Najib And Dr M Upscale Their Blogging For 2009 PDF Print

(Sin Chew Daily) Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak and former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad both seem to be upscaling their blogging at the same time just hours before the new year is ushered in.

While the presumptive prime minister's website www.1malaysia.com.my looks savvy complete with Youtube, Flickr and Twitter together with a just posted New Year message, it would take quite a while to catch up with Dr M's blog which has been chalking up over a million hits a month since launching, a few months ahead of Najib's.

In fact, from midnight tonight, chedet.com will cease to operate from this address and will be accessible through http://www.chedet.cc.

H promises there will be almost zero disruption as all those who have registered as users/commenters need not re-register and can still submit feedbacks as usual. It is available for view now but will not be moderated until after midnight.

However, http://www.chedet.com will still be accessible. However, it will no longer be updated and moderated and will be kept in its present state as archival material for a period of time, he blogged.

Who says you can teach an old dog new tricks?

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ahmad Abdullah Badawi, will stick to the normal manner of delivering his official New year message later this evening. No gizmo for him. For the moment at least.

"I am delighted to be able to speak to you again as we say goodbye to 2008 and bid welcome to 2009. It is now nearly four months since 1Malaysia.com.my was launched and how interesting those months have been," Najib blogs.

Turning to more serious stuff, he says, "The still unfolding global economic crisis remains our most pressing challenge. Although Malaysia is well-prepared to meet it, the reality is that the crisis began outside of our control and the depth of its impact will also be determined by outside forces.

"To prepare for this economic challenge, we have introduced a number of initiatives, including a targeted stimulus package, income enhancement measures, guaranteeing your saving deposits and price reduction campaigns. This will also allow Malaysia to revisit and reengineer our capital market and financial landscape, where necessary, in such a rapidly developing global market. We stand ready to introduce additional stimulus measures if and when the need arises. Collectively, these represent a powerful boost to our economic engine.

''Those are some of Malaysia's responses to this economic crisis. As the government acts prudently and vigilantly in managing this problem from a macro perspective, I ask each of us to reflect on ways we, as individuals, can better economically prepare ourselves, our families and our communities in ensuring our economic liveability comforts for the coming year.

He said, for many of us, a new year means a new beginning. The New Year will also bring more changes to improve 1Malaysia.com.my as a place to honour and explore Malaysia's rich diversity. I hope you like the new developments of the website, with more exciting elements to come. He added that his website is available to you as an avenue to provide your views and insights on how to leverage our shared objectives of respect and unity towards strengthening the ties that bind all Malaysians as one nation.

He logged off by urging visitors to keep coming back and to continue to be an active participant in this "important national dialogue." (MySinchew)

Najibs website is a joke, who the dickens will key in their cellphone number and other details for vevery post.

Frankly it looks like some teen celebrity site not one used by a politician to gain feedback and disseminate info.

Ok Najib! i know you have enough money to open 100 Internet cafes, employ a thousand cyber troopers , but pl tell your crony friend the illiterate Albar , that blogging is injurious to his health. The reason,---- he cannot read or write forget about comprehension!

What is a .cc (dot cc) domain?

Answer:
The .cc domain suffix is the top-level domain (TLD) for the Cocos Islands. However, it is commonly used as an alternative to the ".com" suffix for commercial Web sites.

Just don't waste your time on Najis' blog.

This poll found on Najis' blog pretty much shows the kind of comedian he is.

You must either like him or maybe not so much, but you are absolutely not allowed to hate him.

Well, so much for freedom of choice in Malaysia under him.
