Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today warned against overconfidence in the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) ranks despite encouraging signs for the Pas candidate in the Kuala Terengganu by-election campaign.

With the Barisan Nasional (BN) campaign appearing disjointed and Chinese voters ready to swing to PR, the de facto PKR chief called on the tripartite alliance to "work as hard as possible as we are facing a slanted media and hundreds of millions being poured into the campaign" by their opponents.

Anwar has long accused the BN government of fixing the electoral process and claimed that PR would have won last year's general elections had the contest been a fair one.

"They are the first underdog in history who control the media and have the most funds," he said when asked to comment on Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Khir Toyo's statement that BN candidate Datuk Wan Farid Wan Salleh was the underdog in the campaign.

"It is as if only one party is contesting," he said of certain news sources.

"Frankly, I do not know," he replied when asked if he agreed with some analysts who considered the battle a 50-50 affair.

His reasoning, he said, was based on the fact that while many were of the opinion that the 11 per cent Chinese electorate would give their vote to Pas candidate and Wakaf Mempelam assemblyman Abdul Wahid Endut, the majority of voters were Malay and they were still the main factor in deciding the winner.

I hope the campaigners are avoiding it. Arrogance is the trademark of Bee-Ant (BN) and not the PR people but human beings are weak and can be overwhelmed. 4 more days to victory insya Allah.

UMNO Datuk Wan is an underDog with 20,000 Phantom vote already in his Bag.

Polis = 8,000 Army 6,000 confiscated IC card 6,000 = 20,000. Now need 15,000 more to legitimised Najis Razak as PM.

Keluar awal, Keluar Beramai-ramai sampai Total votes EXCEED 80500 then we take down UMNO-BN by People Power the next day win lose or Draw. Remember KT registered voters only under 80300. We will not tolerate EC and UMNO rubbish one more day. Kita turun padang !!

Don't underestimate UMNO's dirty tricks or you will be sorry. No point crying foul after you have lost the elections. After all the abuse PAS has suffered at the hands of UMNO, it is not the time to be naive.

Acute desperation has inject fear in UMNO regime, after assessing the overwhelming crowd PAS has, the goons resort to blatant cheating game, making use of government machinery, millions and millions of taxpayers' money are drained into KT campaign. Laptops are given out freely, phantom voters from other states are imported, hundreds of contracts are given out, free food and lodging for their goons, Arafah white camps are spreading out to accomodate the campigning equipments and resting places for their goons, batallions of police forces to intimidate the KT rakyat and their visitors, the poster voters who could multiply their individual bodies by hundred folds to upset the result of the by-election..

The members of PAS and its coalition are working very hard towards the winning goal... but, there will be Divine Intervention, He who sees all, and hears all, shall dispense judgment accordingly to the cries and woes of Rakyat..

I have one thing to say: No matter the extent of foul-playing spewed out by umno goons, the fate of Kuala Trengganu's rakyat is in the hand of ALLAH!!!!

Anwar, you must concentrate in the Malay areas and give your best. Listening to your oratory skill will be enough to tilt a massive swing to Pas.

sound advice. dun stop punching until da enemies are completely subdued. dun celebrate until u break da tape at da finishing line & collect ur medal. work on every single vote with sincerity & humility be it malay, chinese or indian voter. it's not juz abt winning. it's abt winning it with a lion roar dat will reverberate thru-out our beloved homeland dat we malaysians deserve something much better! something dat has none of da BN ingredients in it!
