members of Kugan were at the hospital. Selangor CPO was now being ambivalent  about whether the second post-mortem had been consented to. Seems that the earlier confirmation had been communicated orally by some senior police officer from the balai in Subang Jaya.

Just before 7pm, Nanda called again to say that its settled. Although the CPO was being difficult about the choice of pathologist, the family’s wishes have prevailed.

I suggest that Hindu funeral rites be conducted for the IGP, the Selangor CPO and all others who protected Kugan's killers. They should be dead anyway. I curse them with all my heart. Watch the results.

PDRM have a long & dirty history of murdering captives. My bro in law even withness the killing of a bank robber "execution style" by plain clothes police in KL years ago. If the coppers can so daringly do it during busy lunch time, who can stop them back in the balai. Even my bat kut teh retired copper who work in-house tells me torturing & other forms of PDRM abuses is common pratice.

Who is Kugan? Even Anwar can be tortured! Talking about our feeling of insecurity by Malaysians: It's not the criminals giving us that feeling; it's our Police! That's one of the reason that many are votes for OPPOSITION! Stupid BN! Wake up! Well, I guess they'll never wake up! I think it's useless trying to wake them up! I give up!

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 24 (Bernama) -- The MIC wants an independent committee of eminent persons to investigate detainee A. Kugan's death under police custody, whereas the MCA wants a second autopsy to uncover the actual cause of death.

What are we saying here? The first autopsy is not accurate? Not professionally done? Wrong? Make up? Fake? Bought?

Has anyone heard a peep from any of the dogs from MIC, or for that matter MCA or Gerakan condemning this brutal case? Has these dogs, including the newly elected head of the running dog chinese party even dare to make any feeble sounds?

What a sad state of affairs have we in this country. No sense of decency from any of these politicians. Sad sad sad. We will make sure that none of these parties remain after the next general election.

I do think that this is the time when all of us here wants to have the "hudud" now.
I am sure that many of us will volunteers to stone those culprits who murdered Kugan.
I do feel that jailing or hanging the polis anjing is just too lenient.
They have no remorse nor a slight mercy to the rakyat.
Remember batu buruk? Cheras Mahkota?BERSIH? HINDRAF? Anti Fuel hike?
Anti ISA? DSAI blacken swollen eye? Hot scalding water?

I don't know why most Malaysians putting the blame on PDRM. I would think the Minister for Police to step aside and allow an independent body to investigate the issue until then nothing will be resolved and business as usual. Getting a few police charged and jailing will only satisfied the short term. This has proven in Anwar's case. CPO Khalid is abusing his power because he is following his likewise superior. The buck does not stop at CPO Khalid.

Our government complains of Guantanamo, bad George Bush blah blah blah.........

What's so different with our Malaysia especially PDRM? Kugan might be up to no good but he MUST be subjected to the laws of the country and so must the Police.

Are we going the way of Zimbabwe?

Getting a second mortem at UH....is this joke.....most government doctors have get no balls and the spine went missing when Saiful had arse examined.......it's better they get an independant private foreignsic specialist under the watchful eyes of Amnesty International to do the PM.....otherwise the dungus at UH will state that all Kugan's fractures were a result of a pre existing bone disease....

Why bother about MIC? They are there to sandiwara onlt la! Sijmilarly Gerakan and MCA. I don't trust them anymore. Just because they were trounced during GE, they are trying to show that they care. Give them the power again, they will bodek UMNO again and behave like poodles.
Look! Who are representing Kugan's family now? Gobind Singh and a few lawyers from PKR and DAP!!!

Deputy Ministers Likely To Face Action - Syed Hamid

JOHOR BAHARU, Jan 25 (Bernama) -- Two deputy ministers are likely to face action if they are found to have broken the law in the incident where a crowd raided the mortuary of Serdang Hospital in Selangor on Tuesday, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar.

Datuk K. Devamany and Senator T. Murugiah, both deputy ministers in the Prime Minister's Department, were present at the mortuary when the crowd entered the premises to examine the body of suspected car thief A. Kugan who had died while in police custody.

"No minister or member of the administration is above the law and if you have committed an offence then you have to face the consequences," Syed Hamid told reporters before attending a public forum on the Internal Security Act (ISA) here last night.

He also said that the 11 policemen being investigated for allegedly causing hurt to Kugan would not be spared action if they were found to have abused their powers.

Kugan, 22, who was detained on Jan 15 at the Taipan police station in Subang Jaya on suspicion of being involved in the theft of luxury cars in Sungai Chua, Kajang, died while being questioned on Tuesday.

Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar had said a post-mortem found that Kugan had died due to fluid in his lungs but Kugan's family sought a second post-mortem, insisting that Kugan had died of injuries.

Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail said later that Kugan's death had been classified as murder.

On the forum, organised by a non-governmental organisation called The Patriot in collaboration with the Home Ministry, Syed Hamid said the ministry was ready to hold similar forums throughout the country to enhance the public's understanding of the ISA.

He said such forums were an important platform for the government to get input on the ISA from the people.

Too many deaths in Police custody. What is the police trying to do or prove. I am sure a senior IO would have been present when what ever happened to young Kugan. So AG Part-tahi, Hamid blur and the PDRM, STOP all these CRAP and form the IPCMC to investigate impartially and make PUBLIC the findings.
