RPK

"Saya memberikan pandangan mengenai dasar-dasar kerajaan, bukannya mengenai parti-parti politik," kata beliau ketika ditanya cakap-cakap bahawa sudah berubah sejak dibebaskan 7 November lalu.

G. Manimaran, What are you trying to imply, that YM RPK has been neutralised? You expected him to blaze his guns during that interview. You must be joking dah. He knows what he was talking about and he is still very much razor sharp, hence, he won't go out of topic just to speak his mind.

Remember one thing, YM RPK is most lethal when he is not lambasting away and the likes of Manimaran should not be underestimating him and misconstrue that he has been "turned over". I would rather his captors who had been actually turned over, over the 56 days in Kamunting. The many Ustaz may have even left Kamunting scratching their respective heads or skull caps because they were Too Pening understand let alone comprehend.

Now, that's YM RPK for you and I'm not sycophanting him here, either.

TGIF Folks and have a nice weekend.

Hello Teo Siew Chin,

I am just a Foot Soldier to my Commander-in-Chief, that is YM RPK. But he always treat us commoners as equal to him. Yet, I always try my best to maintain a proper decorum as far as he and his Family is concerned.

(Btw, Dear Siew Chin, I got your message from your posting on the other article. My profound apologies for calling you a Bro', silly me. But you can be a great friend and a Sister to me, anytime. Take care, dear.)

Thank you (RPK) for the MT that you sing it.

In this corrupted nation, in fact Im a bit of a puke
If you tell a truth, you've probably be hellycage ISA
But Pete have a talent, a wonderful thing
cause everyone listens when he start to 'sing'
Im so grateful and proud
All he want is to sing it out at MT

So I say
Thank you for the MT, the songs Pete singing
Thanks for all the joy theyre bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without MT or Pete what are we?
So I say thank you for the MT
For giving it to Malaysian

Mother says Bolehland full of Corruption before I could walk
She says Pete began to sing long before 308
And Ive often wondered, how did it all start?
Who found out that nothing can capture a heart
Like a truth can?
Well, whoever it was, we're supporter

So I say
Thank you for the MT, the songs Pete singing
Thanks for all the joy theyre bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without MT or a Pete what are we?
So I say thank you for the Pete
For giving it to Malaysian

Ive been so lucky, I am the Malaysian with RPK
I want him to sing it out to everybody
What a joy, what a life, what a chance!

So I say
Thank you for the MT, the songs Pete singing
Thanks for all the joy theyre bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be? (in Malaysia)
Without a MT or a Pete what are we?
So I say thank you for the MT
For giving it to Malaysian

Some ex-detainees did change after their realeses. I knew of several cases.

You sure mellowed a bit, Pete. But I guess you are occupied with your court cases and the prospect of being dump in prison again.

That's normal reaction but don't let the goons rob you of your fighting spirit. Most importantly, speak up and never allow them to rule your life.

G. Manimaran.. You represent the Star?? All that you guys wanna do is manipulate the game right? Everyone knows that.. Well the fact is
Raja Petra is the real bright shinning STAR of Malaysia and he is the GAME. So you wanna be famous by playing games with his testicles eh.. Giving and planting us with false information.. The role may have change but the game remains the same. Don't hate the player.. blame the game.
Well you can take your so called ambitions and shove it where the stars don't shine.

Dear Raja Petra and MT readers/commentators,

My own observation is that you DID CHANGED after the March 8th tsunami. Perhaps, the sudden "glory, respect & adulation" even idolization you received by many M'sians sort of "gets to you" although deep inside me, this adulation will surely not affect your inner convictions. It should be noted that after March 8th, your pieces and the articles posted by Admin in MT [including those of your commentators], especially during your ISA sabbatical, clearly displayed an obvious alignment with Pakatan Rakyat, and sadly, with lots of racial overtones graphics too. In fact, I was truly surprised when you mentioned in the last article prior to your arrest under ISA (a law which I concur should be reviewed) that you have put your fate/faith (or Freedom)very much on DSAI's Sept. 16th takeover of the Federal government. Still, I am delighted that you are today a free man albeit saddled with numerous court cases heaped by our authorities.

I have been following MT ever since 2004 and I distinctly remember that you stand for justice; will fight injustices (amar makruf nahi mungkar); prodding all to revert to our original Federal Constitution as conceived by our founding fathers, in both the letter and the spirit of the law; that you will "whacked" [the correct word may be "expose", No?] both members of the government as well as the opposition. I also recalled your idea regarding the possible formation of a National Unity government. Noted too was your support for BERSIH and later Barisan Rakyat.

As such, based on the interview that you gave in Al Jazeera, I am delighted that you have clearly reinstated and articulated your original position prior to March 8th and that, I believe: is to be part of a "pressure group" together with members of civil society and individuals who shared, struggle and strive in accordance to the manifesto of Barisan Rakyat, a document which was also accepted by all political parties in Pakatan just before PRU 12. But most importantly was your aspiration shared by a majority of Malaysians which is: to usher/push/cajole/struggle/taunt until we the rakyat can be truly convinced that a two-party political system is viable and the best way forward for a democratic Malaysia.

If you remain true to the above para, I am very sure that given some time, you, plus those in Barisan Rakyat will be an asset (with an Agenda for Change ?) to those in government and opposition alike. This is the "pressure group" [or the "third force"?] for which the likes of Zaid Ibrahim, Dr Azly Rahman, Dr Farish Noor and Dr. Bakri Musa should be part of. Citizens must be given a choice unlike BN's March 8th slogan, "Only One Choice". Hence, one of the major role of this "pressure group" should be in developing critically thinking citizens who must have access to a variety of information, views and news thus enabling them to arrive at an "informed opinion".

I humbly submit that all Malaysians can play a constructive role towards a progressive Malaysia and we need not be aligned to any political parties or politicians to play our part effectively.

Best regards and sallam to Marina,

peace,

D.Zin

Thanks again Teo Siew Chin.

Super Admin,

You guys/gals decided to edit my posting. Fine, I am not complaining, after all, I am just here on the basis of a privilege. Furthermore, I am also not bothered with the number of votes for or against my postings because those number of votes would never take me to Parliament anyway, if you get my drift.

However, what I can't fathom is, as to how words such as Aiyah, marbles or even POHDAH can be considered to be vulgar/unacceptable. Probably, you have to come up a list of do's and don'ts in terms of words to be avoided under the terms of usage.

For your info, thus far, (I'm not bragging here), I had the opportunity and privilege to proof-read 6 Masters, 3 MBA, 5 PhD and one DBA dissertations from UK Universities candidates and all have passed their respective courses. Therefore, I can reasonably think I know my English.

I have kept my peace thus far, though many a commenter have taken you guys to task. Edit, if you must but do it so that the language used does not end up sounding gibberish and out of context.

YM RPK and Bro' Labisman, please take note. As it is, the number of comments here are already dwindling. If not checked, the articles may be up but you could be chasing flies waiting for comments to be posted.

NOTE: The views submitted by KW Waran were edited to remove superfluous words in order to conserve space. - nk

i dont really understand this interview. whats making the interviewer think he had changed?

it never even struck my mind. he seems the same. is the interviwer basing it solely on the al-Jazeera interview? Well, RPK did say that the target group was different and it would make no sense hitting out at political parties. I agree with him. He's still sharp..im sure many of us wouldve seen the video in court last week when he was quoted as saying-->

"you follow this case closely. we're gonna demolish them piece by piece and strip them naked"

Interviewers should start doin their homework.

There are no noticeable changes as to the way RPK writes after his ISA stint. But definitely slower in posting his articles.
RPK do need some rest and spend time with his friends and family. He is human not superman.
Writer requires writing mood. if something fires up inside Pete's mind , he will write.
RPK is also facing some court cases. Therefore , some topics written by Pete can't be posted right now.

Someone here mentioned dwindling comments.
Thousands of people comes in to read without commenting. And this depends on the topic. MT depends on readers or in IT term number of hits and not on comments.
We have to be clear on this.
And yes, it is the prerogative of MT to censor some 'not too polite" word/s. Be creative instead of using terms like " Pordah or ma mak " .
Cheers.

G. Manimaran wrote this for the Malay edition of the Star Online, right? The Star is MCA-owned, right? MCA hasn't left BN yet, right? So why feature such an article?

My guess is that the senior editors of The Star secretly admire RPK and what he has done on behalf of justice, truth & freedom in Malaysia via his "No Holds Barred" brand of gonzo journalism (which they themselves can't do or they'd be out on the streets within 24 hours). They would like to feature him because he is undeniably a figure of national importance, especially during this period of sea & sky changes in Malaysian politics. However, they must put a sly spin on the story to please the bug-eyed monster who inhabits the home ministry - make it sound like RPK has lost his bite after 56 days in Hamid Albar's Hotel Kamunting.
This can then be used to demonstrate that the ISA is a useful tool to tame the wildmen of the blogosphere. Arrest them & throw them in there for a few weeks. They will come out mellower & not so antagonistic to Umno/BN - or at least not so pro-Anwar. Don't forget, Anwar is still the BIGGEST THREAT to all those who have been sodomizing the nation since 1981! Why so? Because Anwar has spent 16 years INSIDE the Beast called Ameno and he knows who has done what & how & to whom. He has the master key that will unlock the closet where all the skeletons are kept!
