(The Star) KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 16 cyclists taking part in a protest tour in Johor Baru were detained just before they were about to take part in a protest campaign.

The 16, who were part of the Oppressed People’s Movement (Jerit), were arrested at 9am Saturday in front of the Suaram office just as they were starting their cycling campaign for the southern region.

Suaram coordinator Wong Chai Yi said in a statement that 30 other cyclists were stopped and questioned by the police.

Jerit had organised a nationwide cycling campaign for 16 days to make demands on the Government on several issues.

The campaign began Dec 3 at Wisma Darul Aman, Kedah, in which 50 cyclists were supposed to cycle for 16 days through several states before handing a memorandum to the Prime Minister in Parliament on Dec 18.

Polis Di-Babi Malaysia arrests peaceful cyclists, but they let the rampaging violent Mat Rempits go scot-free.

Yet more evidence that the pig sty based in Bukit Aman is the largest organized crime syndicate in the world.

How's that for perception, Najib?

Just as well they arrest those cyclists. You never know if the other thieves, liars and murderers would ram their cars into those poor fellas like what they did to that young PKR man just before the March election.

Oh ! i get it now --- all invaders to this land --- pl use a bicycle , there is no need for F16 or stealth bombers.
The no speaka Englande police will arrest all who walk and ride a bicycle.
As FFT says , Mat rempits!
This culture is fine to terrorize housing estates and the highways. These days they stop you and ask you to hand over your motorbikes .No need to steal in a planned way in the darkness. The police applaud this , thinking at least their youths have a mode of transport .
UMNO has in fact advanced their support groups well with ""good ""education and skills !! Their youth support has been given the status as self sufficient with others hard work and money they steal from. Thanks to Uncle Jak too for religious studies !
UMNO and PDRM are true Leaders of the dirty scummy world .

The Malaysian government and police are always targetting at innocent civilians doing something for a good cause and consider them criminals, but let the real criminals go unscathed. smilies/angry.gif

Mat Rempits who robbed us at traffic lights are okay.

But unarmed cyclists are not.

How pathetic. Get rid of this useless government!

Anwar, we still support PR taking over, make no mistake on this stance!
