Kota Kinabalu: The civil suit filed by former Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat against Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman and three others for alleged abuse of power by withdrawal of the approval to erect the Mazu statue in Kudat has been postponed to today (Tuesday).

Judicial Commissioner Yew Jen Kie on Monday allowed the suit to be heard in the High Court here today (Tuesday) as Musa and the second defendant, former State Secretary Datuk K.Y. Mustafa, were not in the State and will be returning Monday evening.

Chong's lawyer Ansari Abdullah did not object to the postponement.

Also named in the legal suit are former permanent secretary of the State Housing and Local Government Ministry Datuk Ujang Sulani and the Kudat Town Board as the third and fourth defendants respectively.

The suit filed on Feb 6 last year claimed that before issuing the letter of withdrawal of approval on the Mazu project by the Kudat Town Board, its executive secretary had issued a letter to Chong on May 25, 2006, ordering construction work on the statue be stopped pending approval and further directive from Musa.

It was also claimed that the letter also described the project site as being near the Asy-Syarikin Mosque in Kudat and cited this as the reason for the directive and that various quarters had objected to the statue being constructed at the site. The defendants were represented by State Attorney-General Datuk Roderic Fernandez.- Bernama

Is that Barisan Najis in charge in Sabah? Not PAS, right? Real men of religion like PAS has Tolerance and Respect for other people and other religions but not zealots, harlots and Lanun like Barisan Najis.

These morons probably erroneously think that this sort of partisan action will make Allah forgive their myriad sins. here is the latest HNN (Hell News Now) news for you Lanun. Hell and Lucifer awaits you and the more you repress other minorities, the more punishment lies in wait for your soul, or what is left of it.

Btw, Musa Aman has been holding the other polticians by the balls. Shame on the Kadazan, Murut, Dusun, Bajau, Suluk, PTIs leaders.

You are right and this was my line of thinking just a few weeks ago. On the other hand, we can handle Pas but we cannot handle the baboons in umno.

What has happened in the last few weeks is that the KT malays have finally opened up and have become less parochial. This is a sea change which I saw for myself. I believe Trengganu malays are now willing to vote anyone regardless of race if that person stands for principles. The Trengganu malays have changed. Quite permamently I believe. My believe was underscored when I saw the development in Kuantan!

Regarding the couple charged in a syariah court for drinking in a pub, let them apply to the high court. Let them exercise their rights according to the constitution first. If they are not willing to stand up for their rights, why should we?

Can one regardless of his / her status bring along all his / her wealth to spend after life? The more wealthy a person is the more are problems to haunt that person before being dragged into the grave by unseen forces! smilies/grin.gif smilies/grin.gif smilies/grin.gif

You are right Old Man. The wealthier a person is, the harder he will be able to leave
this materialistic world peacefully cos the law of karma comes into effect.
One reaps what one sows. If one has made a meaningful livelihood he will have a good
death. People tend to forget that when they become rich. They also are ignorant that death is certain and that life in this world is uncertain. Nothing remains permanent in this world. Everything is in transition. If only more people is aware that we are
part of this cosmic world and is existing here now, to better our souls and not our EGOs.
