(Bernama) - Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should maintain discipline among PKR leaders to ensure the people's continuous support for Pakatan Rakyat (PR), DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said Friday (2 Jan).

He was responding to questions from reporters pertaining to a misunderstanding between some PKR and PAS leaders in Perak which could affect their chances of winning the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary by-election.

Lim, who is Penang Chief Minister, told a press conference at his office, that he would look into the cause of the misunderstanding and would find ways to resolve the matter.

On the candidate fielded by PAS to contest the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat, Lim said DAP would give its full support to the candidate picked by PAS.

"...DAP as a component in PR will support and extend our cooperation to ensure a win for the candidate," he added.

PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang announced last night that Wakaf Mempelam Assemblyman Mohd Abdul Wahid Endut would be fielded as PAS candidate in the Kuala Terengganu by-election, which nomination is on 6 Jan.

The by-election is held following the death of its Member of Parliament Datuk Razali Ismail on 28 Nov last year.

Polling for the Kuala Terengganu by-election is on 17 Jan.

"Agree to disagree" should be the PKR motto!
They should certainly have to set aside all common knowledge disagreements and concentrate in becoming the next government. Then, and only then, should they lay all their cards on the table to resolve their differences and decide what's best for all Malaysians. If their differences cannot be settled, then divide up Malaya among the 3 parties and rule accordingly.

Sounds nice & simple; isn't it? smilies/grin.gif Impractical? Perhaps!

PR is determined to rough it out, rain or shine, to oust the demons of the Century once for all! UMNO has to be defeated.

No matter the seemingly tough obstacle, the members will surely find ways and means to overcome it. With the strong and equally determined rakyat to back them up, I don't see any major problem to squash the evil regime!!!

Way to go Pakatan Rakyat, fight for the rakyat, and fight to the last!!!

Many PKR leaders have AMNO and MICEE blood running in their bodies. That is why when they taste a bit of success, they can't control their desires.

I quite believe Anwar is a reformed person. So he must cultivate the right attitude in these leaders so that their focus will not be on positions of power and on ways to rip off the coffers.

Disagreements are healthy as this brings in debate over a certain issue. It would not be like the days of Mahathir where one decides everybody follows. This "Yes Sir" culture nurtured by thw war lord tradition is long gone and must not be brought back to life. DAP must also emulate this and not let Karpal and Kit Siang carry the culture of "what I say is law"

it's not out of the blue that our beloved cm voice up abt pkr or it's not due to mike outburst, but it seems like certain ppl are not happy with the election of the village head for the chinese majority new village. what is wrong with the election of the village head when pr has promised during GE that they will bring back the local election? the little bird in komtar penang told us that our beloved cm was piss off with the village head election conducted by none other than pkr vice president, bypassing the beloved cm's party proposal od appointing party insiders for the post. if all the 70 over new villages were to have election for local village heads then they will not hv the opportunity to reward their own members with the post.

it's not due to any outburst among pkr members when our beloved cm make the above statement but it's simply due to their greed for the positions in perak.
