THEY HAVE NO REAL AND VALID VIEWS OF THEIR OWN BUT ONLY HATRED OF THOSE WHO HAVE THEM, AND WHO HIDE IN THE ‘JUNGLES OF THEIR MINDS’ LIKE THE COMMUNISTS IN MALAYA BEFORE THEM DID By Mansor Puteh
It's time to turn the tables on the nameless, faceless and pointless commentators for good -- so they know who they are. It's time we expose them for who they are – nothing! They have no views and they do not even exist. They can write whatever they want, but they are still not read. That their views are not read by serious researchers and academicians only by themselves and those who are also senseless like them. THE NAMELESS, FACELESS AND POINTLESS COMMENTERS, YOU ARE NOTHING! So to these anonymous writers, we say you are annoying. To these nameless and faceless commentators, your views are mostly pointless. Why bother to write and express yourselves when you can’t even admit that it was what you had written, and is proud of? You can never compile all your ‘short essays’ and publish them in a book, one day, and get some people of standing to launch it. Your words and personal views are hidden under the weight of the articles you comment on which are read by many more persons who have nicer things to say about them. Worse, when some of them post short comments in English for essays that are in Malay which is not unethical but uncivilized, too, only that they did not know it. It is like the Indian entertainment reporter who was invited to speak in a Malay talk show on Astro Ria some years ago, and who chose to speak in English. I was annoyed. Has anyone heard any Malay speaking in Malay in any program that is in English? By my own estimation, there at the most one hundred of these nameless, faceless and pointless commentators who habitually post unsolicited comments in the popular websites. STUDENTS SITTING AT THE LAST ROW IN CLASS AND WRITING ON TOILET WALLS They are probably the students who sat at the last row of the class from Standard One to Form Five and who did not say a word, but who made a lot of noises in the corridors arguing over petty things when the teacher is out of sight. And when they get to the toilets, they would scribble on the walls. And they have not discarded this habit and are turning the websites into the walls of their toilets. The words they write on them, should therefore, remain where they are until they are wiped off by the janitors the next day. Some of them use two or three and even four email addresses with false identities, and if their own comments were attacked by insiders, fellow nameless, faceless and pointless commentators, they would use their other identities to hit back. This is basically the game they are all playing. And they get lots of thrill doing that, and in the closets of their minds. Come out of the closets and be a man or woman! Why fear if your views are good and valid? You only hide because you know your views to be lousy and not worthy of any response. They cannot be dissected, for you know who you are and where you stand, mostly on mush, if there things to be dissected in the first place, because for most of the time, there is none. This much I can say of them. I don’t care what you say, for you have not said anything. There is no debate when the debaters do not exist. And they cannot judge either. Who are they to judge the views of the others? These commentators have no views. They have hate, hate and more hate… Worse, their understanding of English is limited so no wonder they do not fully understand what they have read in the right context. THE 13 MAY, 1969 INCIDENT If some Chinese academics wanted to come up with a book to revise a certain and fanciful part of the history of this country, those which mostly surround the 13 May, 1969 tragedy, it is okay, especially if he thinks he has got interesting facts on the tragedy from files that he had sourced from the British Museum or any other agencies in London. I personally did not care what he has written in his book, nor did the majority of the people, because that is his right to do so. And I am not about to shoot the book down and let it have a life of his own, so hopefully the academic, too, could be rewarded by being the center of attention for a while, and if he is lucky, also get invitations to speak about his book in international forums. But for a Malay to try and rediscover the early history of this country including Singapura (or Singapore), it is not okay. NAMELESS AND FACELESS COMMENTATORS ARE ANTI-DEMOCRACY! Nameless and faceless commentators are indeed useless to democracy. They are only good for anarchy, especially if what they comment on is useless to any real and meaningful discourse. Anarchism breeds on the senseless and useless – the people who have scant idea of academia or knowledge and who do not know how to engage themselves in any meaningful exchange of ideas – ideas that make the country and the world a better place to live in so that we are not stuck at the same place in our existence. That there is life after ignorance; that we can develop common wisdom if we care to believe the vulnerability of our own senses and not consider ourselves to be the only beholder of truth, and to make any uneducated judgment is the last that we should aim. The faceless, nameless and pointless commentators mostly do that because they think just because they are given the opportunity to ‘throw stones in the dark, and hide their hands’ they feel superior to the ones who had instigated them. I am afraid nobody is giving this privilege to them and they cannot seize it from anyone since they do not deserve to be so honored. Because as in any civilized debate, the proponents normally get the final say, not them. They can only oppose but they do not have the final say, unless if they propose something which the others can oppose. They pass judgment very quickly when their minds become convoluted and they do not know how to listen and learn from the wisdom of others. They are guided by their hatred which is only now being exposed. THEY SUBSCRIBE TO ‘KETUANAN SENDIRI!’ They believe in ‘ketuanan sendiri’ and have no need to listen to the views of the others. They are not religious or Islamic, as in Islam anyone who curses, the curse will go back to him them and not go very far to hurt those they were intended. So I wonder why did they have to curse their own names and those of their fathers’ all the time. They think they are cursing mine and my late father, but they were wrong. They only curse their own names and those of their fathers. Just like phantom voters, the phantom ‘experts’ and commentators are totally useless. Therefore, I don’t really care what they say since they are not saying anything at all. They think they have said something substantial, but what is it have they really said or written that is so? I write based on facts and on historical facts and nothing else. And I can still say whatever I have written in public forums as they are valid views on many things that most people are not aware of. They mostly write of their personal insecurity. So no wonder they hide not only their identities, faces, names, but hands, especially after they had thrown stones at people whom they cannot strike back using words which are kinder and saner. They do not sound like they are educated; they spew nonsensical and idiotic jibes. They want others to think, write and feel and do what they do. THE COMMUNISTS AND THE DESTRUCTION OF TUGU NEGARA But what they are doing is nothing more than what the Communists did when they hid themselves in the jungles only to alight from them in the dead of the night to fire bullets randomly and once in a while in the early 1970s, also got the then Inspector of Police, Salleh shot while he was being driven to work and passing beside what is now the Menara Maybank. It was one of the three routes his driver had to take in order that his movements are not followed. But the mistake was that the particular road was narrow and there was traffic congestion, so one Communist pumped bullets into him and was able to rush off riding pillion. Or, if they are saner, they bombed some of the statues of Tugu Negara to get front-page publicity in the media. But what the Communists didn’t realize was that the bombing or destruction of some of the statues turned out to be good for some including some ITM art students. How so? Read the last two paragraphs in this article. Because when the authorities decided to repair them, they got the artisans to reshape the faces of the soldiers who earlier looked English with their features, so they now look Malay. But still they are not that much Malay because the statues are still tall. The original designer of the Tugu Negara was an Italian sculptor, who did not do his homework well. He did not know or realize that Malay soldiers all have small noses and are short. And all the statues are fashioned on European men who are more than six feet tall. So despite the statues now having Malay features, they are still tall. Maybe the Communists did not try to destroy the Tugu Negara for what it meant to them or to the Malays, but because they did not like the way the Italian sculptor who had not caricatured the statues to look more realistic and Malay. But what the Communists then did after bombing Tugu Negara was to quickly rush back into the jungles leaving the incident fodder for the press for days. So this was all that they were able to do, and nothing more. And it’s the same with the nameless, faceless and pointless commentators who are so afraid of identifying themselves because they know what they write does not make sense for most of the time. And no wonder they are not interested to reveal their identity. Some of them could very well have taken some notes from the Communists by doing such a thing, which is to try and cause damage to other person’s reputation, while hiding in the jungles of their minds. Lastly, I do not read their views and if I do it is because I want to study how low their mentality is. In fact, most people who read the websites, do not read them, too. Because it is a sheer waste of time. They are only read by those who had posted these comments. * * * * * * * The government was not able to get people to reconstruct the statues so that the newly constructed faces of bodies matched with the remaining parts that had rusted a lot, so they could match. In the end they were able to get some ITM art students were able to do that and in a short period of time. These students were immediately rewarded with scholarships personally by the then prime minister, Tun Abdul Razak. But only one of them accepted the offer. He is someone I knew at ITM and later whom I met in Boston. He had gone to study at various universities in America and where he continued to work and has not returned since, other than to make short trips.

The Lost Hero by Zedeck Siew
“What happened to your course?†I ask.
“I didn’t complete the course,†Mansor answers. “The university let me come home because of my condition. Seman was supposed to be my thesis.†He mailed a copy of the film along with Basikalku and Kadir dan Kim, two other dramas in which Mansor was involved in the 80s. “I still remember the price of stamps in 1987.†They cost him RM75. “The university never got my package. I think the mail clerk took it; you know how the postal service is.†(Comment: Don’t you think that he should send another copy if the package did not reach the University. It was only in 2005, 23 years later, that Mansor submitted his thesis to the university and that is despite saying that “A degree doesn’t mean anything nowâ€,.)
When Mansor returned to Malaysia, in 1982, the National Film Development Corporation was just set up. “I thought I could participate straight away in Malaysian film. Unfortunately, the government didn’t take the initiative to contact the people who studied overseas. That’s why FINAS is dominated by untrained people. It was difficult for me to get a loan for Seman. Seman is there for a purpose: to unite people. To unite people and create more jobs; that’s what cinema is about. But these people think cinema is just for fun.†Mansor is thinking about submitting Malaysian Snow as his thesis. “A degree doesn’t mean anything now, because I already got my education; but if you deserve it, and it doesn’t cost much, why not?â€
“With Malaysian Snow, I want to find a new way to make films. I’ve been back for 23 years, but I haven’t done much, yet. Malaysian Snow is going to be my big film.†And he repeats, “It’s my stepping stone to Hollywood.†(Comment: has any Malaysian heard of this film, “Malaysian Snow†??)
For the last 23 years, Mansor has functioned as a film critic: his column ‘Ulasan Drama TV’ in the Utusan Melayu was, according to him, the first column about film in Malaysian press.
The British Maharajah and its 56 companions currently exist in a hard drive. “4.2 million words. You know, with computers now it is very simple.†In fact, Mansor has drafts for 60 books, but he only wants to publish 57 for his ‘World Record’ collection. “It’s something catchy; you have to learn how to market the books, you know. And you can remind people about independence.†Mansor is still looking for a publisher, and acknowledges the fact that he might have to wait for some time. “But it is a challenge,†he says. “I think it’s not much, a person boasting he has written one book. Take it at face value. You have to admit that a person who writes 57 books at one time is not normal. If this is not exceptional, what is?†Mansor predicts his books’ publication will turn the world of literature upside down. However, this success is dependant on market forces; Mansor wants to accumulate 2000 orders for his RM1957 set before looking for a publisher.
===========================
Ming Lee…………………, told me he has known Mansor for some time. “He’s a little stubborn, misguided, but I respect him. At least he never tried to borrow my money. He sold me a camera once. It stopped working after a week, but at least he never tried to borrow my money.â€
So, UTUSAN MELAYU is MANSOR’s paymaster…that explains why he has applied twisted facts in trying to incite racial hatred among the races in Malaysia. True to form and typical of any one employed by Utusan Melayu, Also we have here an unknown writer who can’t find a publisher for his 57 books, and who took an incredible 23 years to submit his thesis for a master degree. Which idiot would continue to write 57 books when not even one book was published . INCONCEIVABLE but MANSOR PUTEH did. Also, could you imagine any person who has the audacity to submit his thesis for a master degree which is 2 years’ program, after 23 long years. INCONCEIVABLE but MANSOR PUTEH did. This has to be a world record and it should be placed in the Guinness Book of Records. Was he awarded the Master Degree finally? I have no idea, maybe U-Turn Bala should be engaged to check this out. MANSOR PUTEH had implied that the government should employed those who have studied overseas….(NOTE, he did not said GRADUATED). So any one who studied overseas and who have NOT GRADUATED should be employed by the government. Imagine the mayhem this will cause. Mansor Puteh STUDIED overseas but did not GRADUATE. See how this MANSOR applies his self centred idiotic reasoning.
CONCLUSION……Mansor Puteh is an eccentric, misguided, virtually unknown writer who thinks the whole world have to listen to him. His twisted views are worthless and MT should not allow Mansor Puteh to continue to make a fool of himself.
