It was a long time ago that I used to pass through this town to get to work in the off-shore rigs in the early eighties ! Not much has changed since then.

Of course I have also been here for the occasional day trip, but still that don't matter much as when now that I'm here for "another" and personal visit, I have to admit I am taking a closer look at one stark similarity from then and now, which I paid no interest then !

I'm talking about the periodic floods and the almost absolute absence of proper drains ! Yes, I spoke to a few very ordinary people I met apart from the very "famous" people I had the honor to meet earlier yesterday, and it was a plea from these ordinary rakyat that irked me most. Here I must confess that I have not touched base with the locals before !

It's all becos those full time umno thieves are plundering KT for such a longtime that they have forgotten all about repairing drains etc.

You wanted to show the Rakyat that during the periodic floods in KT, you would send voluteers or NGOs to help. In this manner, you would have an opportunity to demonstrate that you cared and looked after the KT resident. Actually, you needed the publicity more than anything else.

Do you still value human life despite the the period floods that have had caused loss of numerous human life, the money from Oil Royalty would have helped tremendously to reduce the occurance of floods.

But you choose not to save human life because you needed those money to enrich yourselves and build your personal materialistic empire.

The only good drains those thieves build are those that drain the wealth of the country and leave the poorest and least fortunate high and dry. These are the people that the country should be according the special rights to their fair share of human decency.

First, Kt voters must elect PAS's Addul Wahid Endut into Parliament. This will eventually strengthen the Pakatan Ratyat's resolve to fight the next GE and drive the UMNO-led government out of Putrajaya. Once this is done, then alot of changes will take place including getting back all the monies that those pilferers have taken while in office including those from their cronies. Only then can the new PK government have the funds for re-development to the country.

Wan Farid and his brother, Wan Farker can spend $300 million to host the Monsoon Cup but not willing to even spend $300 thousand to build monsoon drains to mitigate the floods in terengganu!

They spend the royalty on Islamic civilisation park, instead of open tender, they give to UMNOputra, charging the T'ganu govt kau-kau! They shoot 2 birds with 1 stone. 1st, prove their Islamicness, & cover their mistakes.
