Case is transferred to narcotics dept as nine test positive for drugs

Malaysian police said yesterday that they will not press sex offence charges against 26 people who were arrested in a private apartment during a New Year bash in Kuala Lumpur.

The case has been transferred to the Narcotics Department instead as drugs were found in the 3.30am raid.

Those arrested included a 22-year-old woman newscaster with a private TV network, a 24-year-old part-time actress, a disc jockey and several students, according to newspaper reports.

When police stormed the 11th floor apartment in a building close to the Petronas Twin Towers, the occupants were all fully clothed and the few condoms found had not been used.

However, the media had dubbed the gathering as a 'sex party' on Thursday, and claimed that couples had been found in each of the three bedrooms.

The revellers were 'highly intoxicated' and some broke down when arrested, the New Straits Times (NST) daily had reported on Thursday.

It said the apartment was fitted with disco lights and loud music was playing, and condoms, beer cans and half-eaten pizzas were strewn all over the floor.

Initial investigations revealed that the organisers were a couple who had earlier entertained their guests at a nighclub elsewhere, the NST said.

Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigations Department chief Ku Chin Wah said yesterday that the case had been handed over to the city narcotics department for further action because of the drugs found, The Star newspaper said.

Initial urine tests showed that nine people, including the newscaster and the actress, had tested positive for drugs, said Kuala Lumpur narcotics chief Kang Chez Chiang. 'The nine, aged between 20 and 30, tested positive for ecstasy and ketamine, and they will be sent...for further tests,' he said, adding that all of the 26 arrested will be detained until tomorrow to have their statements recorded.

'We are questioning them to identify the source of the drugs, to aid further investigations,' he said.

A person convicted of consuming dangerous drugs can be fined up to RM5,000 (S$2,100) or jailed for up to two years.

The so-called sex party followed reports of a no-underwear party planned in Johor on New Year's Eve.

That party did not take place, said the Johor police, which had earlier warned that it was a hoax.

Police had nevertheless kept a close watch on several spots in Johor which could have been used for the party, NST said.

Meanwhile, police arrested 60 New Year revellers in the streets of Kuala Lumpur and Penang on Thursday for fights, molesting women and spraying foam at police officers.

In Kuala Lumpur, 52 revellers were picked up during street celebrations in the small hours of Thursday in three different areas of the city.

They were among some 30,000 who had gathered in downtown Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the countdown to 2009.

Several tourists and Malaysians who got into a fight after a drinking spree at the tourist belt of Bukit Bintang were arrested.

In Penang, some 100,000 people gathered around the Gurney Drive area, the NST reported. - The Straits Times

Eureka! Our cops really know whats old DNA and new DNA -the occupants were all fully clothed and the few condoms found had not been used.....Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigations Department chief Ku Chin Wah said yesterday that the case had been handed over to the city narcotics department for further action because of the drugs found....

These are my pertinent questions to the COPS!
1)If the condom was used so what? When rapists are running wild and thieves skinning the homes you guys have all the time for this?
2) Did Musa ever tell us what happened to the drugs that got lost in JB? Has any of you tracked where all that drug went to?
3) Has Musa tracked who are the insiders destroying our young by working in cahoot with the Drug Mafia?
4) Who was the demented informer for this raid?

If Musa can answer these questions then he may be blessed with a new heart from God

There you see, the immediate repercussion and side effect that flew down from the bad examples and minds decadent education ever been portrayed by our great leaders! In the minds of these youngish kids, since our leaders can go overseas for courting alien beauties and have sexy fun in the six stars hotel suites, they can also organize a sex party in the service apartments which surely is no wrong! Why not, if the leaders can do, why can't they just follow suit what the leaders were doing?! It's the duty of the Education Minister now to upgrade the moral lesson, starting first, from the national leaders!

They should also encourage all the kids to visit Malaysia Today for two great reasons - to read the truth of news release and secondly, it can help them to improve the standard of English! By looking at the event, with the involvement of the newscaster, the TV station surely will help to tell another side of the story with every intent to cover up and paint up a beautiful facet in order to save the name of the TV network, thus the unreliable news! So must read MT, it's uncensored and 100% reliable!

Won't be surprised, if rotten education is unchecked and the moral of our top leaders remain lusty and randy, all these future leaders of the Nation will one day follow the footsteps and emulate to even supersede the behaviours of the great leaders! We won't be surprised, one day, the police will find not only condoms but C4 in the raid! Gosh! smilies/cool.gif

kalau tiada bayaran ..... ikut perundangan perlembagaan negara sepenuhnya ...
ahhhhh itulah umno !!!!!

The media got choked on their own vomit.
They probably called it a sex party because the police found condoms in the wallets of some of those patrons.

Now they are spinning to untangle themselves from it.

Drugs aside, The thing to keep in mind is that the police raided the hotel room on the suspicion that it was a sex party. And the police presumably acted on a report.

NOTE: Unsubstantiated suggestion removed

No harm for people to have sex party as long as not drug. It is not an offence to have sex whether they are from which background. It is their own problem that they have to deal if they caught with AIDS, VD etc.. Police and religious agencies have no rights to arrest people who are having sex privately.

Even if it is a sex party , what law did they broke? Unless minors are involved.
They can only be charge for some drugs offenses. But it will be hard to do so as a lot of people in a hotel unit. Only some can be charge for consuming illegal substance. I can only say the more stricter the law is , the more people will rebel.
The more people say it is immoral , the more people will do it.
But, while there are so many pondans/ transvestites nearby the hotel the authorities seems to be more interested in nabbing people having natural sex. What say you?

If one is caught using illegal drugs, then he or she must face the music. It is as simple as that.

Don't do the crime if you cannot afford to do the time!
