MACC Bill passed

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 — One down, two to go.

Parliament tonight passed the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Bill, which are one of three pieces of legislation the Abdullah Badawi administration hopes to push through before he steps down as prime minister in March.

By a voice vote, the majority of lawmakers gave their support to set up a commission which will have more autonomy and power to tackle corruption.

This follows two days of robust debate which saw lawmakers from both the Barisan Nasional (BN) and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) put the proposed MACC through some rigorous examination.

What is the frigging hurry to pass MACC?

It shld be called Independent Commission Against Corruption.

These 4 words are all very pertinent, very meaningful, whether combined or on their own.

Since Badawi is the first PM to introduce MACC, we rakyat recommend that the PM himself should be the first person to be investigated by the MACC since many report was lodged against the PM regarding on corruption. Do u all agree, rakyat of Malaysia?....hahahaha. Im sure the PM will wet his pants..I hope he will backfire himself.... smilies/cheesy.gif
