(NST) KUALA LUMPUR: No posts were offered to Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah to entice him to cross over to the Pakatan Rakyat-led Penang state government.

Neither had the Seberang Jaya assemblyman demanded any posts, said Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In confirming that Arif Shah had been wooed by PKR leaders, Anwar said the question of posts did not arise.

"He did not talk about any posts, neither did we discuss it. We did not make any offer as all posts have been filled.

"It is just a rumour," he said at the Parliament lobby yesterday, referring to talk that Arif Shah had been offered a deputy chief minister's post in light of his ongoing feud with the Umno Permatang Pauh division leadership.

If Arif want to join PR,fine, but he will have to earn his respect and the post he is interested.PR must not use positions to lure oppositions or give it to them simply becos they want to crossover. All PR positions must goes to loyal supporters who have help PR in one way or another. We must show appreciation to our supporters first.

I do believe that Arif must have done alot of soul-searching, or else he would not make his intention known to join PR.

If Arif is sincere to join PR, I doubt he minds if he is not offered any high-ranking post, the intention has to be transparent on his part. To be an ordinary party member shall be good enough if his contribution toward the party is solely based on the interest to make life easier for Malaysians as a whole...

No offense, but id prefer if PKR focus to get in real people who have proven mettle in the corporate world or NGO organisation. Sometimes when i look at the cabinet, i wonder where all this goons come from!

Poor Arif, looking worn out and lost when shopping in 1Utama together with Datin. No one cares, even thought he's a familiar figure. Flexing his solid gold Rolex King.

For a person who so used to free lunch and crutches, it will be a big sacrifice for him to crossover. Let him rot in UMNO!

one thing to remember, Ariff Shah is NO Zaid. He's no asset to PR, unlike Zaid who is one valuable asset.
